as the title says... currently stuck at 12% for 6 hours of charging.
restarted, reformated and reset(mgdlr and wp7 os). still no go.
i know the battery drain is crazy in this build. batt hack is a no go.
battery save. no go.
any ideas? using v1.
update:v2 is a no go. able to charge in mgldr screen so cable, charger good.will flash 5.51 radio to reduce drain.
FIXED: Flashed v2 with built in radio 5.51T(combatible w/ EU and tmo). camera trick worked. back charging and drain gone. ROM runs smoothly. almost perfect... too bad ROM cant print money.. lol
FIX is Flash v2 with 5.51T radio(combatible w/ EU and tmo) and do camera trick!
i hope this helps!give me a thanks if it does.
try to flash with v2 maybe that will help
also before you flash in v2 folder try to change radio to:5.51.09.29
and then flash (on that rom you can use camera trick that will reduce battery drain)

are you getting any LED indication at all?
If you turn the phone off and plug in USB does MAGDLR boot the phone?
I assume you know you have a good USB cable? Can you confirm the cable can charge another device?

What about your LED? Are you by chance getting a Orange/Green flashing LED when you try to charge in WP7? If so it may be that windows thinks your battery is too hot... turn off and throw in the freezer for 10 minutes
if you have no LED indication at all then i am afraid i'm out of ideas
Same problem here. Connecting the cable make the battery blink for some seconds then showing nothing anymore. LED are off. Can charge the battery in a cradle and in Magldr so.
updated post w/ a fix.

Dear ppl,
When i put my HD2 into the wall outlet = charger (220 volt, i live in Holland, Europe) it fully loads to 100%, but when it reaches it stops charging and starts draining my battery like the phone wasn't in the charger. I connected my phone at 80% in the charger. I went to sleep, when i woke up the battery was only 50% how can this be?
Will a rm /data/system/batterystats.bin solves this problem? Or is tis only for ppl who's phone won't charge the full 100? I have the same problem with MDJ Froyo Sense Revo 1.5. I never had this problem with the build MDJ revolution 2.3 but it effected the 2.3 build last night to
Android build: MDJ FroYo Sense Revolution v.1.6 [kernel: MDJ S3.1]
WinMO Build: ChuckyROM GTX lite
Radio: 2.15.x.x.x
Can anybody help me?
------------------------------
The malfunction was:
With my own battery when i connect it to the charger the lightning icon appears but the batteryicon isn't moving, so its not loading. With my friends battery the batteryicon is moving, so it my battery that is defective.
Sounds to me like your battery might be deffective. Try to remove to battery stats.bin... If it still does it, get a new battery
Okay, did a rm batterystats.bin and i will see what happens if i go the sleep and put the phone in the charger. I ain't the only one with this problem. Some ppl in the MDJ's threads have the same ****.. so i don't think my battery is defective.
It did not help anyone got any ideas??
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Des no1 have any other ideas at all????
Experienced the problem too this night. Had 42% left, linked the phone to the charger and had 14% left this morning.
Running the latest [email protected] with the 2.12.50.02_2 radio and 2.08HSPL.
Rebooting the device fixed the problem, but I have no idea what the reason for it was...
Or maybe ,
this happens when you use USB extenders, connect directly ( if you're actually using them)
Try booting in Windows Mobile, then go to Settings, All Settings, System, Power, and be sure the box isn't checked. It says "When phone is on, do not charge the battery when connected to a PC."
I have no idea if this would affect charging ability when the phone's running Android, but I have had my phone stop charging when this was checked if I was using an off-brand charger in Windows Mobile.
When i turn the phone off and insert the charger then my phone charges. Cuz when i boot my phone i see the percentage has gone up... Is my battery defective of is it my phone?
Hmm i installed the new 3.14 official htc rom and i deleted Excellent Boat Loader 2.0. Now when im in Andoird and WinMO the phone charges again. I noticed the problem started when i started to use EBL 2.0 cooked in with chuckyrom. I will charge the phone evernight and hopefully the problem wont appear again!
Still the same **** is it my battery or my phone?
you got another battery to try out??
With my own battery when i connect it to the charger the lightning icon appears but the batteryicon isn't moving, so its not loading. With my friends battery the batteryicon is moving, so it my battery what is defective.
The USB charger just doesn't ever charge! It doesn't matter whether I connect using the wall plug or through my computer - the little charging symbol comes up (in Android in the battery notification area) but that only lasts for few seconds, then SpareParts App says the battery is discharging... SpareParts App also says that both batteries I'm using are "overheated" and the temperature is "-11degrees celsius" and never changes from that.
Since I bought the phone just under a year ago I've actually been using 2 (stock HTC) batteries with a separate battery charger, and that's why I'm still able to use the phone - once one battery discharges, I just recharge it using the separate battery charger, then swap in the other one. Haven't had any problems until now...
This only started happening just before I went from using MDJ's Cyanogen Mod to Pongster's Hyperdroid. I can't remember for sure but it seemed to start happening after I upgraded from MAGLDR 1.12 to 1.13.
Pongster's Hyperdroid GBX v8 Clockwork Mod
Radio: 2.15
SPL: HSPL 2.08
MAGLDR 1.13
SpareParts says:
Battery health: Overheat
Battery voltage: 4221 mV
Battery temperature: -110V
Really hope someone can help!
Cheers.
did u tried to flash WM stock ROM back ?
If not try it and see if the phone charge under WM stock. If yes u saved but if no than u have a hardware problem
Thanks for the quick reply.
But if I flash back to WMROM, won't that just fix charging for WM? I don't want to go back to that useless OS at all, so I need a fix that allows me to charge under Android...
well, i don't mean u have to stay on WM. Flash it back just to see if is all ok under original WM and if yest than u can flash Android back cos it would mean your phone (hardware) is ok and u have problem only with your Android ROM.

thanks il give it a try
I have the same symptoms. I'm testing with UltimateDroid 3.3 in combination with CWM 3.0.2.4. I thought it might have to do with the bootloader cLK that I recently installen. But now I have tested it also with Magldr and the problem remains.
I checked with charging through the PC, with the wall plug and USB cable and with another charger with micro USB.
Any suggestions?
Check for pocket lint or other funk in your micro usb slot.

