My speaker died more than a week ago, it was on its way there for about few days, I didn't put anything here, till I had a solution to the problem.
I did find a brand new speaker for Nokia 6500S, which looks like the trophy one:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Buzzer-R...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item588f5cc434
and another one here with tools included:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360364259578
If you search for "Ringer buzzer for Nokia, you'll find more.
I have installed it and the phone works great, you need to remove the old one from the cover, together with the front plastic protection, which is glued very lightly to the back cover of the phone, it is very easy to replace.
Nice Tip
Thanks for the advice. I did just that but got an original nokia n95 one from ebay.
Cost me 5 rubs. Took about 10 mins to fit.
I love it when lifes easy!
Thanks again
Me and my wife got a HTC Trophy and on both phones the speaker died.
The positive thing is that HTC got a very good service.
They repair everything for free, with a pick up and return service.
So, our both Trophy's are repaird for free and good now!

Yeh thats the thing, it fell off without me noticing.
So i have no idea where it is..
Mine fell off too but found it in my case. Its just a small bit of rubber - suggest you find a bit of black rubber and cut one out. Otherwise its a new battery cover but i have not seen anywhere selling them!
Drop into a Cingular/T-Mobile store for a hands on "test drive".
I have a broken battery cover with the rubber part still on it. PM me your address and I'll post it to you.
First come first served.
Steve.
Everyone i know who has owned a Wizard for more than 6 months has lost the black thingy off the back.
Bet all the stylus's start fallin out soon
mine fell off over the summer. the 106 degree weather melted the glue an it just came off...sucks.
I contacted T-mo to get a replacement under warranty. They referred me to HTC USA. I called but could not get a hold of a human. I gave up.
I have had my I-Mate K-Jam for over 6 months now and these things haven't happened........................YET!!!! GULP!!!!
For dutch people (t-mobile) can order spare parts for the MDA Vario (qtek 9100) through the website http://www.solid-vision.com/ AKA http://www.gsmrepareren.nl/
A new cover cost about 15 euro.
Greetz
Mine fell off a couple of days ago too.
Is it really THAT big of a deal??
Like someone said, stop by a phone provider store and switch the back cover with the displays. Assuming it comes off.
I've had mine since the day the K-Jam got launched, I don't even remember how long ago that was haha. But yeah my rubber piece just fell off the other day too. I guess I'm just going to cut out a new piece and glue it on
I phoned up HTC UK for one, cost me £5
my insurance doesn't cover cosmetic damage the the excess is £20 so worth it imo
Please, its been about a month since the earpiece on my wizard died and i can't find the part anywhere! I found one damaged wizard on ebay which sold for $400 with a damaged screen! obviously a fradulent buyer but the seller hasn't replied yet.
So if your wizard is water damaged, smashed, or simply inoperable i need this one part to fix my earpiece. Also my brothers wizard's speakers are blown so it'd be great if i could get a hold of those two.
What i need is the ribbon cable which connected the main board to the top sliding half of the device. Its a ribbon cable attached to a circuit board on both ends.
Please i really need this so i can bring the phone part of my wizard back to life.
PM me if you know where i can get this part or if you have a damaged wizard.
Thanks in advance!
broken wizard!
i do have a working one with cracked screen. where are you located?
i should have mentioned that.. I'm in austin, texas. If u are over seas i can check to see if i can make it elligible for a corporate rate to ship it to me.
Also how much would u be wanted for it?
I'd offer you mine, but I got the same thing broken.
i just emailed 2 sellers on ebay which have cellphone parts and wizard housings in there stores, awaiting there reply. And i'm working something out with the one person with a damaged one from ebay.
What do you guys think $85 good for a wizard with a damaged screen?
broken wizard
I have a broken wizard--I dropped it, but I can still make calls from it via the bluetooth headset.
PM me if you are interested and I'll give you my phone #.
I've pm'd u, but does that mean your earpiece is broken as well? Cuz what i need is the ribbon cable that powers the earpiece, LCD, digitizer, softkeys, and everything else on the front half of the device. So if yours is broken then probably won't help mine out much.
i guess so. If you need an intact (front) then mine won't help--due to the fact that the "cal answer/hangup " buttons do not work.
The damaged one i bought off ebay came in today, swapped the parts out and now my earpiece is working again!! i'm so excited!!
Now i have all these parts lying around if anyone needs anything send them my way. The parts i got are:
The main board
Camera
Vibrator
Main housing (except for the front its really banged up)
Antenna
Keyboard
But no battery cover, didn't come with one.
Heres a pic of the mess i had on my desk but it all worked out perfectly
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I no longer have the damaged wizard so please don't PM asking for parts.
hey fone_fanatic, wondering if you ever experienced your Wizard creaking when you press down on the front faceplate(below the call/end buttons)....seems to come from the hinge right under the the right soft key (the one connected to the keyboard), only thing is it only makes noise when the keyboard is closed and my keyboard is not loose at all(nice and snug)....just wanted to know if you might know of a fix for my problem, would you recommend me taking it apart or just sending it in for a warranty repair or do you know if it is pretty easy to somehow shorten the gap between the front face and the keyboard?.... appreciate the time.
Regards,
P.S. My Wizard works fine, its just starting to get very annoying when I make/end phone calls.
no, mine doesn't make any noise when i press down there. well there is a noise but its coming from the battery cover. if your device is under warranty, i suggest sending it in if it bothers you that much. the reason being because when u open it up your bound to break a couple of clips which might make it worse.
fone_fanatic: I love that mess on your desk
You might want to mask out your First National Card though - edge detection filters would love that image...
V
don't worry about the card, its one of those advertisement cards you get in the mail syaing your pre-approved or whatever. i always keep those cards and use them with taking devices apart.
fro the broken units
check out this site they repair and sell repair parts

anyone got a 8125 with a cracked LCD but all other functions still working?
yes, i'm aware of pocket pc techs but they didn't have the part i needed to fix mine whihc is why i bought a damaged one and salvaged the part i needed out of it. Now i've got all these extra parts , but what to do with them...?
@ fone_fanatic
thanks for the advice....off to warranty it goes...hope it comes back with no new problems (fingers tightly crossed)....
Regards,
hey can I see that pic of the parts u got left?
I wouldnt mind buying a wizard with just a broken LCD if it was cheap. $180 to send it in to fix a LCD is super expensive when the phone is like $350 on ebay

