"Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages."

How do I recover my tattoo ?
Why r u going back to Donut ?
SentFromMyHTC_Tattoo=NB161
When I flashed to Gingerbread rom 2.3.4 my phone reboot by itself often. So I flashed back to the old one , but it didn't work.
All my tattoo can do now is go to clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 and when I reboot system it hang on the TATTOO screen. I think...because it has no rom after I had wiped all.
For now I just want to use it as before...
Thanks for ur attention.
First, you should activate clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 and mount sd card to your computer.
1st Open Hboot
2nd Open Recovery over the home button
3rd Select mounts and storage
4th Connect the USB cable
5th Choose mount USB storage
Second, download a rom from the forum (eg nFinityGB-1.07.zip) on your computer.
Third, upload rom to USB storage
Fourth, Wipe data / factory reset within clockworkmod 3.0.0.5
Fifth, start install zip from sdcard
Sixth, chooze zip from SD card and install it
Disconnect USB cable.
Restart phone.
To install Officiel ROM Tattoo Download one of the ROM version from the forum and start over the computer when the mobile device is connected via USB cable.
In this way, I successfully eliminated this problem.
Oh...Thank you QeHaDlbaH
I appreciate that you helped me....I will do it
But...I bought LG optimus black (snow white) 2 day ago , Because I think no one can help me...
So you have my thanks alot and alot.

Ok, I've managed to successfully root my phone a couple of months back using unrevoked (no problems there).
Recently Vodafone UK (my carrier) has released an OTA android 2.2 update which i was having trouble installing. I decided to attempt to un-root my phone and in my wisdom used the clockword Recovery mod to "Partitions menu > format boot"
believing that the factory default "boot" would be restored (big mistake) To make things worse i didnt make a backup of the boot partition using the "nandroid" option within clockworkmod (it seams obvious in hindsight)
anyway my current problem is that i'm stuck with a phone that wont boot into android and only my self to blame. Bellow are the current screens/options that i am able to access.

After doing some research/googling i came across this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-807509.html
which in turn lead me to this file:
http://rapidshare.com/#!download|38l34|419254202|PC49IMG.zip|126004
The file which it says is missing. Once i have an SD micro card reader (going out to purchase one tomorrow) i am going to attempt to place this file on the sd card (in the boot partition?!) and use it to try and boot from.
My question(s):
Will this work?
Do i have any other options?
Is it possible to find and download someone elses backup file and use clockwork to restore from that?
Any and all help will be much appreciated!
EDIT: Apologies for posting this thread twice, I didn't know which forums to post in.
I would advise you to install a new rom via recovery. Download wildpuzzle or something. You do not need to buy card reader. If you cannot do this, I advise you to goto the stock roms website and download the 2.1 ruu and flash that then re root using un revoked

so all i have to do is simply run the RUU while the phone is connected? no need for a "gold card or similar?
Flash the wildpuzzle rom first try that and it should work.
thanks, this worked.

Hi,
I am getting the same problem that my Wildfire doesn't get pass thru the splash screen after the OTA update.
I tried this steps.
any advise you can give me?
thanks.
1st, You need a wildpuzzle rom 2.2.1 (V0.6 gives 165mb) Wildpuzzle rom 2.2.1 download page
2nd, Make sure that you BACKUP your SD card (copy whole SD card to computer).
3rd, Move wildpuzzle rom 2.2.1 that you have already downloaded to the SD card (DONT delete the copy in computer).
4th, You need to WIPE ALL THE DATA (wipe/factory reset) in your wildfire and make sure that you have already made a backup of your rom before wiping.
5th, Make sure that you backup your SD card with your BACKUP (backup-ed rom).
6th, Run in recovery mode and select wipe/factory reset the data.
7th, Choose install zip from SD and install your wildpuzzle rom 2.2.1.
***I only get
"E:failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)

Hi I just got a new htc hd2 its running on windows. I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to go about using clockworkmod recovery. I downloaded mJds cyanogen 7 and have it on the desktop along with magdlr and i have the clockworkmod recovery all on my desktop and i was wondering how i should go about using clockworkmod recovery to get the cyanogenmod up and running since this phone is brand new and hasn't been hacked. Help would be appreciated. And the recoverymod is 1.3 not 1.2. I have an idea about how to do it but i don't wanna mess up.
put the rom.zip on sd card
bootloader,
connect usb cable,
hspl4,
2.08.hspl,
((bootloader, usb, radio 2.15.50.x if you do not have a tmous)),
bootloader,
connect usb cable,
magldr,
reboot, enter magldr
'usb flasher'
connect usb cable,
flash cwm,
reboot, enter magldr
'8 ad recovery'
cwm should start (orange menu)
'install zip from sd'
choose zip
yes
power/end key (to step back up the menu) then send to 'reboot system now'
It may take a few minutes for the rom to start
(send key is 'enter', end key is step back up one level, if at top level, it just shows a logo till u press end again)
Is it possible to flash CWM after a ROM via DAF without losing the ROM?
Will I be able to backup the nandroid rom that was flashed before CWM?

