hello,
Is it possible to listen to mp3 through the Bluetooth headset?
Not with the current bluetooth software as it stands, however this will change (hopefully) when the new rom is released with the updated bluetooth.
I managed to get MP3s to play through my HBH65 bluetooth headset from my mate's iPaq 2210, but the quality was awful. It was the same trying audio from my PC through the headset (with my sound-enabled bluetooth dongle).
In the long term, it may be possible with the XDA2, but you won't want to do it.
if audio over bluetooth's quality is aimed at the quality of a normal phone it will always be mono and sampled at 3khz or something like that music will never be that nice at such a low rate
of cause i have come across stereo bluetooth headsets which i suppose is strange
stereo bt
There was a stereo bt at CES, only POC but showed promise. I believe they muxing and demuxing at the headset. Obviously needs special drivers, and the hardware at the earpiece is in a dongle, with two ear pieces. Maybe if Apple and Archos take it up it will become available.

I don't need very good quality for MP3.
Thanks

I want to know too.
Thanks~~
When I did it, it was on an Ipaq 2210, not the XDA2, so I'm sure the same technique won't apply since the 2210 uses the Widcomm Bluetooth stack. I had to install a new DLL over an old one on the machine and change a load of registry settings.
I found everything I needed on Google, although I can't recall where exactly.
Do you still want to know?
Yes, I do.
I am not very familiar to use keyword searching on Google.
Instead, i just type a sentence, and normal i cant find what i want..lol
Still looking...
Searched several strings on this, but still looks like no way to play audio (other than phone) to bluetooth headset. I have an XDA II with what appears to be the latest ROM (1.66.00)
As to why, I'm not looking for music MP3, but rather I listen to lots of audiobooks from audible.com. Doesn't seem to make any sense to have to change headsets, bluetooth one for phone and wired one for all other audio!
Whoever finds the solution, please post it here!
Well, several years have passed ...
Any one have an answer for this one ? ( How to play mp3 audio located on the XDA II device thrue a bluetooth headset ... )

Does someone have any idea what happens
Add some more:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/BitPool - from 30 change to 48
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/MaxSupportedBitPool - from 30 change to 58
Thank you, .... sound is much better now .... just now, I am missing the naviplay where the trebles where much better than with itech R35 or S38, I have at the moment....

thanks...it's more stereo now but now i'm experiencing"hissing"sound which never
before. can i adjust it to any other value? is there any combination i should follow?
thanks..
I found that "hissing" is dependant on the headset used.
My plantronics have almost no hiss, while my cheap i-tech things have lots.
Anybody else have the option to compare different headsets?

I use Samsung H200 for Handsfree - it has a sligt his when it initially connects which disappears as soon as the call is connected.
My Plantronics 590 headset has no hiss and sound absolutely clear and crisp.
Maybe the right placeereo head set and I paired it with my 7500 as a stereo head set
I posted this thread somewhere else, but it seems to me that people here understand the kind of problem I have

