Thanks guys. I read the posts. It probably won't take long for the work around. I still have my rooted tablet.

People are being misled, the above link does not work if you have 0.89.0005. Can't even downgrade if you have it.
If you are talking about downgrading yea it dose work I did it

I had a copy of unrevoked on my pc that worked for the heroc now I can't seem to find it.
anybody got an old version that supports heroc?
(the time I've spent looking I could have rooted it by now)

why don't you just go to unveroked.com and get one
yea, the new version doesn't support the cdma hero. I checked. it's fine I just rooted it the old fashioned way. I forgot how easy it was to root 1.5

unrevoked forever works with hero...just checked...anyway...glad you did it...

This is the version that I used when I rooted via Regaw's method. If that is what you are looking for, enjoy.
My moms got a mytouch which sucks, but she doesn't want to spend money on a new phone. I've got an hd2 with a broken screen, or the mytouch which is very slow on its ota and such.
Should I attempt fixing the screen or attempt fixing the mytouch with a custom rom?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I gave my Mytouch to my mom. What I did was put the 1.6 OTA on it. Sure, 1.6 isn't feature rich, but it's plenty stable, fast, has good battery, and works perfectly for calls, SMS, web browsing, etc.

Problem is though this mytouch got the stock ota and is terribly laggy and everything. Are there any easy to do and very vanilla roms out there for it you would reccomend?

The hardest part is making sure you have the correct file for your device.

Really? Lots of people got ginger back on there phones. Just curious how do you know its a mistake? Cause that's a pretty big blunder if true.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
I got my G2 back yesterday with the leaked gingerbread on it as well. Only difference is that I put it on there myself before I sent it; I was very happy that they fixed the phone issues instead of feeling I violated the warranty by flashing the leaked 2.3. Was hoping they'd downgrade to 2.2 so I could root it again though.
