I like it lots and lots and lots and sometimes when i use an IPhone or a HTC Sensation i like it even more .I really like being able to talk to people by pressing a few numbers not sure if it will catch on though .

Had mine for the grand total of 4 days...so far i can't fault it. I upgraded from my zte blade, and this is just awesome!

Well comparing it to the evo3d it basically has better specs plus hw acceleration which is a very nice feature. The screen is awesome imo, tho some people don't seem to like the oversaturated colours. Personally i love it but you have to check it yourself before you decide.
Anyway i wouldn't upgrade right now if i were you, you still have a very good phone, just wait for something newer and better, like the quadcores expected to come out in 2012
My first Android and like this so much. Even after using it for three months I still couldn't make it work the way I'd like, but still its not bad. Frankly, I'd be more happy if this device had iOS instead of Android.

If this phone had IOS instead of Android id sell it, IOS is nowhere near as good as Android, everything works out of the box but your strictly limited in what you can do,i hate restriction.
Best phone right now without a doubt, having owned it since May it's been excellent! Pervious Android device was the DHD, it's faster, smoother and slicker!

Fastest android phone out there, but build quality could be better.
tbh the only phone that could probably knock the sgs2 off it's perch is the motorola atrix.. bigger battery and tegra 2, but then i've never used one so i have no idea about user experience.
Hello My very post here. Best phone I ever owned. it would have been perfect if it was a tegra Device can't see why they did that for a flagship Device !!!!
You will miss sense. Htc phones have better dialer, more useful widgets, like for example favorite contacts and rss reader, better sms delivery report, lockscreen and ringtone volume management. On other side Sgs2 has better multimedia support (mkv) better screen and weight, brilliant call quality and its very smooth in menus.

Siri=iris...so why

Hi just read some chaps have managed to port siri over with a lot of work...my question is...why try porting it...iris is in alpha state on market, bit more work it'll get there, why don't people just help those devs lol.....all the gaff..androids stolen virtually nothing off Ios so why start now!

Good point...we do actually deserve this one,tit for tat I guess

Do you have a link to the ported siri? Haven't heard bout it yet
Sent out of my Free Candy Van.
Edit: just found this link. Seem really interesting. dvice.com/archives/2011/11/siri-protocol-c.php
Lol Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave. RIP, man.
Quick point guys.
If Siri is ported and it uses the "token" that the iPhone 4S uses to identify itself to Apple's servers, it becomes warez.

That's one of them
Still is difficult to do but they did it
For sure Andy its a nightmare, that's why I said iris is a better bet and if gains momentum will be a much better idea,

It's a score, not a benchmark. I wish the Android community would post their scores and not their "benchmarks".
bench·mark/ˈbenCHˌmärk/
Noun: A standard or point of reference against which things may be compared or assessed.
Verb: Evaluate or check (something) by comparison with a standard: "we are benchmarking our performance against external criteria".
Benchmarks are a good way to demonstrate the "superiority" of your rom, kernel, app, rain dance [*] to those of the inferior other developers.
Nothing more, nothing less. Never were... for anything capable of benchmarks.

Hey guys I'm looking for the fastest rom, I mean for quadrant score with 1.3gz oc', and for over all speed and gaming
Anyone know of any good ones? I want it to look

Have fun
noobs... gotta love 'em. There is no universal ”fastest ROM.” Try different roms and kernels to see which one gives the results you want on your unique, individual tablet. Of course, given a bit more experience, you'll also realize that benchmarks don't necessarily correlate to real world performance.
Oh, and IBTL.

closed, we don't allow rom comparisons. everyone has different views. try them and see

What ROM and Kernel are you using? Gamers and daily task users! Tegra 3 Nexus's!!

Just got my Nexus 7, I'm familiar with all the kernels and Roms available. I've downloaded all from the original development thread as well as the newer android thread. For kernels I've used Motley, Franco and the kernel that comes from faux. I'm trying to find a balance between power efficient and no lagging at all. Roms I've used paranoid android, cm10, prime which is better and j18. I'm looking for the best gaming combo, while saving battery. Any suggestions?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I use my 7 primarily for games and for that reason I stick with stock kernel. Some EA games won't download data with custom kernels and I've found stock to be just as good on battery as any custom kernel and not far behind in performance. Your results may vary from anyone else's, so no one can really tell you what'll be best for you.

Use android 4.1.2. It is way smoother and less bloated than android 4.2.2

Best suggestion- try them and formulate your own opinion. These types of threads are frowned upon.

Frowned apon, but I put ALOT of time into that thread. It's just one user's results but frowned upon? Think before you type.

May want to grab a cup of coffee to wake yourself up since my reply was in no way, shape, or form directed at you. It was directed at the OP, as this thread is just another violation of the forum rules that's going to get locked as soon as the mods get around to it.

I thought this was the questions thread for Nexus 7?! Is my question not valid enough for a community response?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Another thread closed.
The 'best' kernel/ROM is something you have to decide for yourself, there really is no right and wrong answer just which ever you feel works best for you.
This is why we strongly discourage this kind of thread.
We also do not like users that post multiple threads on the same topic, it clogs up the forums with pointless content.
Thank you
