Go back to stock root - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I have a stupid ques but I thought I would ask anyway. I made a rom backup after rooting. I flashed the latest starburst but not digging touchwiz so much, can I just restore that backup to go back to where I was before I flashed starburst?
Thanks!

Went back thankfully, touch wiz is horrible! Stock honeycomb is much smoother with adw

You can download it from HTC developers site.
Maybe next time you can post in an existing thread like the Liberated thread seeing you are running liberated? There are stickies here too with the answer to your question.
Thanks, and I'll make sure to do that next time

you could check the wiki too
You can also download the HTC 2.1 update and install it. You would have the most recent OEM ROM.

How can I get my phone back to stock?

I'm currently on the Sense Rom but my nandroid backup got erased after I flashed it. Is there anyway to flash the stock rom back?
Couldn't you grab the Stock ROM that is floating around in the Dev section and flash it using ROM Manager?

I found a topic from when the Vision rom first got loaded. I'm flashing it via Hboot right now so it should work fine.
Question - How come when I flashed the sense rom my phone deleted the nandroid backup I had from when the phone was stock?
Edit: Yeah it worked.

Rom Manager Premium

Asked this question before but nobody answered. When using Rom Manager Premium and doing a "backup of current rom", am I to do this, then try another rom and if I do not like the new rom, do a restore backup and everything will come back just as if I had not tried the new rom at all? I mean everything. I use titanium backup pro, but it's still such a pain in the A to get everything back up and running again. I am running Trigger 3.3 beta right now and really am liking this rom and have it pretty much set up just as I want it now. Cannot see how another rom can be as good as this one, but it would be nice to try them out, and come right back when I need to without the hassles. Thanks.
So ur question is? Should u use restore backup on rom manager premium.. I do

No. My question is, can rom manager premium put everything back like it was using restore, after a rom is wiped to try a new one, without even messing with the hassles of using titanium bacup pro.

Yes, with the exception of your kernel. It cannot restore that.

Im glad someone asked this question! I thought the same thing which is why I stayed with trigger, but 1 question what if I have trigger 3.0.1 and want to try a GB rom then come back is it possible with rom manager?

gingerbread and froyo are two different monsters! so no u couldnt but any froyo rom u can!
Well, you can get it back, it's just more work, but getting to GB is more work anyway right?
Couldn't you Odin a froyo stock rom with kernal/modem, then flash the custom froyo rom again, download rom manager, put the RM backup you kept on your computer into the RM folder and then restore the previous settings?
I'm interested to hear if others have done this. I want to try a GB rom, but I like to move around a lot and Froyo roms seem like the way to go if you have an itchy flashing finger.

[Q] how to upgrade sense?

I have the STOCKED rom and still have sense 1.0 on my evo.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238959
How can i upgrade my sense version to 2.1 or 3.0 or above?
please help - i do not want to wipe any data if i can avoid it
If you're rooted then here's a 2.1 with some 3.0 features. I personally use it and its phenomenal.
If you aren't rooted though..you cannot update your sense software without buying a new device. That's why many people root in order to take control of their phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038967
Here's a full 3.0 ROM. Try them out.. FULL WIPE is required in order to flash both of them. Use titanium backup to save your data. It's a lame process but whatever its worth it.

You will have to flash a custom ROM. Are you rooted? Because you will have to be rooted and have a custom recovery. Then you can flash a custom ROM with the newer Sense versions.
You can retain apps and data with Titanium Backup

Root then you can go all the way to 3.5 if you wanna .. which to me is the smoothest running of the sence roms 3.0 does not really like our evos LOL

Can I do a restore when on a custom Rom?

Ok I can't find anything to answer this question. Therefore I am asking, because I just don't believe this has been asked be4. I am running Revolution HD 6.3.1. My phone(HTC INSPIRE 4G) sometimes just slows down to a halt. It started about a week ago. I have uninstalled a good many apps, and cleared plenty of space. Prior to rooting, and flashing I had this problem and restoring to factory setting fixed this. Ok now that I've explained that, the Rom(as stated above) I'm on has the option to do this. I want to know if I do this if it will "restore back to just flashed condition" although it says factory condition, but Is a flashed ROM. Will it just simply put, brick my device, or reinstall the Rom as if I had just flashed it. Thanks ahead of time.

Ir you factory reset the phone you will get stuck in the splash screen. If you want to go back to stock, the restore a backup from CWM or flash a stock Rom from CWM. Factory reset does not work in custom roms...

Thanks for that response. I'm not interested in stock at all. I just wanted to know if it would work. Root and flashed Roms are always smoother, even if some of them have bumps. Truthfully I'm waiting on a RC Rom from Existz, as I just want a stock android experience

In CWM wipe data and cache and it should be some sort of factory reset.