And your problem is?
Oooooooops...
I didn't realize the whole message was missing,it is like when the celular line fails and you keep on talking...
Well so I have this magnificient Motorola headset S9 and I sucessfully paired it as a Hanfree and a Stereo headset
Everything is working perfect, except the fact that when I activate the voice tag (which usually with oter BT headset works perfectly) I cannot hear the beep telling me to say the voice tag and also I cant hear the confirmation (that the PDA understood what I said)
The voice tag DO work and if I am lucky it dials what I say but I can know only when someone pickup from the other side ....
when i dis-pair the stereo headset,it is working again.
I know it is not the most horrible problem reported in this forum, but if anyone can help....
How to play music via bluetooth device
I've got a set of Harman/kardon Soundstick II speakers and i wan't to play music wirelessly from my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000 series) onto it i.e I don't wanna plug the speakers directly into the laptop.
I bought the Sony HWSBTA2W Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver and have managed to connect/link it to my laptop. The problem is however, how do you get a music program such as Windows Media Player to play music via the Sony device. I have managed to play music from my Nokia 6600 phone through the device successfully but am unable to play music from my laptop. The Sony device appears as a bluetooth headset in my list of bluetooth devices, but does not appear as a speaker on my laptop.
And oh yes, my laptop is wireless and bluetooth enabled.
Or Is there another wireless dongle or bluetooth item of some kind that i can plug my speakers into and will stream the music down from my laptop.
bump n
Can anyone recommend something that already works well with HTC Touch/Pro?
Does Motorola S9 work with WM6 BT stack for stereo?
There are no good a2dp stereo headsets because the equalizer only works with wired headsets.. Htc: please fix this.
im using the sony stereo bluetooth headset hbh-ds980. works fine.. the volume for the music and for the phone calls are the same key but the headset keeps them programmed differently. so its nice. the onyl thing i saw that sucks is that it doesn't bring a clip to attach the receiver to your clothes.. so if you doing a lot of moving then its going to fly up and what not.. so thats annoying.. i took the clip from the standard HTC headphones that came with the phone and put it on the bluetooth and just slightly attach it to my shirt.
I'm using a Motorola S9 and it works perfectly. No problems at all, all buttons do work. Sound quality is very good!
One more vote for hbh-ds980. Been using it with polaris, diamond and HD. The music quality is quite good and functionality including addressbook and last calls access works fine.
The Motorola s9 HD's are out and the seem to have improved quite a bit. I personally have the regular s9's and they work great.
oh yea.. sry forgot to add.. haha. you can go into the recent calls list and into the phone book quite easily.. and have multiple devices hooked up at one time and get calls from them all..
the only problem is that i get the phone number instead of the persons name when they are claling me.. does anyone know why? the names show up when in the phonebook and everything..
Ok so not bluetooth but i use my sennheiser PXC 450, noise reduction...cant imagine better sound on the move
Sony DR-BT21G
I found an equalizer that works. The internal one in coreplayer.. Now nokia bh-903 bluetooth headset have bass and nice sound.
Hello all,
I see that a question similar to this has been posted a few months ago, but no replies on that thread. So, here we go again
Basically all I need is for my Android to act as a bluetooth (stereo)headset (receiving audio).
The setup is I have a TV which can stream sound to a bluetooth headset. I havent got a bluetooth-headset but maybe I can use my Android phone with a wired headset and the phone acting as a bluetooth headset seen by my TV.
The goal: My girlfriend is hearing impaired and it would be a huge aid for her to be able to use a headset when watching TV-programs that hasnt got captions.
Also, streaming sound from my MythTV-box (with bluetooth) would make it possible to watch videos with sound without disturbing other people in the livingroom.
Is this somehow possible ? and if yes, might there already be an app out there ?
I've searched for hours but it gets a bit messy because about 95% of search results points to solutions for pairing an Android with a real bluetooth-headset and most of the time Android being the "server"-part of the bluetooth-connection. I need it to be a "client" ("sink" ?).
Im sorry this isn't an answer to you question. If she wears hearing aids i would look into a device like this for her.
Icom from Phonak. This device interfaces with anything bluetooth and connects to hearing aids. This made a huge difference in my bosses quality of life. He is able to interface it with His TV,Radio and his cellphone.
This is much more useful that just an ordinary blue tooth earphones.
Also i believe the bluetooth stacks that are in cell phones where never created for audio input. So something like you where asking wouldn't be possible as far as i know.
Thanks for your response. You're right about a proper hearing aid, its possible to get some with bluetooth-support (Oticon I think).
Just to wrap it up, while googling I also found some hints about the bluetooth stack being "limited" in Android and also some talk about hardware-capabilities (which would probably explain the limits of the bluetooth api in Android).
Most of what I found were from 2009 and '08, so I was hoping that bluetooth-possibilities might have expanded in the newer "delicious pastry"-releases from Google. Maybe its possible to port it from some Linux-source and build a ROM (?) But Im in way over my head with such projects.
I just received my gv18 smartwatch and other than struggling with the on screen keyboard I'm liking it so far although the vibrate is very weak. Could someone tell me how I could use this with a bluetooth headset as at the moment when connected to my smartphone all audio comes through the watch. I hope this is possible as being able to use a bluetooth headset is one of the main reasons I got this but if I cant control the phones music to play by bluetooth or connect watch to headset I might have to sell it. EDIT I have worked out how to do this it has to be done in the google music app but question remains how do I connect the watch to bluetooth headset? Lastly I don't need Nfc so is it possible that a 22mm straight end strap will fit?
Watch straps are changeable and I can confirm that there does not seem to be a way of connecting bluetooth headset to the watch
Ive managed to get my watch to find headphones but pairing fails
