sw_acer made an app called Milestone2Toolbox, which he is planning to release in english (he is chinese).
Maybe you can talk to him, it is already translated in his sources in his github (KyleTang user) and maybe you can compile it yourself.

Hi all,
On the asus transformer, using openvpn-settings causes unending tray notifications.
Since I am an big time openvpn user, it was quite annoying.
I forked the original code from http://code.google.com/p/android-openvpn-settings/ due to it no longer being updated, and ported it to honeycomb.
I'm usually not a java coder so there might be some issues.
I've only tested this on the transformer with honeycomb 3.1 with tun build into the kernel, feel free to report any bugs on googlecode or in this topic.
You can grab it from here: http://code.google.com/p/android-openvpn-settings-honeycomb/downloads/list
To avoid any issues, remove the old version first.
Thank you, big improvement!
Great job. Thanks a lot.
Great work mate!

What version of original code have you used? 0.4.1? 0.4.7?
Hi,
Thanks a lot!
Would it possible to integrate Tasker support also? This would be really great!
http://tasker.dinglisch.net/developers.html
Then it would be possible to start the OpenVPN Connection only in certain Networks.
I need all developers for the bravo. I want to create the ultimate bravo rom! But im a noob and I want all the help I can get. So whos in?

We need also some strong developer, someone who can treat with codes
Unless someone can beat me to it, i'll set us up the IRC channel later on this afternoon...
ddms is a tool that is great for monitoring logs to find out what the bugs and errors are, by the way... For anyone who didn't know. When you have trouble with something, run ddms, repeat that, post that log ... You can also use it to take screenshots
(Just trying to post a few things for people to get familiar with in the meantime)
and it seems that if anyone wants to compile gingerbread from source you need a 64 bit os just a heads up i set up my dev enviro on a 32 cause it was a convienent one for me then later found that out and now i have to switch it all again n_n so .. avoid that... (if anyone knows this to be false tell me but it sure seemed true from googling)
Well I was thinking and I saw a lot of good roms for defy. Let's start by porting more of them. the sense roms look great and there are really good cm7 roms like the Acer liquid themed ones. I do wish we had a person that was good with codes. I really like stock GB camera. I would love to have a honeycomb ROM as well.

mmm, I'll try that ddms tool later when I arrive home.
I always use adb logcat to create log files, its very easy.
I sent a log file to someone in modmymoto but it looks he wont answer, a created that log file after taking a picture and you can surely see how it works and where are there errors.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QNUGYJGI this is the log file a sent to him and the name of the picture that was taken is 2011-09-17_20-11-22_962.jpg.
The photo file is created but no image, its just like when gingerbread was being ported to cliq xt.

compiling gingerbread from source? but dont we need a gingerbread kernel fro bravo to do that?
Im very new at this, but I have seem some people speaking about it
I took gingerbread CM7 from DEFY and ported to my BRAVO, but I cant get camera app working, I cant even record videos.
We already have CM7 and MIUI, you can't make a more enjoyable ROM that those two. CM7 is AOSP Gingerbread with great added on features.
A great thing a dev team could do is work to get the camera working for CM7 and MIUI.

We need to macth some libs to get camera working, or we need someone who make it work by modifing some file.
What marquae11 is trying to say is that he wants a stock rom with no modifications, no changes, just stock.
For example a stock CM7 for bravo, no icons changes, no extra launcher, just like me!!
EDIT:
I received the answer from turl from Modmymobile, the one who adapted CM7 for CLIQ XT.
He told that need to macth some libs and use bravo libs for camera, something that we alredy knew.
But in the log file there was something I never saw and he told me that we are using this lib:
LibSOCJordanCamera we need to edit some lib or something else.
if you guys get MIUI and CM7 with a working camera on the bravo you will be considered heros and everyone will be happy.

Yes thats true, but we need a code expert!!
I made an adb logcat and I found that the camera is working a lib of defy and need to change it to bravo.
And how do we change it to bravo?

How do you suppose we get a pro coder? Should we ask on modmymobile? PERHAPS get some people together and buy a Bravo and give it to a developer? The Bravo does not cost much maybe like 160, we could each donate a little bit and give it to some pro coder... but hopefully someone will be able to do it just looking at both phones system files.
im cool with this

We would only need like 8 $20 donaters, who could set that up though? And even then we would need to find someone that would take it and they would have to have a reputation...and who would set this up? I would put in $20 but we'll need 7 more people.

