Galaxy SII camera_click.ogg - Galaxy S II General

Does anyone have the file camera_click.ogg from /system/media/audio/ui/?
I flashed a rom and the shutter sounds are disabled on the rom(ogg file seems to be muted and replaced) for the camera apk.
I already looked inside the stock sgs2 camera apk and the files are not in the raw folder.
Can anyone help upload the stock camera_click.ogg so that i can re-enable the shutter sound in the modified high-res camera apk in Litening Rom v5?

Maybe this is what your looking for mediafire.com/?m081q6tmzmtqw1m

I already googled and tried that. Didn't get the shutter sound back. Anyone has the shutter sound ogg from a rooted stock rom phone?

foobar2000 complains that file in post #2 is unsupported or corrupted.
Here, catch this one.

Thanks!
Replacing camera_click.ogg in /system/media/audio/ui alone didn't help.
SGS II has 2 more files.
camera_click_short.ogg
Shutter01.ogg
I replaced those 2 files by renaming the file you provided as well to their respective names and the camera click sound is back.
You wouldn't happen to have cam_start.ogg, cam_stop.ogg and videoRecord.ogg now would ya?

Here you go, three files you have requested.

Thank you. You've been a great help. Could u help me check if camera click ogg is same as the camera click short and shutter01.ogg on your device?

These three files are all definitely different, - here.

Thanks a lot! You've been awesome help.
Replaced them all on Litening rom 5 after replacing the camera apk with the sound version from Potatoman. Sounds in camera working as before now.
If anyone can't download the files above. Pm me and I will send to you.

If you read through the thread, you will find there is an EC05 version that has been posted by k0nane (not in the OP though).
It is only an apk though, so you will either need to create your own flashable zip, or use adb or root explorer to replace your existing one
That didn't work for me and many others even though some got it to work

If you are still odexed, you have to delete the old apk and old odex

I have tried a half a doesn't ways to fix this call log problem and all have failed (thru my stupidity of course) - since I am Odexed and not one post said that you must delete the .odex file after you copy over the new .apk file in the system/app directory - even if you flashed it with a new .zip files that are out there, it does not delete the .odex if it still there.
That will stop the fix from working. I guess it was assumed that you would delte the .odex file also.
I went through a little trouble myself and that's just what I figured out that made it work. Clear text from old call log(optional). Delete the old apk and odex, copy the new one, reboot. Worked for me. Used the apk k0nane posted in the themes/apps section near the end of the thread, the one for ec05.

yup, that did it for me - if I hadn't been persistant and found your post, I was about to give up and live with it - but it now works as it should! thanks again!
this call log problems seems so stupid i can only come to the conclusion that samsung did it on purpose to annoy us. maybe samsung john did it
Got it now, thanks chris41g

From what I see in AOKP ROM controls the way to have boot sound is to copy a file and rename as /system/media/boot_audio.mp3 . I'm not sure whether it's default or just here on AOKP ICS though... Have you tried it?
I've tried android_audio.mp3 but ill try that...if it helps my sound files are all .ogg
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA
Maybe you should consider converting them to mp3? I'm not sure if ogg files can be played this way (on Android boot). Audacity should do the trick.
which ROM and kernel U used...
Kernel version
2.6.32.15_tyung_r14-g333fda
[email protected]#132
Mod version
CyanogenMod-7.2.0-RC1-
bravo[TyphooN_v3.8.1-MAGDLR]
Let me know if you can figure it out...I've been going crazy over this

It seems to be an Audio Effects Mod. Here is a link to the original post :good:

It's a great sound mod that does a bunch to improve your sound. It's included with Blue Kuban but you can also install it on other roms yourself.

Then copy paste lines given on thread to buildprop. Also put AndroidEmoji.ttf to System/fonts (backup old one), set permission 644. Reboot!!

Sorry mate… don’t think so… you see, you have to get access to the system folder i order to copy and alter the files. But if you figure out a way to do that without root… then good for you mate. Good luck… :good:

Using a file manager, go to the zip file containing the rom you're running, navigate to system >app and export the app you want. Then navigate to the extracted app and you should be able to install it
copy, or extract and copy, the .apk file (and the .odex file if an odexed ROM) from the .zip for the ROM you're using.
paste them in system/app
set permissions to rw-r-r
reboot
you should have your app back.