The reason i bought it the this one with the damaged lcd is because i couldn't find the part i needed (Rigid Flex Board) anywhere so i swapped my broken one out with this one. So if i was to put this back together not only would the lcd be busted but the earpiece won't work also the speakers would be blown (sold good speakers to a friend). Also the front case is heavily scratched/dinged, looks like someone smashed a brick on the phone.
http://www.eliteelectronics.co.uk/SPV_M600_Krusell_Case.html
look for the classic one.
im considering getting one - the one i had for my c500 did me great, but just wondering if anyone has come across any reviews and if there are issues with the touchscreen or not with it? ive searched high and low and cant find much info on it, thats my only concern - a good price too.
Hi,i have the two first case for my spv m600,I use the first for the week-end and the second for the work.I've a protected screen too and i've no problem to use the tactile screen.I've bought all my accessories for my phone here :http://www.kabiloo.fr/___nos_accessoires_pour_spv_m600.html
Just my opinions
I found the Classic case too restrictive on the touch screen so as i have a screen protector on the phone anyway i just cut the clear vinyl that coveres the screen off and got on with it much better.
1 thing i did notice was that the prestud on the rear of the case did pop open a little too easy when it was clicked on my belt and came loose too often.
I since bought one of these from ebay and it's the best ive used
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Crystal-Plast...ryZ48677QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I've removed the flip screen just cause i prefer not to have it on but it was pretty good with it
Ive also ordered a silicon case (with a belt clip) from ebay too and i'll post here what i think when it arrives
hope it helps
well, ive gone ahead and ordered it now! just hope it does as good a job as my old one did on my c500 - it looked immaculate after 18 months of hard use, and the odd drop (im a little clumsy!)
provided i can use the touchscreen through the cover, im happy!
Good afternoon,
Recently bought a housing for my trinity. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=120315350939)
The product was not expensive when compared to others, and it is the original cover from HTC. I have the white one, so i wanted to try the black.
The product came as quicker than expected and in perfect conditions. Also, the seller offers a complete kit to disassemble the Trinity. Checked the Dimantos tutorial (to whom i'd like to thank) in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311463 and dissassembled my old cover.
The black cover i bought didn't even have the LEDs, the camera protection, the buttons (camera, power) - Well, i thought, i can reuse the old ones. And so i did.
But, unfortunately, when trying to fasten the screw, i realised it's just plastic (there nothing in the cover to "receive" the screw) and its impossible to fasten them.
Also, i'd like to know if its possible to buy those little golden pieces, since i don't want to break the other cover to take them out.
Thanks in advance
wow it looks like you've been conned man...
hm
In my country we say:
how much money-that much music
dont buy cheap things, thaey are mostly not good

Same here,
but I menage to pull out little golden pieces and place them in my new housing.
If you don't find "little gold pieces" here what you can do...
Fasten the screw in golden pieces but only a half way, than take tweezers, grab screw, and pull it out..
Warm golden pieces with lighter (also use tweezers) and stick them in new housing...
I got a cover from ebay and it pretty much went straight on except i had to put the old buttons in because the new on did not come with new ones
Hi,
it s incridible, i ve just finish to change my housing of my trinity 5 minutes ago !!!!
Same problem as you, no way to put screw, so i destroy my old housing to get the 5 gold piece, and i put it in the new.
One thing to say : f***k this seller on ebay, he says nthing about this issue !!!
Good Luck.
trinity housing from ebay
YUP YUP same thing happened to me! Me and my buddy used a lighter to warm the case and then forced the screws in. I had the black and got the white, I also bought the white silicone case too looks good! It was a nightmare I had to use EVERYTHINGfrom my old case.
Hi all,
I just broke the screen of the hd
the lcd is ok also the touch screen on top is ok
what is broken is the layer of glass/plastic between the lcd and the touch screen....
any suggestion ?
what htc sell as spare parts?
Thanks in advance
If you have warranty try to apply it, if not use original HTC replacements, just google it
good luck,
I've see what you need on ebay, it cost 85 euros...
the part u broken is glass maden! 85€ it's a good price, if u send the device to htc in order to be repaired, 85€ it will be just a happy dream.
wich part exactly do i need ?
i was looking at the HTC_Blackstone_Service_Manual and i see in the Disassembling procedure that the screen come together with the front cover
but i am not sure.
thanks for helping
Hope you had some cover, we had a similiar thread like this a few weeks ago i got my HD insured soon after, for £6 a month with orange, cant afford to folk out £100+ pound if that happens to my HD. by the way how did that happen was much force needed?
i didn't notice,
i was surprise Very surprise
Spicefabry, did you find a good replacement?
Mine broke too two days ago
It start to ring and vibrate and felt from the table.
HTC service told me the glass come with display and they have to change both. For around 220Euros
And this is almost half of the price of a new HD
