I'll be saying goodbye to this community as my primary "lurking" grounds on XDA. I decided to switch to T-Mobile and have upgraded to the T-Mobile G2X (LG). Thanks for the great support to this community! My Aria was a better phone because of the hardwork of our developers. Thank you!
I'll drop by here and there and keep my little friend up to date. ATT gave me the unlock code so I can use it on T-Mobile.

T-Mobile was offering a web special on a free G2 for activating a new line. Even with Sprint's 2-year contract renewal, the Evo Shift 4G and Nexus S 4G cost $150 and $200, respectively. Also, 4.3" devices like the EVO 3D are of no interest to me. It was cheaper for me to cough up the early termination fee. My G2 should arrive on Monday.
Before I leave, I want to thank everyone who has positively contributed to my Android experience with the Hero. This development community continues to exceeded my expectations... I still find it hard to believe we're all content with running an Android with 1st generation hardware, and we have great devs to thank for that. Even after the legendary devs like toastcfh, nfinitefx45, and others have left, we have new great devs who filled in. And of course, thanks to all the regulars who keep this forum alive and provide a supportive environment (you know who you are). Although I'm not as talkative and dedicated as some of you, I just hope I've been able contribute my share of helping and support as well
you will be missed sir.. and i dont blame you thats a pretty good deal.. im too stuck on sprint to leave, they have been too good to me over the years.. but have often said that if i left i would go t-mo for some of their devices.. so God speed my friend, im sure we will see you floating around here somewhere..
A man it was a blast having you apart of the hero community. Thanks for all the knowledge and time you put into the hero forums. Take care and enjoy your new phone. Have a good one.

Thanks for the kind words everyone I'll probably still be checking up on the never ending progress that is aospCmod and the revived 2.6.35 kernel
Peace c00ller. Enjoy your new phone. It was fun
Cooller,
Thanks for the help that you have given to many. I, as many others I'm sure- and as you can see, appreciate what you have brought to the hero threads. I moved from Verizon to Sprint for the $ reason's as well and for me, it was a good move. I got my 1st android phone (our Hero's) and I found XDA. It has been a great experience (learning, fun, and a great way to kill some time) and you have been a part of making it so.
Good luck and happy flashing. I know that whatever phone you are using, you will still be apart of this great community on XDA and the jewels that are made and found here.
I think I feel a tear coming on. No, it was just gas.
Happy Flashing!
DP (I should have gone with DogPoop instead since I'm not drunk and not a pilot...today anyway).
Hello Regards from Indonesia,
I am (maybe) the first Atrix user in Indonesia as our local Motorola vendor did not have Atrix sell in the country.
Mine is AT&T and unlocked to be used by the local provider. Got it from my cousin in the USA
It is my first android phone, i got the laptop dock as well and i will rely on this setup to do my daily activities such as word processing, emailing, browsing, etc
looking forward tweaking together this phone with the great community here!!
I have just root it and now looking for a stable working gingerbread true ROM.
webtop mode is very crucial for me.
I will not hesitate to donate to any devs through paypal
Regards

Welcome to the xda community (from someone in the other part of the world ), I hope you enjoy your stay here. Please, read a lot and follow the rules. There is a sticky in the dev forums where you can find a lot of info.
Cheers,
I can't post in the dev forums yet, but I wanted to give the CDMA Hero devs a big shout out for all the work they put in to it. I just upgraded away from my Hero to a Evo Shift, but if it wasn't for the guys on the CM team and guys like jaybob I wouldn't have lasted this long with my Hero. Bringing Froyo, Gingerbread and all the latest kernels to our poor neglected devices makes you guys tops in my book.
Thanks for everything you do and for giving the Hero the lease on life that HTC and Sprint never did. You guys rock!
Cheers to that

couldnt agree more. its amazing what these guys are doing. team hydra and all the hard work porting sense 3.5 to our heros is outstanding. thanks guys.
Thank you to the users! Without you guys we wouldn't have the motivation to create such work!

Definitely !!!!! Big thanks !!!!! I have flashed a ton of Roms and it was like a new phone every time !!!! Thanks again !
Same feelings here. Thank you to this whole Hero CDMA community for their contributions. There is definitely a lot of pride and satisfaction in being a part of such a great group of users and devs.
I've been using my Hero for nearly 2 full years now, and even though I'm due for an upgrade in 1 more month, I am not in a huge rush to go switch out because of how happy I've been with the Hero for so long.
thank you.
hey guys, i wanted to say thanks to everyone in this forum:
- the devs for taking time creating amazing work that to help improve, theme, mod, etc. our device to an extent beyond the what samsung/sprint couldnt or wouldnt do. THE DEVS ARE THE DRIVING FORCE OF THIS SITE - i cannot thank u enough either monetarily or by clicking the "thanks" button. ur work (regardless if i have flashed it or not) is incredible. cheers!
- the members for helping out the devs w/bug reports, answering questions, and general help w/either questions i had or welcoming in a rookie. this is a VERY friendly forum and thats not always the case in other forums. thanks!
for anyone who cares i haved moved on to the GSIII. i took advantage of the one day $100 best buy sale a few days back. the EPIC 4G was my first smartphone and android device. because of the devs and the community here - I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A "non android" PHONE. i understand now why its even laughable to me that anyone would purchase an iPhone over and android device.
long live the original and BEST of the Galaxy S devices.:highfive:
thanks again guys!!!
*for the savvy readers who caught the (*)asterick in the title of thread...its because my wife still has her EPIC 4G. i made needs ya'lls help in the future
i just wanted to thank all the developers & moderators for doing such a great job keeping great roms going for the epic. i am jumping ship to tmobile and will not be in the epic area but i just wanted to say how much i appreciate the continued development on older model phones. it's been a couple years and everyone has made the epic easy to keep in my pocket. thank you very much.