Short answer: no
By flashing cwm, you will erase your system partition in nand. Best you can do is to back up your apps and such with a program such as Titanium Backup or MyBackup Pro from the Android Market. But the good news is that Android is really fast and easy to set up from scratch, so even if all is lost, not that much is lost

Monzer, when you install bootmenu are you installing the .apk and then opening the app and then clicking to install 2nd init? This is the right procedure! after you do this reboot your phone and watch for blue led to flash during boot, hit volume down once it flashes blue.
What 2nd init version are you installing? here is the latest http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=792601&d=1322064151
Are you trying to flash CM7?
There is a very old version of CWM that should be suitable if all else fails you. It should work just fine to flash CM7 but not so sure about CM9. However if you want to flash CM9 You could use this old version of CWM to flash CM7 which will in turn install a new version of 2nd init which is definitely suitable for flashing CM9. This old CWM "might" work for flashing CM9 but I dunno if I would try or not! Download in my attachment below!
You MUST enable USB debugging to install.
copy the apk to your sdcard and use a file manager to install it then open the app in your app drawer and choose to install the custom recovery (with USB dubugging ON)
THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
AFTER INSTALLING THE CUSTOM RECOVERY DISABLE USB DEBUGGING.
You enter CWM by again opening the app and choosing reboot to recovery (with USB debuggind OFF)

Hi.
My friend has HTC HD2 and we wanted to flash CWM and new nadroid.
The phone has already HSPL 2.08, MAGLDR 1.13 and radio 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14.
In the phone there is android (Android 2.2, kernel 2.6.32.15 dirty cotulla, software number 2.29.405.5).
phone (in info): HTC Desire A8181
I tried flash CWM 150MB but:
1.) DAF doesn't work for me (error init USB). So I tried andr_install.exe, it worked and phone was connected
, but then it show message:
PARTITION LAYOUT NEW
Do you want to preserve data?
Press POWER to save it
Press GREEN to clear it
Press VOLDOWN to abandon flashing
I tried abandon flashing and I get error (something like can't clear partition)
We want to flash HyperDroid CM7.
So My question is, did I make something wrong?
Must I make repartition of MAGLDR befor flash CWM or CM?
I would to try HD2 NAND toolkit, but I looked, that it use also DAF.
I would try a full wipe (task29) in HD2 Toolkit.
But if it not work, we will have cleaned phone
Can I do this?
Repartition of MAGLDR to 150MB, catch 44MB.
Run CWM from SD card.
Install CWM from SD card to NAND (recovery_5.0.2.6_leo_CWR.zip)?
When you repartition, it installs cwm too.
Use the nand toolkit, put phone into magldr USB flasher, in nand toolkit select tye size you want, clik 'reaprtition' bottom left, hey presto partitions created and cwm installed. If you get connection errors click download drivers. (Alternate means of getting the correct drivers are - install 'myphoneexplorer ((also good cos it syncs with outlook)) or install the android sdk (Google for android USB drivers).
The reason you got the errors trying to flash cwm in post 1 is because the old method used to install your original rom doesn't create a recovery partition, so there's nowhere for cwm to install.
OK I will try it
I have already google drivers (from ADB)+HTC drivers (I have EVO 3D)+I installed windows mobile device center.
But andr_install.exe worked, so I hope that toolkit will work too
Thank you!
Android reflashed!
It worked really well, thank you!
Please Help. I accidentally formatted system in cwm recovery and i didnt even backup
Now i am stuck in LG bootanimation
But i can still access the recovery mode
i even tried mount usb storage so that i can install some rom directly from usb via otg cable but did not go well
also i cant read my sdcard. so install zip from sd card is also not possible.
So what do i do. Please help .
Please reply quickly as this my only phone and i dont have a spare phone
All you need to do is format all partitions except the internal sdcard, then flash another ROM along with gapps and super su (if using Aosp/CM). When you say the SD card can't be read do you mean in the Korean version?

Another option (computer required). This method will return your LG G2 to bone stock. This method will remove root and custom recovery; but you'll at least have your G2 useable again. Click on this link, download, and follow all instructions. (it takes a while, so just be patient.)
