It is said that you have to hold the power button to load MAGLDR after resetting the phone, but when I reset the phone it automatically boots to MAGLDR, instead of WM 6.5. Can you guys tell me how to access WM 6.5 from MAGLDR?
I forgot to mention that I always get this message before it boots to MAGLDR after resetting.
Rebooting Android from SD
Android loads at 11000000
From MicroSD
Load zIMAGE
K:\ zIMAGE
SD Kernal Open Failed.
Should I be concerned?
I haven't installed Android yet, but I'm in the process of installing Clockwork 1.3
I also tried to do a factory reset through MAGLDR, but it only goes back to the MAGLDR main screen. Help? Please?
First of all, use the "edit post" button to add text to the first post instead of making two new
Yesterday I got the exact same problem. Someone said that it is because the MAGLDR can't see the wrongly flashed ROM. However, I did not notice that it is something wrong with it.
What ROM do you have and which HSPL version ?
I had WinMo 1.46 stock and HSPL 2.08
my apologies.
stock? i'm using Radio 2.15 HSPL 2.08
did you correct your problem?
would it be safe to manually hard reset?
You can't boot Windows Mobile 6.5 if you have MAGLDR installed. But there is simply way back - just run RUU with stock 1.48 ROM on your PC, while having your HD2 connected to PC (phone has to be in bootloader, that rainbow screen).
I didn't correct my problem. I had to flash WinMo back from the SD card but the raven_raven's method is also possible.
So raven, why I can't boot into WinMo with MAGLDR? I've seen many people doing that by not keeping the power button pressed
From what I know, it's impossible to boot into WM6.5 if you have MAGLDR on your device. Its purpose is to load Linux kernel, not WM .
I'm kinda confused right now
If you flashed MAGLDR, why would you want to use WinMo? The main purpose of MAGLDR is to boot Android/WP7 on the NAND. It over-writes the WinMo you had on it before.
The error you're getting, you shouldn't be worried about it at all. All it is is that you haven't flashed a ROM yet. What do you mean you're in the process of flashing Clockwork? It's not hard... just flash the DFT file on your PC via the USB Flasher option and you'll have Clockwork. Then you install your .zip ROM, reboot and you won't get an error anymore as you'll have a ROM flashed.
Thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated.
I can't access the USB Flasher. When I connect my phone to my PC, my SD card doesn't show up, instead, its recognized as an "unspecified" MAGLDR driver. I can't do anything with that.
But I can access my SD card through USB Mass Storage, but I don't want to install DFT on Mass Storage when I'm told to use USB Flasher. I don't want to do anything stupid

the usb flasher option is not to mount your sd card, it is just used to flash files/roms via daf.exe. use the usb flasher to install clockworkmod1.3, once that is done boot back into magldr and go to ad recovery, and recovery should start. from there you can mount as usb mass storage. i belive the one in magldr doesn't work very well, or at all for some, the one in clockwork always seems to work well for me.
guys its simple your not supposed to use MAGLDR if your going ot go back WM6.5.
tunr your phone off. hold the volume down button and press the power button, do not let go of the volume button, its going to bring you a tri colored screen. once your in that screen plug in your USB cable to the phone and to your computer. once that is doen flash a official WM6.5 rom let it do what it does, its going to restart and there you go back on WM6.5
there is no way you can boot Win 6.5 if you got MAGLDR, never seen it here
(unless someone shows a video or something)
the only way that can be achieved is to go into bootloader (tricolor screen)
and flash Win 6.5
I thought MAGLDR was for dualbooting. I wanted to go back to 6.5 in case I ran into any problems with the android builds Nontheless, I successfully installed Cyanogenmod, and it works perfectly. I dont think i'll be going back to 6.5.
Thanks for the help, it was greatly appreciated.
Hold volume down and power button when turning the phone on, it will get you into tree color screen...then plug your phone into pc .....on the of run rom installer for win 6.5 and after it is done you should be able to boot into win 6.5.

Hi guys!
I have the same problem.
my question is if I the official ROM is it going to erase/format the old one that I had?
The reason is that I did not backup everything and it would be nice if I could go back and get the rest of my contacts...
Is there any way of having a dual boot
BEWARE: complete noob!!!

Are you honestly incapable of reading? What kind of complete MORON flashes something to their phone without a full knowledge of exactly what it will do?! If you install WinMo again you will have lost all of your data that is on the internal storage of your phone, and to be honest you deserve it if you are stupid enough to flash something without reading about what it does.
On a more positive note, you can flash NAND Android instead of reflashing WinMo if you want, using this guide. Since you would go ahead and flash this without reading up about it, I should probably warn you that IT WILL DELETE WINMO FROM YOUR PHONE! Is that clear enough for you?

