I had a copy of unrevoked on my pc that worked for the heroc now I can't seem to find it.
anybody got an old version that supports heroc?
(the time I've spent looking I could have rooted it by now)
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
why don't you just go to unveroked.com and get one
yea, the new version doesn't support the cdma hero. I checked. it's fine I just rooted it the old fashioned way. I forgot how easy it was to root 1.5

unrevoked forever works with hero...just checked...anyway...glad you did it...
that's unrevoked forever. you have to be rooted first. I checked

This is the version that I used when I rooted via Regaw's method. If that is what you are looking for, enjoy.

Does it even work properly with the version of Android we aren't supposed to have?
Just flash the new epic experience on the last page or pull it from his rom.

What's up guys! Esteway, you will learn a whole new way to root install recovery etc. Once you get cwm on board just go about flashing as normal. Shabbypenguin made a one click root to make it easier but its almost too easy

I just made the same switch and am happy with the phone. Rooting is a bit trickier at first but fastboot is quite cool and easy to use. Read the rooting instructions carefully.... I scared myself a few times. You won't need odin or heimdall anymore.

I figure to keep people from posting threads after threads saying "please help I bricked my epic" I figured it be easier to have someone do it for them. Since I have plenty of time I figured I do this. If you would like me to root your device simply pm and I will give you instructions on how I will remotely control your pc (if I do it remotely then make sure you have a nonstock usb cable for example a blackberry micro usb) or you can send it to me. If you send via ups etc then you'll be paying for back and forth.*Disclaimer*if anything happens which more than likely WON'T its not my fault BUT will try my best to fix it.
I doubt this will take off but why not put it out there.
* Now know how to root the LG Optimus S, Samsung Transform, and the Evo * spread the word...
