Remove fastboot + recovery using SwiftBootloaderBuilder, then flash regular KDZ.
First, put phone in fastboot and type:
Code:
fastboot -w
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
Don't reboot phone,
Use the 'remove fastboot+recovery option in SwiftBootloaderBuilder
When phone is about to reboot hold VOL DOWN.
Then flash regular KDZ in Download Mode.
Should have everything sorted

Is there a fastboot version 2.1 rom instead so I can flash it through cmd and type command
It doesnt have to cpw uk rom just V20a or b version

It would return you to 2.1 without fastboot, if you want fastboot, then flash this:
http://goo.gl/7aRTc (Carphone Warehouse, also some people have been unable to flash because of KDZ extract error.)
http://goo.gl/BOcYT (European Open)
I returned my phone with European Open on it before and they had no problems when I had to have a screen repair (on the old GT540 that I bricked)
But if you are returning to original ROM (for warranty repair, use my previous guide)
Thx

The phone , when it boots up the lg logo appears then it goes straight into fastboot any thoughts?
And a reminder it was on a 2.3.4 rom when it broke
Try erasing all partitions and re-flash recovery and your ROM.
Do the following:
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
Then flash recovery again (using fastboot flash recovery filename.img)
If that doesn't work, re-flash the Fastboot KDZ you used before in Download Mode.

The first option didn't work i will try the second but is their a particular rom i'm supposed to flash and is there a particular recovery as well

Just flash any fastboot KDZ, and any recovery, it doesn't matter
Jack
I did what you asked and this is what happened
13:08:45 : Launching SW update
13:08:45 : Unpacking KDZ
13:08:48 : KDZ file extraced
13:08:48 : Extract file error
13:08:50 : ===FINISHED===
Any thoughts?
Try different kdz Europe open is what I use but need a good download not a bad one I'd place a link but on phone about to fall asleep

Just keep trying different KDZs, also, run KDZ_FW_UPD as administrator (Right Click>Run as Administrator)
Jack
are you sure you have enough space on your hdd for the kdz to be unpacked?
Sent from my GT540
Yea i am sure I have 149gb left of 250gb
Still nothing is working
i don't know what to do
I will provide more of a description,
Basically i dropped the phone in water and then i waited for it to dry up it worked
and then when i turned it off and on again what i described to you in the first thread happened
So is it possible to fix given what I have just posted?
I've search the forums and couldn't find what I'm looking for.
what I want to do is restore my LG GT540 bac to 2.1 so that I won't have fastboot or CWM recovery.
is this possoble?
You can use cwm to recover and boot into fastboot. Now you flash boot appsboot.mbn of official ROM (kdz file). It is safe than kdz update. Sorry for bad English.
or flash any 2.1 stock rom and use mur4iks bootloader builder to remove recovery and fastboot

Technically, i read in that app's thread someone went back to stock to use the warantee
First, take your own risk!
Be sure you knwo what you are doing now and familiar with fastboot and your Xoom.
I am not responsible for anything.
The following founding are just proved to be work on my Xoom and I guarantee nothing.

Download the leaked rom
Extract the sbf using "MotoAndroidDepacker v1.3"
CG57.smg rename to recovery.img
CG58.smg rename to boot.img
CG59.smg rename to system.img
Issue the following command:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
Done.
Tried on my own Hong Kong Wifi version Xoom(MZ604).
Run smoothly.
can this be flash to canadian xoom ?
Probably can but I would probably wait for eos version with the good bits taken out....

Hi everyone !
My phone has recently shown a defect on the lower border of the touch screen. It's still less than one year so I will send it to google.
The thing is I have cyanogenmod installed, rooted etc. I am planning the restore the phone as it was brand-new: original rom, kernel...
I Have followed everything on the first comment of this post:http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/how-to-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2010312
Do you think that will be enough or I have to do something more in order to they won't realise i changed anything ?
Thank you all !
Last time I have sent my N4, I just restore the Stock Rom / Kernel, and lock the bootloader. Didn't have any issue.
Best advice would be to
Boot to recovery and make a full backup
Transfer this and anything else you want to PC
Reformat all in recovery (including SD data)
If you want to go overboard then format all with fastboot like such
fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
Then flash latest stock firmware through fastboot (run the flashall.bat)
Then lock bootloader
fastboot oem lock
Reboot , power off, send in for rma

Thanks man ! the only problem is that I don't know how to block my bootloader because I am not longer root user
"fastboot oem lock"
Don't need root, just connect the phone to your PC in fastboot mode and fire that command.

I was looking for a light 2.1 rom and found this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038337 (Lite edition)
Being a beginner, i got a few questions.
Do i need my phone flashed to V20E using .kdz beforehand? My current is V20B + fastboot.
There is kernel img provided, but iam not sure how to use it.
Which clockwork recovery do i need? As i understand 2.1 roms can only be flashed with old recoveries, such as 2.5.x.x . My current version is 3.0.2.4.
Thanks.
Img files can be flashed via fastboot commands:
on your PC type:
fastboot devices (makes sure its recognized)
fastboot -w (wipes data, cache)
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
You'll need the fastboot drivers to be installed of course
Tnx for fast reply.
But do i need V20E.kdz rom specifically and flash my phone with KDZ updater? I couldnt find working links for V20E.kdz, only A,B&C.