Hi all, i have a problem with my htc hd2... i was using HyperDroidGBX-v12[GRI54-2.3.3][a2sd+][TytR8.3][INSANE SPEED]. it went great untill yesterday..
Now when power on the phone it seems to don't boot andorid..the android robot still freeze on the screen and it doesn't go forward.
i tried to reflash the rom but also when i launch ClockworkMod Recovery (3.2.0) it launch the ClockworkMod then on the screen it say go go go...but it doesn't go nowhere...
i tryed also to do an hard reset but i can't go in bootloader... it goes directly to the magldr screen.
i tryed to use an sd android rom and it make the same thing...go..go..go! but nothimg happen...
could be i have bricked my htc hd2?
someone can suggest me something to do excepr go and buy anothe phone?
thx to all
Happened to me yesterday. Just run usb flasher in magldr, reflash your partition and clockwork and start again
if you would have bricked it your phone would just do nothing.
if you can go into bootloader and even magldr everything is ok and you can make a freash clean install.
HI, thank you for your reply.
i was able only to reflash ClockworkMod.
i don't know how to reflash the partion if u mean using Recovery_150M i did it and nothing happen
So you reflashed the CWM partition and it still can't go into CWM?
And you're sure that when you hold vol down and then boot up the HD2, it doesn't go into the tri color screen?
Only thing I can offer to get a android build running is to flash say Cotulla's stock rom, or any rom that requires you to flash it through a DAF.exe.
yes... i reflashed CWM and nothing happened...still stocked on go go go! i left it in this way all the night and this morning still on go go go...
yes i'm sure tht when i boot the ophone holding vol down it doesn't go in bootloader
i tryed to star an android sd rom and it doesn't start... i think it is a magldr problem... there is a way to reflash magldr?
i tryed but it say rspl/rspl.cpp missing file...
thx to all
i also try to install a dft rom ([13.FEB.2011][DFT|CWM]AF403 DesireHD stock base 1.5 [/data ext4onSD][Krn:RAFPIGNA1.7]) but it the same...
now instead of the android robot freezed i have the htc green logo on black desktop
I think what you could do is:
Hold the volume down key and turn on the phone.
Then when the tricolor screen appears, flash MAGLDR 1.3 again. Then flash a fresh CWM right after that. Then try.
If still nothing, try a hard reset. if CWM manages to load, then wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik. format ur sd. create a new partition. then try flashing ur rom again.
If still nothing, then flash a stock ROM through DAF.exe; like Cotulla's stock rom.
he says that he can't get into the bootloader.
this is what sounds weird to me when he is able to boot into magldr and cwm but is not able to start the bootloader.
If the phone is powering to the point of seeing the MGLDR and or CWM then is not bricked and you're doing something wrong to not see the tricolored screen. Power down, power back up holding the volume button down and when you see the tricolored bootloader, let go of the volume button, now plug in your USB cable and when you see the USB at the bottom of the screen and the pc connects, flash task29, and redo your MGLDR and CWM partition, and flash rom again.
Some people think that you can brick an hd2 while in android, but you can't! The only way to brick the hd2 is flashing the wrong radio, or messing with the windows bootloader, if you ruin an android build, even messing around in the root folders, all you need is good old task29, and start over.

thx to all... i confirm tht i cant go in bootloader...
i think is a problem of hot processor so the hd2 stop working...
i have read it in another post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1081351&highlight=bootloader
i think i m going to put in the frezzer is my last chance
nothing to do... also putting the hd2 in the freezer...
i really think nand is gone
Hey i wanted to factory reset my hd2 but it only has the magldr and clockwordmod recovery. When i turn the phone on, it wont go to the rom because it seems like there is no rom. I used to have an android rom but decided to install other rom but things werent good so now the phone is keep rebooting since the rom is missing.
Any ideas on how to reset the phone with only magldr and clockwordmod recovery? :/ And the phone wont sync in to the computer (like windows mobivle device center) but i can sync the micro sd card in. Thank you so much

In order to get a hardreset you have to switch on your device while holding down the volume high and volume low key at the same time.
But in your case that isnĀ“t a factory reset. In oder to get the default status you have to rebuild the stock condition. That means you have to flash your Stock Windows Mobile ROM and uninstall HSPL. If your want to do this you will find detailed instruction in this forum.
Okay i have a question, my friend brought me an hd2 phone similar to the one i have. Thing is that he tried to install android on it and im not sure what he did wrong. I can reach MAGLDR when i turn on the phone but it wont boot on android and or reach the bootloader no matter what i do. Question is, is there anyway to flash a bootloader via the usb flasher on MAGLDR or is the phone simply bricked because of that?? By the way yes i have taken the battery out tons of times and tried to turn on with button down and power and even tried the reset button on the back of the phone without luck.

