Hi all...I can't post in the dev sections yet so I'll ask here.
My question is, does anyone have a working Odin tar file for the CWM recovery that works on the Continuum? All the links to said files in the dev section lead to 404 errors or file not available. I'm trying to speed up my girlfriends rooted Continuum with the Voodoo lagfix (I have the Charge myself, so I'm familiar with Odin). I have the update.zip I need but just cannot seem to find the tar file. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Here ya go:

Wow...just when I about gave up. Thought I had searched everywhere...guess I missed that one. Thanks for the link!

Hey guys, can someone point me in the direction of a Rooted / CWM'd EI22 odin build? I've found a few posted but none did the trick.

I think Noobnl posted one in Development. There aren't many since we have not gotten an official tar yet. Either way you would still need to flash the EC05toEI22 modem zip since we don't have the modem tar either. Search for Noobnl EI22 Odin deodexed in development. If you can't find it I will search for you in the morning.

Yes, and here's the zip to bring you from ECO5 to EI22. I think the link is broke in that post.

Yes. Thanks Hammerbrain for following up.
Also
Just last night I used that post; the file I downloaded using the download link froze on factory.rfs.
So I downloaded the one from the mirror (hammerbrain) and that one worked perfectly; just remember you have to flash the ei22 modem too. (that link is in the post as well)
You will also want to update the recovery (it comes with 3.1.0.1 purple) to either CWM5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357655 or ACS Recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374900
both have flashable zips for upgrading.
Good luck
I dont have an AT&T Note 3 but I am willing to walk someone through how to grab them (you must still be MJ5 or lower) C'mon guys this ia community where we're supposed to help each other. If you look at my posts you can see I've posted countless Odin tars for the Galaxy S4. I dont want any of the downgrade tars or one clicks, and yes I know how to make them and and I know what they do, I just want the original unaltered files. I will post them for everyone via AFH if someone is willing to grab the OTA.zip and/or Odin tars. If you have them please post them. Id also be willing to make a stock deodex rom if thats what It takes. If these are already posted somewhere can someone direct me to them? I couldnt find a post that had them.
To get the Odin tars:
1. Google and download Kies and Fus Downloader
2. post here and il give more directions
To grab the OTA.zip:
1. Download the zip from the update notification and make sure you are rooted
2. go to /cache/fota or /fota and upload the update.zip then delete or move the ota from /cache or /fota so that you dont accidently update if you dont want to
bump
From the nb4 update thread
It fails out for me, likely because I've deleted some of the bloat I'm guessing. Deletes when it reboots, but the next time it finishes downloading I'll choose the Safestrap recovery when it's booting and copy it out. /cache/fota/2400258.cfg correct? that seems to be the only file that's growing during the download.

If someone will post (or PM me) instructions, I'll try to "borrow" my wife's untouched N3 long enough to pull the ROM. It's not MJ5, though. Unless you catch it fast enough (which she didn't), it's NB4 now. (And yes, I know how to use adb and a command line.)

Stupid question...
What do I do with these files? Are they Odin files? Sorry... just returning from the dark side (apple) after almost a year. I just want a taste of this new update. :silly:
Those are the OTA cfg (or zip - they have to be named zip to sideload them) files from before I know what version to MI1 to MI9 to ... up to 4.42. What the thread originally asked for.

So I can abd side load these and it'll install that version of the firmware? Sorry for all the dumb questions... Never had this problem with my GTN7100.
My understanding is that you can put the file on your external sd card (if you have one), boot to recovery, go to install zip from external source (I think that's the wording) and install from there, or you can sideload with adb.
Start with the file one version above the one you're on and keep going until you get to NB4.
But wait for confirmation from someone who actually knows what he's talking about. I've sold phones, I've repaired phones, I've written huge software systems, but I'm not anywhere near being a cellphone dev.
(After that it's your choice whether to go on to KK or not. I'm not giving up root and Safestrap for a slight increase in speed that I don't need anyway.)
We waiting for you ^^. My Note 3 get leak version 4.4.2 and i have just restore it to MJ5 follow the turial in forum but after that i read some disscusion thread i know that many people can't update OTA to 4.4.2. So i decide waiting your product.
Good work guys!!!

Here is something to get you started and do it fast I'll do it myself but damn college is pain in my ass.
1. Patching files using adb. Look here
2. Extracting Patching lines & Delete lines from updater script. Here is bash script.
3. Patching on linux (Much faster than adb) Look at this thread and also this post from thread.
4. Extracting files from .ext4 here
5. Odin packages.
So... Are you looking to make it possible to downgrade? Or... Yeah...
If so, I am willing to test.

Hey guys,
Trying to go to KK from Beans 4.3. Followed all steps and have used Odin before. When I go to flash the KK FW, this is what I am getting, every time. Has anyone else ever seen this? If so, what did you do to get rid of it and have the flash go as planned? I posted in the Beans KK thread too about this, but thought this question might be better served here. I also tried using the PIT file as well, but it only gets as far as you see in the image and then everything stops. Any insights are appreciated, as I am just stuck on 4.3.
Thanks

You just need to flash the .pit file as well. Not a huge deal. I believe it's in the master odin guide etc.
Edit: Just reread it. Try doing just the .pit first then. The one for 4.3

Post a question on az_biker's thread, here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576104
Hey . I'm trying to update the modem & bootloader for my phone. However, I don't know where the modem is. I have 3 files. I suspect the BL_N9005XXUGBPB2_BOOTLOADER.tar goes into BL?
And then AP_N9005XXUGBPB2_RECOVERY.tar and AP_N9005XXUGBPB2_KERNEL.tar.md5 go into AP? Is one of these the modem driver?
In what order should I do this? Especially the 2 AP files... I'm confused about those .
I would like to also mention that my device is currently rooted, uses TWRP. I want to update to a newer TWRP and then from Android 4.4 to Android 5. I suspect that flashing a new recovery and a new kernel will mean that I also have to do that once I've updated my device's modem.
Thank you in advance!
If you download a stock ROM from Sam mobile.com, unzip it to get a tar.md5 file which is flashed in the PDA slot of Odin 3.07. This method takes the guess work out of trying to figure out what goes where.
Uh, I don't really get it. I don't have a stock ROM nor do I want one. I want to install latest modem / bootloader so then I can install an Android 5 ROM.
The recovery and kernel is stock ones so don't need it. But still you have to find a modem. There is a thread in general section.

I do love it when you guys make it difficult for me . Really, I do. I mean, you'd do ANYTHING to NOT post a link . I'm honestly not being sarcastic. But I am amused nevertheless. I did search but I will repeat: there is SO much information that I can't be sure WHAT is correct. I've already been here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/direct-download-bootloaders-modems-t3258803
That's why I even started this topic.
I hope somebody will have the mercy to REALLY read what I ask and come up with a good answer, not vaguely-interested pointers into some vague direction.
I appreciate the time spent here by anybody, I've donated to this community and will gladly continue to do so! You guys rock. And I do appreciate even the vaguely-interested replies .

No worries bro.
You don't need to bother about these two files. Because, none of these is of your use. You are going to try a different ROM from the stock. Hence, you don't need to install Stock Kernel and Recovery. You need custom kernel which either comes with the ROM or you have to adopt a different one according to your need. As you have rooted your phone, you just need to install TWRP Manager from Play store to update your recovery, give it root access and install 2.8.7.0 recovery which is totally reliable at this point. I think it is explanatory enough
