Sure there's plenty more games that do the same. I'm not a gamer myself, and my oldest has my old SGS for her games, but the kiddy-game market is growing. Apologies for my 11-post jibe, it was unnecessary.

Well, let's see... on three occasions that I fornicated with my wife, three offspring came out nine months later. I was there during all three of said occasions, and delivered the middle offspring (the gamer) myself.

However, I'm right and you're all wrong. All these lavasoft games - Restaurant/Farm/Zoo Story really do drain battery quickly. A combo of wifi, bright colours and eager progeny is hardly conducive to prolonged battery life. They certainly drain it quicker than my boy's other games (e.g., Cut The Rope, Angry Birds).

I don't let them surf the net alone, under any circumstances. My middle kid is 7, and he's not getting a mobile before he's 10 (there's 6 year olds where I live tooled up with mobiles, which is ridiculous).
Any online games he plays are on my phone, always with me present, and no invites/social interaction without me vetting first. He has a DS and a Wii, and I don't allow online play with them.
Sad but true - as a parent you can't be too careful.

Yes, especially regarding internet. Too bad there's zero parential control in Android. I remember a father reporting, that his kid used in-game market to waiste 99$
A few weeks ago I saw a less than 10 year old girl in a bus with a Galaxy ... some parents don't seem to know, what they are doing.

So, I dropped my phone and cracked the screen, and have sent it off for repair.
Am amazed at how anxious I feel without it, it almost hurts. A dull ache in the chest...
I use my phone for meeting planning, music, video, books, pretty much everything, even the phone sometimes... and without it.. I just feel so sad..
Had to break out the old SE960i. I turned it on it's side and the display stayed in portrait... and the screen is so small.... and there is nowhere to put my SD card... and I can't flash a new rom... I could go on....
Anyway, thanks for listening, just had to get that off my chest....

I didn't have it quite that bad when I was stuck with a Moto Dext for a loaner for a month due to the i9000m SD card issue.
It was android (1.5) and the screen still auto-rotated, but it was so dull and small compared to the SGS. Browsing was horribly slow.

Just reading the comment about it being lightweight - from my use of the old ipad in the store afyer a while it began to get quite heavy (thats partly why i got the tab) i doubt with the ipad 2 apple have made it dramaricaly lighter (doubt it). either that or i have feeble arms (not the case)
and re it being small - i doubt it will fit in a pocket unlike the tab (thats what samsung claim and it will fit in my jenes pocket)
and re it being fast? Its 1.8ghz in total whilst the xoom is 2ghz so the xooms faster.

I think we came to the conclusion in irc that the average age of epic users here is 17, while the mental age is more like 14.
I never would have thought that myself, at 23, am actually on the older side of members (not that 23 is old. Or 36 for that matter)

I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder.
