METRIC:
Dimensions: 12.2cm x 6.91cm x 0.94cm

Galaxy S I9000 Reference values:
Dimensions: 122.4 mm (4.82 in) x 64.2 mm (2.53 in) x 9.9–14 mm (0.39–0.55 in)
Weight: 119 g / 4.2 ounces
3" super amoled 720x480 is going to pretty sharp. Looks thin too where many 3" phones tend to be thick (like the galaxy 'family' models, they are 12mm where this is closer to 9 like the gs2).
I wonder if this is why we're seeing crazy deals on the samsung galaxy 'family' series (gio, ace, mini, fit, the gio was $70 here mtm at zellers). They are powered by 600-800 MHz qualcomm, have 320x240 tft screens and only 2GB internal memory. This 'galaxy q' with 720x480 samoled, 1 ghz hummingbird and 16GB (basically an sgs hit with a shrink ray) is a huge upgrade in this form factor no wonder they want to clear out old stock.

Nah screw that, I'm sick of tinier font resolution on my phone. Almost already about to throw my Atrix and it's whack *ss Qhd out the window!
Android needs a way to make icons/text bigger on ICS at the earliest before we all get stuck with phones that we have to read our text messages that look like this.
And no making the density larger on build.prop is too ghetto to be a realistic fix...

Here's the discussion of phones...
Meanwhile, in phones, the GT-I9250 is probably the most exciting. It’s said to have a 4.65-inch 1280 x 720 resolution display and a 5-megapixel camera, and run Ice Cream Sandwich on an unspecified processor which, we’re guessing, will be a dual-core. Its sibling, the GT-I9220, is even bigger, with a MID-rivaling 5.29-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED Plus panel, a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, 8-megapixel camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The rumored 1.4GHz GT-I9200 upgrade to the Galaxy S II isn’t mentioned, but the I9210 gets a look-in, with a 4.5-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen, 4G connectivity and an 8-megapixel camera. There’s also supposedly WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Full HD video recording support and a 1750 mAh battery, all in an Android-running 128g package.
The description of the 4.5" phone could be the Celox that was leaked a few days ago. I guess big is in.

Quality of 7.7 is much higher than 7+ with plastic cover..
If you are not a tech freak like me then you can sure buy the 7+ tab without doubt it will does your job too

my understanding is,
7.0 uses Qualcomm's chipset, 7.7 use E4210, I think the performance of E4210 is better than Qualcomm's.
I have a 7.7 and I feel the experience is also better than P7510 (tab 10.1).
So I recommend the 7.7

7+ is using same 7.7 cpu e4210 ,samsung just make it slower for 7+ for cheaper level,so that make 7.7 more " high class "
I think it is easier to just compare screen as other specs are almost identical.
If you want AMOLED+ go 7.7
If not go 7.0+
I just played around with the 7+ at Fry's.
There's really no comparison. The 7.7's screen puts the 7+ to shame.
I have both and the 7.7 is in a totally different league. The screen difference is enough for me to never use the 7plus. Many apps work much better on the 7.7 like Photoshop or BBC news app, the build is much better on the 7.7, better battery, lighter. Easy decision in my opinion..

just pulled the trigger yesterday, seems like i made the right choice
So, I have an Omnia 7 and am really happy with it, I think it's a great phone with a great operating system, even if it is a phone that was launched in 2010, I think it is still modern and up to date.
Now, I bought a Nokia N9 and really liked the display and finishing materials so
I started thinking what could be if WP had it, then imagine what could
be Lumia 800...
Well, comparing both phones i check that:
3G Network Frequencies:
Lumia 800: HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
Omnia 7: HSDPA 900 / 2100
Dimensions and Weight:
Lumia 800: 116.5 x 61.2 x 12.1 mm, 76.1 cc 142g
Omnia 7: 122.4 x 64.2 x 11 mm 138g
Display:
Lumia 800: AMOLED 16M colors 480 x 800 pixels, 3.7 inches (~252 ppi pixel density)
Omnia 7: Super AMOLED 16M colors 480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches (~233 ppi pixel density)
Camera:
Lumia 800: 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash
Omnia 7: 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash
Chipset, CPU and GPU:
Lumia 800: Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon 1.4 GHz Scorpion Adreno 205
Omnia 7: Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz Scorpion Adreno 200
Battery:
Lumia 800: Standard battery, Li-Ion 1450 mAh (BV-5JW)
Omnia 7: Standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh
Well, i got this results and what i think that:
Lumia 800 wins in 3G network, camera and Chipset,CPU and GPU
Omnia 7 wins in display and battery
What u thinks guys? Does it worth changing? If anynone could help me with good facts, i really appreciate.
Thanks!
I have had an Omnia 7 since November 2010 - It's been great but I've had terrible network troubles since the Mango update.
I'm now due an upgrade and I think I will be going for the Lumia 800.
I was going to wait for the 900 but I really don't think I'd want anything bigger than the Omnia 7 which is already borderline in terms of size for me. The 800 is gorgeous in person and feels great in the hand. Plus Nokia seem to actually care about their users.

