I have xperia x8 2.1.1 Model : E15i
unfortunately unrooted and i want to install a new rom
My Question is what is the most stable rom
note : i bought the phone 2 days ago
so i dont know anything about android

im using Mini CM RC1 and its really great
floyo 0.15 is great too
Minicm rc1. I think its great especially with one finger pinch zoom and overclock modules, and now there's a video camera fix its awesome best rom in my opinion for x8.

im using miniCM since 2 days and there is a big deifference in using expirience than stock 2.1, fast, app2sd all apps and games i use are working fine and i didnt get a battery drain issue like in stock 2.1 - 29h and 72% now! in stock i can use my phone about 2 day max sometimes only one day without using. im waiting for full functionally 2.3 form J or racht. im think that any rom is better than this SE ****.will never back to stock Yo!

minicm rc1 is good, but dont update the cpu speed to 710.my touchscreen become crazy (run it self) even i am not touch my phone. for my case
Im using mini cm rc 1 with oc 729mhz and it works fine

i got lagging problem in message app using elelinux 3 rom..
it keep refreshing when i open it and it takes time for me to view my conversation thread...got almost four thousand message...is this normal? or it just me?

First you must root your phone..

Ahmed , the only thing that will bug you in using MiniCM or Floyo is Arabic language support , in the browser Arabic letters are separated and from left to right
I found this after trying Flashed Mini CM and floyo

racht's floyo FTW. imho way better than CMmini, the overall performance is better, especially in games (both 2d&3d) where it's much smoother. plus, it has better theme (ye, i know you can change a theme, but in floyo you just get good one at start), and it's more stable for me.
the only bad thing about floyo is i can't install overclock module on it, i always get a bootloop. but i don't care about OC that much, since it doesn't improve the performance that much, even if benchmarks are showing some great improvement.
+1 to racht's Floyo v.15 in its speed and performance!
but not too stable (for me) also it drains battery a bit faster
in the case of MiniCM its good, couple of reboots (common bug) and feels like 95% complete.
now, the battle in 2.2 is between miniCM and floyo,
(wishing there will be more updates for floyo)

Dude! Again! FreeXperia is not a ROM. It's a team of devs who are working on different phones such as X10/mini, Arc, X8 and PLAY. Those devs are Z, B, J, G, Blagus, nobodyAtall and defer. The ROM you are talking about is just Jerpeleas ROM.
Thats what he meant.. FXP vs gingerDX. I think he didn't put a version cos both are being updated fast.
And an another thing:
J's rom is intended for development
In other words, he compiles libs for our phones instead of using SE ones.

Yeap. Not at all easy. I'd personally like to know which is faster but then again that also depends on the user. Both have so much potential..
DX has maby some trable.New version GingerDX 003 has bug with GPS.I tried now.It´s wrong.

GingerDX is faster, but FreeXperia is slower and not for fast daily use. FXP is just matter of time when it will be fastest ROM on Xperia X8 !
Pls try Froyobread v22b.
It is very stable to you. Fast and no lag after 2 days.
I used v23b after 1 day and it lags a lot. fall back to v22b and wait for v24

Haven't tried FreeXperia so cant really comment on that..
Been running GingerDx since release day, Running really smooth and fast had no real issues except for camera but not a real problem for me!!!
Dont plan on trying any other at the moment.

probably gingerxperia. gingercruzt 7.4 is nice too, it has timescape. but im using froyobread now. imo it's the most stable ROM out there.

I'm using GingerDX and i'm not having problem with the accelerometer.
I just don't know where is the DSP manager app on v013 and I don't know how can i sync my contacts from syncML of Sony ericsson

this is true guys! i used gingerdx for quite a while and ive just installed gingerxperia and its MUCH faster! only thing is if you want dual touch you have to install it manually unlike gingerdx because it comes precompiled in the rom. But overclock doesnt work in dx but in gingerxperia it does!
Then maybe you would like to try Xperia 8 ginger roms, It's a mix of GingerDX, GingerXperia, openroms from htc_woldfire and stock eclair, I tried before, Kuya, minicm, froyobread, ginger xperia and several others, and, I've been using this one for some days now and just love it, fast, besides I never thought i would enjoy the 7 launcher so much!!, really, just give it a try.

agree with you, I also using GC 7.4 and Xgin 5.3 before this~ lite and fast~ got OC~

well even custom roms hav reached a certain level of stability,froyo roms are gud wen its abt stability and daily use
hated wen i was on stock 2.1
i don`t no all of them have some stick some time i don` no what is the best and realy stalble for use if the rom not stable for use why i flash my phone for it we want some thing practical and fun

I've used a few different roms and I must admit I prefer Prime but as with anything and as lucastan96 says the only real way to find out is to download both and see which you prefer.
Each rom is developed for different purposes, you should try both and see which best fits you.

Now that's kinda disrespectful my friend. I'm sure current GDX Devs are doing their best to improve their ROM, so please, appreciate their work and respect them. Besides, I find your opinion about GingerDX very subjective. I didn't really experience many lags nor battery drain in this ROM.