Update: I flashed back WinMo stock Rom. The problem was still there. Battery doesn't charge (although the LED is flashing). I got it back to the shop and it is now in repair.
Hi,
Since yesterday my phone (leo/hd2) died and when ever i tried to charge it it would go in to a boot loop then back to normal booting (as in wp7 bootscreen) but now a day later it won't even charge! I have checked the pins tried different cables and still nothing. Also there is a small red tab on the bottom of the battery near the connecter which used to be pink.
Maybe your battery is completely drained? If so, check here.
it won't even turn on so i can't perform this > does this mean it's dead?
have you tried a different battery because you have used a WP7 rom and when the battery drains out it can not be charged ( unless charged on another phone) so i recommend you using a different phone to charge your battery or get another battery into your phone
Thanks, i'll try that now. But does the red tab mean anything?
Hi,
I have this very often. Problem is that your battery is completely drained and the phone doesn't have enough power to start.
This is how I solve it:
start charging your phone
when it switches on, keep pressing the power on/off button
you'll arrive in the magldr boot screen.
just wait for about 5 to 10 minutes
start windows phone (it's possible you'll have to remove your battery and put it back in your phone).
Voila WP7 starts without any problem.
good luck!
try an external battery charger/universal battery charger. (i recommend keeping one handy whenever u r messing with wp7)
Lol, Now the phone won't charge at all! :O wtf! Piece of crap HD2 >

Piece of crap?
Whoa, cannot agree there...
If you carefully follow all the tutorials, hints and tips here at xda, HD2 runs fast and smooth with several OS´s of your choice.
However, there is still a possibility that your device is defective. Or the cable. Or whatever. But that doesn´t make HD2 a piece of crap in general.
Lol, its the charging port and a defective rom once i fix both i will have to go back to miui ;( Is there any rom which allows charging while the phones off.
Hi,
It's not the rom, it's magldr...
Koen
What do you mean? Do i need to downgrade? Can you charge while it's off?
if u have 1.13 and u can reach the magldr screen then plug it in,quickly switch it to usb masstorage mode. but dont keep it there for long as the screen will be awake all the time.
try keeping it that way for 15-20 mins,it shld give u enuf juice to boot it up

what he meant was that, its not the ROM's fault that u cant charge it while the phone's off,
you see, whenever u plug in a switched off phone,it quickly boots into the magldr mode, before booting ANY OS( or any version of any rom ),and thats y it wont charge while switched off(unless future magldr provides this function)....the only reason WinMo cld charge your phone while switched off is that it dint need MAGLDR before booting
try the usb mass storage method if possible,it works
hope i helped ya
dont forget to thank all the hardworking developers
I always have a problem with aftermarket chargers and charging through USB. It won't chargers in both scenarios....any body has an idea on that?
When my HD2 completely drains i just attach the (original) charger and it will start cycling boot...but eventually the battery will be charged.
two days before i try change my hd2 rom with sd android.
it way very good and my phone boot up normally with android and working fine.
when i try to setup some application on new os my phone hang up and i have to eject the battery to restart the phone.
after that my phone restart with WM6.5 and everything seems ok but when i plug my phone to charger, it dosen't charge the phone and notification led blink in orange/ green color.
can somebody halp me?
wm6.5 might be the problem
are u running the sd build with the stock rom?
most of the problems do occur due to an incompatible wm6.5 rom
i suggest to try the android build with energy rom in wm6.5 rom development
and use radio 2.15.50.14 from the radio thread
ur charging problem might be solved..
further u can increase ur android's performance by creating an sd-ext partition(max1gb)... but it's just optional...
green / orange flashing led often points to problem battery.
Also look very carefully at the three battery pins, check for bends / cracks.
i change my phone os to android by nand method and the battery charge fine but it discharge about half a day with 30 min talk time.
i reflash it with official 3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14 file and the same problem occur.

It sounds like Samsamuel maybe right and it is your battery going bad.
Check your phone battery temperature. Flashing green/red means also overheating.
[edit] it's your battery then, get a new battery and see if the problem is still there. I had the problem in android where I had a fake chinese battery and it just remained at 0%, and would only charge on cradle charger. If you want to keep the bad battery for a while try to using an external charger and see if it charges it better.
II have rooted U8800 to Geno Cm7.2. As soon as it starts the battery status shows 0%. I have another U8800 with me. I changed battery and charger cable too. When I insert new battery into old mobile it shows 64 cent battery level but in new mobile after rooting it shows 9 %. what could be the issue. I am guessing Bootloader but please help me out. Thanks

I'm only guessing here, but you can try to do a full battery calibration.

Thanks but I tried that already. and cleared all the caches.. I will try to install 2.2.1 (stock rom) let's see. If anyone can think of something else please let me know. Thanks in advance
Plug it via usb without the battery and turn it on. Then plug it in when it fully boots. It usually fixes it.