That's obviously a matter of personal preference and hand size.
I, for example, find 4.3 the ideal screen size, and some additional bulk does not bother me. Also, 900 does not use pentile, which is a big plus for me, since i read a lot on the phone.

Well, it's not really THAT bad, but the text DOES look noticeably clearer on the RGB screen when you compare side by side.

Nokia Apps
I have omnia 7, too, and its great. I love the amoled display with its great colors, and that is the big difference entering the nokia and the samsung.
But Nokia provides some special apps like maps, drive and (new) public transport.
This might be an advantage if you dont plan to flash or unlock ur device...

Sorry @d.a.v.o.r , i meant to say super amoled, wich is Standing against a amoled Display in the Nokia lumia 800
Sent from my OMNIA7 using Board Express
the word upgrade for me should be if you buy a lumia 900 or htc titan
i don't even consider omnia W
I've just upgraded from Omnia 7 to Lumia 800.. the 3g issue finally got to me & then Samsung said 3 weeks to fix.. so purelygadgets had one at £340 (their service is great BTW & a UK spec as well).
The Lumia is a great upgrade I think..
Improvements:
the call quality is noticeably superior
Performance (90 vs 60 on WPBench);
the battery lasts 50-100% longer;
music (over BT at least)
Build quality
Camera - especially w/flash..
Nokia apps - Nokia Drive & Creative Studio especially.
Disadvantages
No Removable battery - sufficiently worried to go & buy an auxillary battery from Amazon for £20.
The screen is pretty equal - the better black of the Lumia vs the slightly bigger Sammy.
I have none of the reported issues - loose keys , poor battery poor Bass; perhaps that's because it's been out 6 months & they've sorted out the issues.
lastly its' obvious Nokia is much more committed to WP7 & phones in general - so will keep the phone updated with new features as they roll out..
This may or may not get merged with the other thread.
But given how the other thread is mostly rumors or wishlists, I thought it'd be nice to have a 'real' thread.

I can't find any official confirmation of an LED notification light on the Note 2.

But pretty pricey too - note that they're keeping the Nexus 5 on sale
Seems it's Nexus 6 all along - wonder if there was any deal made with Philip K ****'s estate?
Anyway, these devices look triffic - check the battery on the Nexus 6 - Outstanding!
It's apparently gonna cost $649. I'll pass and get the N9 + N5

I also wanted the nexus 6 but my money does not allow me to ? so for me nexus 9!
Finally
I waited so long for this been rocking this galxy s3 all year waiting for the nexus 6.. I cant wait to have it in my hands...
Nexus 6 is pretty much heavy at 180g when Nexus 5 is 130g. Motorola Phones are usually heavy. For instance, Moto E is around 150g when it is a 4.3" device. I like the build quality of motorola phones though since the motorola L6.

AMOLED. That's a shame. So will burn eventually if I use it in a car for GPS (static screen elements, high brightness, high temperatures)
Specs directly from MOTO's site.
Qi wireless charging enabled! I wasn't excited about a 6 inch phone, but they've got some if the things I've been looking for, battery life (potentially) & Qi wireless charging. Plus the phone can be purchased directly from MOTO.

Nope, it's 32-bit since it uses Snapdragon 805. I would not worry about it though, it is a beastly SoC
It says the phone is water resistant
what is the difference between buying from play store and moto webiste?
Surprisingly no. The 805 is 32 bit. However, there's no apps that will take advantage of 64 bit in the mobile world. I expect that to change, but not for a while.
This is gonna be the best smartphone of the year
