Hey guys I have a question. I was trying to create more space on my HD2 a few months ago and my phone went dead. The light doesn't come on to show it's charging and it doesn't show any signs of turning on. I just left the phone but now I think I want to have the phone back on. Is there any way to unbrick the phone to get it back at least working. I was trying to put a new radio on it but I put the wrong version and it complete killed the phone. Any help or suggestions to getting this problem fix.
Thanks

1) where did you get the idea that flashing a radio created more space?
2) If you flashed an incompatible radio then there is no unbricking except jtag
Orangekid is right the only fix it to have it JTAGed. Contact me via PM and I can reffer you to someone that offers this servos if you want it unbricked.
Edit: Sorry I had not checked my inbox yet and read your message.

The title of that thread needs to be changed. A truly bricked HD2 will not even turn on which means you can not get to the bootloader. A truly bricked HD2 is bricked because the SPL of bootloader has gotten screwed up and it cannot boot any of the software. Hence the phone can not turn on, hence the term "brick" because it is a useless brick. If someone has a phone that that they can still get to bootloader with it is not bricked. A phone like that is just havering software or user difficulties and can in most cases be fixed, unless it is a hardware problem. Even then it can be fixed just not by flashing different software.

Dude, If you can get into the bootloader its not "bricked" obviously.
When you flash a EU radio to a US HD2 you do a "real" brick not just a n00by flashing problem.

Most likely got mixed up between RAM and ROM and thought that it would enable more storage instead of ram.
Either way he deserves the brick for not reading/researching properly before messing about with his device.
you do realize that thread was made for exactly what everyone is referring to right?
when someone flashes a eu radio/rom on their device right and renders it useless...its an old thread but some users have reported success.
however if it is a bl issue it won't work
I should've said that

I think we do realize that thread was started to try to help people. But that does not change the fact that if you flash a x.xx.51.xx radio (which are EU radios) or a 2.04.50.xx or a 2.05.50.xx radio (which are test radios) to a TMOUS HD2 it will, not maybe, but will brick a HD2. This is a Bootloader issue when you do this. So again that threads title needs to be changed and it is useless to the OP.
As T-Mac said, this is a physical brick. That phone is not going to power on again until it get's JTAG resurrected.
Hello, I can't find the original ROM. Somebody could provide it? I need some totaly clean without update, so then I could unlock the cell phone. For now I have the most actual and with that I cannot unlock the cell, unfortunatelly also my backup in Zuna is also with update and it's not possible to unlock the cell with it neither. Thank you

Dont understand why its not possible to dev unlock after updates...unless you are talking Chevron. If this is the case, then you should probably talk to the chevron people as the NODO update closes that gap.
I heard the Chevron people were aware of this, prior to the NODO release and may be able to help you.
Otherwise I do not think anyone here can.
Im also looking for a way to back my phone to 7004. I got a new phone with the 206 FW. So it never had 7004 to unupgrade to..

Are the back ups phone specific? Couldnt you use a back up someone has of the 7004 an the use it to restore you phone from 7392 through Zune? If someone has a back up made that they could post here or send to me, Ill see what I can do to get it to work. My DVP came the 7392 so I dont have it.

Hello, so if someone have the original ROM (without all the update)
on the DVP, you can make a backup of the Zune and add a deposit
here to download? Everyone can then restore his ROM to a state before
all updates thanks to this backup and so we can unlock the phone.
Thnx

Hmmm ... maybe less than complete response.
I'm sitting at my update screen. I see that my phone is up to date.
I see my previous restore points.
I do not see anyway to force a backup.
I'm a simple person, and it drives me nuts when people respond and don't respond with detail. As best I understand it right now, there is no way to do a backup via automation (except when doing an update). I know there are ways to do a backup via the support tools -- but that is not what was responded above.
how to force a backup (or restore):

i also would like to have the option of a nodo rom to unlock and to pass it over to newer os versions but unfortunality my phone (europe dvp version) had already nodo on it
you can not use another phones backup on your phone. they are very much device specific. It has been tried by many in the WP7 forum but with no luck. They are encrypted and function for only the phone that they were created from.

Um... As of now you can't. But there is an official chevron unlock that is on the horizon that will cost $9 and will dev unlock any os version

I'm not talking about the battery, I'm talking about the metal pieces that are supposed to make contact with the battery.
Also, why don't you try using the AC power?
Also did you flash the correct rom?
did you go to htc site and enter your IMEI number (under battery) to confirm correct ROM
Can you link the exact ROM you flashed?
What post two wanted to know is "is it a t mobile USA" version, and what rom exactly did you flash, because if it is a tmous, and you used a non tmous stock then the phone is dead.

if you have a Tmobile USA version, so it sounds like you may have flashed a stock ROM with a .51 radio in it, meaning you now have a paperweight, so let's make sure, can you tell us which ROM you flashed exactly?
edit: if you don't have a tmoible USA HD2 then lets look at a few more options here.

Would probably cost more than the phone...
there's plenty of advice on solutions, keep looking. it may well be you just need to take battery out and leave it for a while... can't see how a stock rom would brick it, unless you installed the incorrect rom...

his spot on, it wont relock so dont worry
there are various backup solutions for WM but you wont have a problem with SIM unlock, so it doesnt matter.
I was trying to root the device so i can get it updated from 2.2
I used Odin and tried recovery.tar file and now I'm getting a screen with a phone icon with a caution icon in the middle and a computer icon after it.
So I think I really messed it up
Any help
the thing is Odin is still connected
and no matter how much i try restarting whether in download mode or regularly same thing is still happening.
So if I can get some help would really appreciate it. I hope it can be restored

Does Odin still see the device? If it does, try to install the stock firmware. It may take some time to find it on the net. The first place I would try is here http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 and scroll down the page, put in your info in the drop down boxes and submit.
Thanks, Odin is still recognizing it
the original firmware was the ATT one
this Tab 2 has the 3G version
when I checked there I didn't see any one that was similar

It is a soft brick and is recoverable. Go to here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=752 and read all the stickies in the general and dev sections. Apparently, you will not find an at&t rom per se, but can flash a new rom and pit, there are some very good detailed instructions available, but first read, and read some more, and some more after that. Apparently, your type of tab had signed bootloader issues, so be careful which rom you load. Also, as I have suggested with my links, go to the correct forum. I'm pretty sure you have a sgh i987, (based on the fact you were running 2.2 on at&t), and not a tab2.

Ok got it on charging same screen as I told you about before that I attached earlier
I've looked for the ROM suggest Euro but no luck, the links were dead
And while typing those last few words it gone back off, so i'm guessing it can only be on for say 30 mins.
If I can get the ROM and install it via Odin then I can possibly get it restarted
Thanks

Ok, as I suspectef, you have the galaxy tab, not the tab 2, hence this is the wrong forum. Go to the forum I linked to, there are some stickies about rooting, recovery soft brick, etc. My understanding is that overcome rom or p1000 should work, but you must follow whatever odin procedures, etc. they use. Chainfire has a great post up about recovering, however the file links no longer work. Go there and ask if someone has the file(s) you need. This guy lists the files he used from sammobile http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=996970 You will not find the files in this forum, this is the wrong forum for your device, this is for tab 2 models 31xx and 51xx, yours is a p1000 branded.