CM7 for BRAVO!!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HKY4OVEI
Try it and post any issues or problem!!
I used 2nd init defy and remember to follow the next (always used) steps:
1) place the rom in your sdcard
2) boot into 2nd init defy -> recovery -> stable recovery
3) wipe data/factory reset
4) wipe cache partition
5) advance, wipe dalvik cache
6) install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard
7) reboot
To take photos use Fast Burst Camera.
Im going to create a new thread tomorow morning!!
No action snap is installed, to install Fast burst Camera (zoom and autofocus) go to this thread to download it:

Do not use Defy Baseband Switcher if your 3G is working!!
Hi there,
I heard of Iris but for me it's.. well.. not that great. So I've created my own app called Risi. You can try it for free on the Android Market.
It would be great for me if you could test it a bit and give a little review of what Risi does well and things that are still missing. I'm going to include that new features then to make it an real Siri-Alternative for those without an iPhone.
Regards,
AndroidChromeOS
i don't know for some reasons its not speaking ... but replying fine!
I think it's a great idea and works but the engine it's a bit hit and miss. Even if the voice to text is recognised the suggestion sometimes is a bit random. Why not use Wolfram engine? No guesses why Wolfram apk hasn't been updated in market for a while.

And I think he does not understand French?
Its betfer than iris.
u should include better ui , risi speaking to us.
better brains.

Thanks for all that feedback. Risi will speak soon to you.. I'm currently working on this. The program is already connected to trueknowledge, thats something similar to wolfram alpha. The problem is that the chatbot is before that technology so he have to decide witch informations have to be fetched. But thats what I'm going to fix today. Please stay tuned

Hope to hear from you soon
Thumbs up !
i dont need it to talk, but what is it for? it doesnt do anything other than say
"ill consider that for u"
or
"what are the ingridients"
I don't know what you've said to him but he only recognizes english atm
She's speaking now!!!!!!1111
Good !
And the French version please ?
I like !
Can it recognize german?
No it's english only at the moment. But I may add other languages in the future
I've tried other "assistants" and they always have that robot "Moon Accent" as Peter Griffin says.
This the same or no?
Yeah sure its the Google TTS-Service.. Write another one frome scratch would take years.
Woow cool its faster than Iris and it has a better chatbot. Keep on your great work.
all i could get her to say was Hi. She would say nothing more.
how should this work? i cant do anything in the app. it only says hi and thats it, cant click the mic or anything. do i miss something?

Where I currently stand on the Huawei U8800:
So, I first got the U8800 a good number of months ago. I loved the device and started working on it straight away, made some good progress. Then I got lower AS Level results than I was hoping for. And my parents decided to split up. So basically, I needed to work harder at school, and my life was kind of a bit more hectic. I have still been working on the U8800, and I almost got CM7 finished. The only issue was that I had no camera preview (I was building libcamera from source rather than using prebuilt libs). A lot of hard work was put into it, and I can't take all the credit. Tom Giordano (Tom_G), bukington, dzo and stockwell were all helpful through the process (although contrary to popular belief I didn't just copy dzo and stockwell, I implemented things in different ways which I thought were cleaner). I respect all of the other developers despite any misunderstandings in the past. This brings me to where I stand today.
For the last few months, I've still been working on CM7 when I've had time to try and get it ready for 7.2, although that hasn't been often. Trying to fix the camera preview proved to be quite a hard process that resulted in me wanting to kill the phone on several occasions. I never succeeded. While I was doing this, Tom_G was working on CM9 for the ZTE Blade and bukington has been doing some great work on CM9 for the U8800. I've now realised that the port won't be ready for 7.2 and I am therefore abandoning it. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I AM ABANDONING THE U8800 OR CYANOGENMOD FOR IT. I am going to focus my efforts on working with bukington to get CM9 working on it. He has already done a lot of the work and it's looking promising. I will spend as much time as I can on it, but I need quite high grades to get to the University I want to be in, so I am aware that most of my time will still have to be devoted to school.
I am sorry to anyone who I have disappointed with this device, but time really isn't something I've had a lot of in the past 6 or 7 months.

I don't know what the problem even is. I'd love to help with it but I'd rather focus on ICS work than kernels for gingerbread. My time is limited now unfortunately.
Ao you are planning to use the 3.0 kernel for the ics version? Because on the 4.0 rim from dzo his kernel is a 2.3.5 version

I've got it working on MazWoz-EVO-B6 ics. You won't be able to get SmartGlass from the Play Store so you'll need the non-phone specific apk. Search the xda forums for rjtoudouze smartglass apk. Sorry I can't link to it <--- new guy here
I have it working on Mazwoz Jellybean as well.
I have it working on MazWoz-EVO JB 4.1.2 too. Everything seems to be working fine and haven't had any issues or lag. Not too much to do with the app yet, but it's pretty cool to move through the dashboard with the phone. Would be really nice to messaging people because I hate typing on the controller. Pretty interested to see how developers take control of these features as well.
