So this is my first thread and I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this topic.
Basically the title says it all.
FYI:
running darkstone's FroyoStone v2
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747492
unmounting the SD card before attempting to install
un-installing Google Maps 4.4 before attempting to install using Titanium Backup and still no luck
What I'd like to know is if there is a work-around and if not at least a reason why it's unable to install.
I second this
I also have this problem and just wanted to ring in, I suppose we could just try a different build.

Do you know if it's just FroyoStone related though, or just any hd2 android build
Conflikt Icey,
If you had read the thread or at least did a search for maps in Darkstone's ROM thread you would have found this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8096500&postcount=3117
It worked for anyone that tested it, so I suppose it will work for you too...
I had problems installing on HyperDroid 1.2 and, at some point in time, it installed behind my back.

Tried it, didn't work for me. The directory structure was different to that.
Anyone got any further suggestions? I can't be the only one with this problem surely as I am using FroyoStone V2 which seems to be pretty popular.
I couldn't install it with HyperDroid 1.2 but now with Bangsters 1.3 it worked without a problem. You just have to do the installation manually.

Yeah I just tried Bangsters build too and it installed without any issues. So I guess it's build related

Just go to the market, select Maps and then update. It's relatively straight-forward

Hi all! I created this thread because my PM inbox is flooted with questions and reported bugs in our (GM) ROM! so if you cant post on dev-section use this instead of PM'ing to me ;-) you can also report your problems here if you have over 10 posts so ask questions, report problems and enjoy our POX!
Partitions and some bug
I am on pox 1.0 non oc. Has tested 1.o beta OC., had too much battery drain so preffering non oc. Now want to upgrade to 1.1 non oc. Can you post some clarity about partitions. I have ext4 and swap partition on my SD card. Changelog for 1.1 says ext2 support for cache, so do I need ext2 partition, if yes what size. Moreover please confirm Email clint on 1.1 b'coz didnt find any in 1.0. Also please check that the times tends to reset (to GMT) in 1.0 on restart if automatic updating from serbvice provider is unchecked.

Hallo,
i´ve a problem with the market on this rom. When i flashed this rom everything was fine. But after one day of use, my market dont want to download anymore apps. The market shows download will be starting but nothig happens. I have this problem with 6.0 and 6.1 and only a fresh installation of the rom with wipe of everything solves this problem.
does anybody have the same problem or a sollution?
New thread on listing the apps which are not compatible or just FC
Assumption: Everyone has done a full wipe as per Overcome instructions.
Your build must be from stock rom as instructed from Overcome team.
Then comparisons can be made...

Winamp

Getting a lot of FCs on 4.0.0
What are other users of 4.0.0 finding ?
Any ideas how to fix/patch or work arounds.
I have just degraded from 2.3.5 to 2.3.3 Overcome 7 v4.0.0 rom and kernel and is working fine with most of the apps.
I followed the steps on this site as a guide:
< http://www.moniroth.com/mobile/android/how-to-install-overcome-rom-on-galaxy-tab-p1000.mh>, but download the stock rom and overcome 7 v4 rom from:
< http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317384>, as the p1000.overcometeam.com site seem to be down.
I used the wipe version, and reinstalled back all my previous apps one by one and all are working fine.

Maybe you wana try fixing permissions at the recovery menu, I was told that would resolve most of the FCs issue.

Fix Android Market "Not compatible with your device"

Hate to bump an older thread but have a fix for the market. This is not related to the FC issues mentioned in the OP but the Android market may not like your DPI setting if you changed it. I had this issue with Adobe Flash and Where's my Water. To download apps that "are not compatible with your device" just edit your build.prop:
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
After you reboot, clear the market data and cache and you will be able to download your app. You can change your DPI back once your app is downloaded. I've had to do this on my G2 and the Tab.
Kind Regards,
Kevin

Agreed. I haven't found any app incompatible with OC 4.0 or now 4.1.
Although I have no idea how to edit that file (n00b) ....I use LCD Resolution app to the same thing (I think).
try the new update 4.1.0
I would suggest to use Overcome 4.1.0 too. After installing the ROM just apply the Old Market Patch from OC 4.0.0.
It works well for me without any problems with downloading apps. The newer markets are much more restrictive.
works for me that way, too. Thanks!
On overcome 4.0 i had problems with the market. After installing 4.1 nowipe zip everything works perfectly

Nothing to do with the ROM. When you install 4.1.0 (or 4.0.0) it resets whatever you had back to 240. And market works.
LMFAO
I knew it. So none of you have changed DPI *after* installing OC 4.1 and *not* had the market issue.
Therefore the original comments still stand.
Jeez.

After 4.1.0 update installation my native browser is too slow and I lost smoothness on scrolling. Otherwise, all other apps (interface, menus, options, etc) are bettert and much more smooth.
Does anyone else check this problem? I prefer smothness on all system, include browser ^^

Why dont you install a new, better browser; both Dolphin Browser and Opera Mobile are pretty good.

Yes, I know all of these browsers, but in Overcome 4.0.0 the native browser is excelent on smoth scrolling, best ever I seen in Android...
I'll try to Wipe and made a fresh installation of 4.1.0 to check if there is really a problem.
Thks.
I'm running Overcome 3.0.1 Jupiter and am trying to wipe to 4.1.0 but I cant unzip the recovery file GB-Stock_Safe-V5. none of the zip apps I'v tried work.
Anybody know what is wrong. I've downloaded that file several times but always from the same source TeamOvercome
Hey Guys,
I have worked on fixing certain issues with Shenqi V4.1,Like calendar and few other. I think its a very stable ROM, have been using it for over 3 weeks. I would like to post it for you. I am no developer/Hack expert, just a curious noob. I fixed very few issues and the ROM is pretty good. Thanks a lot for Shenqi to the original developer Yicong Huang and also mchlbenner for constantly trying to provide us with the best.
Features
1)Camera and Video (native)
2)Sensors and compass
3) FM
5) Everything that the phone supports.
Drawbacks
1)Lacks proper memory management (only when you open too many apps), could be over clocked to 1Ghz though for better performance.
2)No keyboard included. Please keep a keyboard app handy.
3)No link2sd
Instructions:
1) Create a folder called nandroid on SD-card and put it inside. If you already do just copy the downloaded files inside.
2) 3 Wipes before and after.

Yes, I've experienced the same problem with link2sd, please try over clocking to 1Ghz. This ROM is really fast then.