Try only holding the volume down and plugging the phone into a computer. If that doesn't work, you can install different android ROM's through recovery and some old ones even flash through usb flasher. It was probably a bad install and at least it will boot into android when you clean flash a different ROM.
Hey thanks for the fast response. Ok the thing is, that he installed MAGLDR 1.11. And i cant see any option to get into AD recovery. But to be honest ive never used 1.11 before so i dont know if its possible to use cwm with it. Anyways, I tried with 2 different roms via usb flasher but it wont load android. In fact, when i turn it on and it boots everything seems to be fine. After the GO GO GO it will just show the DFT logo and it stays like that. I tried the DLdesire rom earlier and now it wont show the DFT logo but the DLdesire one. But it just stays there and thats it. Like i said, I cant reach the bootloader and im afraid i wont be able to update MAGLDR to 1.13.
That takes me to antoher question. Will MAGLDR work even when maybe he didnt install HSPL? Because the only thing i can think of is that maybe he didnt. Oh well, who knows what was done to that phone . Anyways if someone have gone thru something similar please i need advice.
Hspl and radio must be already correct since magldr starts. The phone would go immediately to the splashscreen and hang there if either were wrong. You wouldn't see magldr at all.
" ad recovery" is only an option in magldr 1.13,, for 1.11 you would find the SD card version of cwm and start it by choosing "ad SD" in magldr.
As for "can't enter bootloader" ( I assume you're doing it right... voldown held, power tap and release) the only time I've seen that fixed was recently when a Guy disconnected the hard key ribbon cable, but that could be a fluke/totally different problem, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Ok so if im getting into MAGLDR it means that even though i cant reach the bootloader i can still flash a rom and it will work. So far i have tried a couple roms via usb flasher and none of them work.
Also, im looking up in google for the SD version of CWM for about an hour now and all i can find is the magldr 1.13 tutorials and stuff like that. Is there a special version of CWM for SD and if so, can someone provide a link on that?
Look for the thread titled something like "clockwork recovery yes/no " (look for the yes/no part especially) there are three versions in there, nand flash, update.zip and SD versions.
As for using USB flasher to flash roms, as far as I know only the first, proof of concept rom uses USB flasher mode,, all the recent roms are flashed from SD card through cwm.
Allright thanks a lot m8! you have been very helpful... happy new year by the way!
Okay, i still have issues with the HD2. I know im doing everything the way its supposed to be, and still when i hit AD sd the phone will do everything fine and even the GO GO GO message but still no recovery at all. If i try to install a sd type rom it will boot up to the Roms splash screen but that is it, it wont go further. What i dont understand is that MAGLDR will work just fine, adn when i flash anything the phone will take it with no errors. But then it wont load the recovery and or specific rom... Any ideas what might be???? Just remember, im not able to boot from the bootloader so im trapped inside MAGLDR.
I've already look through the other threads of users with the same issue, but none seem to have exactly the answer I'm looking for.
I was running windows phone 7 on my htc hd2, which was easy enough to do.
but yesterday I decided I wanted to put android back onto it, so I downloaded
Energy_2.8.2012.SensationXL from here. Followed all the steps in the thread, but now everytime I turn on the phone I get the error "NAND yaffs2 boot mount failed" and then just clicks straight over to the boot menu
so, as stated in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=971268 I tried to "task29" the phone through the HD2 Toolkit app, and start again.
But all I get when trying to: task 29, update to/ install magldr 1.13 or clockwork, it just gives me an error [264] connection.
I'm unable to get onto the tri-coloured usb flashing screen that I used when I put WP7 on it, i've tried putting it in 'usb flasher' mode from the menu to no avail..
is there somehow a way to put the new ROM I downloaded ^^^^ onto the phone by switching it over to mass storage mode,
and then selectiong option 3: boot AD NAND?
how about return to WM,then try task29 and MAG or CLK

I've always done the task29 and wiped it via HD2 Toolkit, but it's still stuck on the magldr boot menu
does the USB flasher option be the same at the bootloader (three-coloured screen) for flashing the new android rom?
If I simply loaded the android rom onto the SD card via an adapter, would that work if I went through the MAGLDR boot menu?
EG: 9: services, 1: boot settings, 1: boot source, 1: android from sd
..yes?
I'm at my wits end here guys!
I'm well aware of how to get into the three coloured bootloader screen, but the HD2 just wont do it!
I've done it numerous times before with this very handset from WM 6.5, then android (can't remember what version) , then WP7, and now it's decided to stop doing it when I want to go back to android, and the task29 has wiped it all, so I can't even simply revert back to WM6.5..
if someone could give me some step-by-step instructions on either a nand or SD android rom and the steps I need to take to get it working with that, bearing in mind the 'stuck on magldr' issue I have.
I can't remember if I stated it in my previous post but ever since I did the task 29, anything I try to do ie: update magldr to v1.13, update clockwork, or anything like that, it just give me an error saying it isn't connected via usb.
and now (started a few min ago) it isn't being recognised by the computer when I plug it in, even if i try and use 'mass storage' from the menu, whereas yesterday it was

Try flashing it back to window 6.5.... nbh.img?

Yes, I agree with the others.
When I try a new ROM and it fails for some reason or another, I always just go back to win6.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283) and start over.
A bit of a hassle, but have found this to be the most reliable way so far.

When flash back to 6.5... you don't need a computer. All you need is an SD card. Download the correct file that matches to your country... extract the file... pull out the nbh file and rename it leo... then place it on the root of your SD... then boot.
This is a short run down of how to get it back to stock. Search a little... cause I know there is a thread that tells you how to do it in detail... plus it have all the files that you'll need.
