Hi all! I created this thread because my PM inbox is flooted with questions and reported bugs in our (GM) ROM! so if you cant post on dev-section use this instead of PM'ing to me ;-) you can also report your problems here if you have over 10 posts so ask questions, report problems and enjoy our POX!
Partitions and some bug
I am on pox 1.0 non oc. Has tested 1.o beta OC., had too much battery drain so preffering non oc. Now want to upgrade to 1.1 non oc. Can you post some clarity about partitions. I have ext4 and swap partition on my SD card. Changelog for 1.1 says ext2 support for cache, so do I need ext2 partition, if yes what size. Moreover please confirm Email clint on 1.1 b'coz didnt find any in 1.0. Also please check that the times tends to reset (to GMT) in 1.0 on restart if automatic updating from serbvice provider is unchecked.

Hii
I had androidify runnning on my clean JPF with lagfix+data2sd.
I flashed the rom again because of the laggy phone and now i find that androidify force closes. Currently I am using Lestatious v1.2
All kind of this problems are usually because you have to wipe data before flashing new rom.(Only exception is when you are doing minor updates of few roms). So please try it ;-)

Dude, thats the inherent problem with lagfix and data2sd, you need to repeat it to your new ROM each time, unless like already mentioned above, its just a minor upgrade along the same custom ROM path... Please backup your card and apps first, and then flash JPF, then Flash Lestat v1.2 in one package.... Then u can apply your lagfix & data2sd fixes...!! Hope this works !!
I've never really seen the point of lagfix, don't you lose phone memory because of it?

Actually I know that lagfix+data2sd has to be repeated to each rom. That's kinda silly and anybody even noobs know that it has to reapplied to every new rom you flash..

I m using Floyo 2.2.1 rom but the native apps2sd aint working,

DO i need to partition SD card for using apps2sd?
If yes,then how?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
was using stock 2.1 with native app2sd. just tried using miniCM beta2 2.2, app2sd auto updated the wares i have. so far no issue other than needing to reinstall some certain apps using titanium back up. using ext2 paritition.

There's no native app2sd on stock rom. It's 2.2 and up. Ref: http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.2.html#api
You was using a hack that linked /data/app to an ext partition on your sdcard.

no, it should be fine from any rom. in terms of perfomance this rom is lightning fast. its barebones so its not got anything slowing it down. but thats at the expences of features, no youtube, spare parts and stuff like that. just really basic. music, gallery, mms, browser and things like that are included. all standard phone apps, but no extras. its a base to build on but works fine as a day to day rom.
just a question, is there google talk? Without it android market doesn't work isn't it?
umm .. wont not having tweaks slow the phone down ..?
It is safe to flash directly to this rom if my existing rom is Behrad's CM7?

i made a mistake
gps does work on other roms i tried (aokp 4.0.4 asis by ??? (dev swift), swiftdroid 2.0 asis by mur4ik), but bluetooth calls NEVER worked. the other person on phone hears me, but i hear nothing (as i said: music works) this is not a problem of the headset, because it works well on my laptop and other phones.
will give the other roms a try, a little bit sad, the openswift was the best rom i ever tried but i need GPS!
never had a so fast rom and so much space for system and ram
maybe it depends on my swap? never had it till this rom
a question about swap: more = better? have 1gb swap now (highest in recovery i think)
do i have to make a new swap when i change rom?

Swap is like virtual ram it push proceses that you dont use on swap part and frees up the ram
1 gb is more than enough

1 GB is wasting SD memory
i an currently using 64 MB because my system usually needs around 20-40 MB Swap
only games like GTA 3 need so much memory, but you won't be albe to play these games smooth.
many people complain about BT headsets, most ROMs have problems. you should try some older releases, some of them have it working
(i think about SDSL 1.1 , maybe it'll work)
http://depositfiles.com/files/kf1ehfxkm (SDSL 1.1)
if it doesn't work try some other ROMs (maybe devswift's oxygen, some froyo ROMs etc. )
good luck

Hey Guys,
I have worked on fixing certain issues with Shenqi V4.1,Like calendar and few other. I think its a very stable ROM, have been using it for over 3 weeks. I would like to post it for you. I am no developer/Hack expert, just a curious noob. I fixed very few issues and the ROM is pretty good. Thanks a lot for Shenqi to the original developer Yicong Huang and also mchlbenner for constantly trying to provide us with the best.
Features
1)Camera and Video (native)
2)Sensors and compass
3) FM
5) Everything that the phone supports.
Drawbacks
1)Lacks proper memory management (only when you open too many apps), could be over clocked to 1Ghz though for better performance.
2)No keyboard included. Please keep a keyboard app handy.
3)No link2sd
Instructions:
1) Create a folder called nandroid on SD-card and put it inside. If you already do just copy the downloaded files inside.
2) 3 Wipes before and after.

Yes, I've experienced the same problem with link2sd, please try over clocking to 1Ghz. This ROM is really fast then.
