I was just removing a couple of apps with titanium backup, google and samsung voice command. When I was done I opened my app drawer to find it was blank! Dispite the missing icons I can still navigate, and when I press options then edit my apps appear and I change them etc. I can add the folders etc to my home screen too.
I have tried rebooting and reinstalling the voice apps.
I am rooted running xxkg3.
Thanks!

Gotta bump this sorry, has anybody seen this before?
I done it with my sgs you have frozen or deleted the launcher either unfreeze if you can still get into titanium or download another launcher from the app market if you can get into it. Personally I ended up installing a custom rom and have never looked back

Is any one else missing apps that used to be in the Apps drawer. These are apps that are still installed and I can access through app manager or widgets. The apps I am all of a sudden missing are Lattitude, Places, calendar (the blue original one), Faves, and probably others. I am wondering if anyone has these all of a sudden missing and if there is any way to get the icons back? Thanks for any help!
I've noticed apps disappearing in the Sense/Espresso app drawer, but can't recall if they were stock apps or not.
I'm damn sure that some apps I install from the Market do not show up in the Sense/Espresso app drawer if I install them while in LauncherPro. I can see them in app manager, etc., but they're absent from the app drawer. I have to be in LauncherPro's app drawer in order to see everything I have installed.
Very weird, but this is my 1st HTC device, and I'm running LP as my default. Would still like to know why this is, and if there's anything that can be done to make all apps visible.
I had downloaded and installed a few launchers... in particular adw ex, launcher pro, he, and zeam. I decided to stick with the stock launcher and for some reason, even tho I chose to make the stock my default, after reading the home button a few times, it brings me to the selection dialog. I am running stock firmware rooted with visionary.

Are you talking about the pop up that asks you to select the home launcher? If so, it's because you still have the other launchers installed. You can uninstall the other launchers or you should have a check box at the bottom of the selection pop up (something about use default). Check it and select HTC Sense.

Yeah, I'm talking about the pop-up. And usually when I select one as the default, it works. Hitting home will take me to the home screen, but after a few times, its like it forgets which launcher is default, and brings the popup back up.
Try using Home Manager from the marketplace.
If all else fails, you can always delete ADW and LP
yes, just delete the ones you dont want
My ADW Ex has been going nuts the last few days. A lot of FC.
Its updated to the latest version

ok i figured out how to prove it forgets the launcher. With multiple launchers installed, choose one as your default. Now hold the home button down until the list of recently used apps pops up, now hit the home key.
make sure none of the launchers have been moved to the sd card...
Well at the moment I only have adw installed. Its really starting to piss me off lol. Wish there was a fix.

If you don't want the stock launcher, just remove it. You can do this by deleting Rosie.apk from the /system/app folder. And if you're going to do that, delete all the now useless sense widgets from there as well. That'll make it so that you only have your after market launcher. And if you want to make it a system app, just copy and paste the .apk into the /system/app folder. In theory it should help prevent the launcher stay in memory. This is exactly what I did and my Iced Glacier flies!
Get launcher switcher free from app store... select the launcher you want as default... make sure you CLEAR in the app the old launcher defaults (bottom of page) and Viola your done....
Aloha from Hawaii!
so I installed the latest update for TiBu, and I performed a system backup. after completion, my wallpaper reverted back to stock, and when I try to change it by long pressing on the home screen and selecting wallpapers, I get an error message saying that the "app is not installed".
I also tried going into the gallery app, selecting a picture, and choosing "set picture as", the app force closes.
I tried using the stock launcher and the holo launcher, but to no avail. I was on the modded framework.apk, but even after reverting back to the original framework (and disabling LMT), I still cannot change my wallpaper. I'm wondering if TiBu had anything to do with it?
Is there an app that actually applies a wallpaper?
thanks!
Zedge allows you to apply then from within the app

Good idea. I was able to get it to work via picasa tool app.
Still odd that I could no longer do it from the home screen.

weird, so this happened again! I performed a system data backup via TiBu, and the phone's wallpaper went back to stock - still cannot long press to change the wallpaper (or change it via gallery).
my only work around is to upload a pic to my picasa album, and then set it from there.
has anyone had this issue? I'm guessing I'm missing some app?

This sounds like one heck of an obnoxious hassle. Are you using a stock launcher? If not, each launcher has their gestures and such for what long pressing the screen would do. I'm assuming you're using the stock launcher but if not, check the gestures on the custom launcher.

i'm using holo launcher, but this occurs on both holo and stock. perhaps I need to install another launcher....
I installed Nova Launcher Prime and love it. One thing though. When I edit the apps in the drawer to show no label (name) it works great. But then for some reason whenever I reboot or install another app after I've already editing each app to show no name, it loses my setting and all the names come back. I tried making a backup of what I do, then restoring but it will not work. How do you make your edited apps in the drawer stick with their settings that you have made?
Weird, I've never had this issue with NL Prime. I just tried to reproduce what you said and it didn't happen.
I would ask for more details but I don't really know what to ask.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling NL and NL Prime?
I figured it out. If you have advanced task killer and you close all the apps in the list, which includes Nova that is what will reset the apps in the drawer. So now I just clear apps using the default 4.2.2 swipe away thing to close apps...
Advanced Task Killer has been obsolete since the Gingerbread days. Its best to just never use it.
Has anyone else had any problems with apps getting reset to default after reboot? After rebooting my phone tonight my apps like Instagram and games that required a log in had all been reset and my theme that was set earlier today from the galaxy store had been removed. Many apps like Root Explorer and Pokemon Go had to go back though the process of accepting all of the permissions again. This will all happen each time after a reboot. The only Xposed mods I had installed was Flat Style Keyboard and App Settings for dpi change on the camera app after changing system dpi. I had disabled apps with Titanium Backup but then restored a good portion of them aside from ones like weather and the edge screen apps trying to see if one of those were needed to keep app setting. I have restored my phone to stock for now but any suggestions would be appreciated in case the problem comes up again or others are running into the same thing. (I will attach screen shots of the apps that were frozen with Titanium)
