I need a bit of help. I was having little niggles with jpd like the keyboard wouldnt go off screen when a new page was loading and when i finishing a call the screen wouldnt relight when i was moving from the proximity sensor so i flashed jpf instead. Iv re rooted. G3modded and overclocked and its running fine apart from my gallery isnt working. it just says loading images and the screen goes black and stays like that till i click back. Can anyone send me a link to a gallery apk so o can delete this one and redownload it. Thanks in advance

Tried it and it just keeps sayin application not installed. And my other gallery that doesent work wont show up in my system apps so i cant delete it aaaarrrggghh. I got this rom from samfirmware too

delete the galery.apk in system/app and then put there the galery.apk you downloaded from the link
As i said in my last post the gallery apk isnt showing up in the system apps so i cant delete wot wont show up. Dunno wot to do next

you can't instal it! you have to copy the apk to system/app

with root explorer. just press and hold the file, choose copy, navigate by back key, go to system/apps, mount as r/w, paste it there. I hope ur problem is solved by now.
Ok iv got the gallery app installed and showing in the app draw. But the original problem is ocurring. Click on gallery = black screen. Mite have to reflash with a different rom. I cant understant the problem as the rom is from samfirmware

download the deodexed system that frost did, search for it its here somewhere, and unzip the file pull the .apk's that you want and just copy them to the /system/app folder and that's it, all doable from your phone

Im rtooted with sideloading enabled and on a deodexed system. I was wondering if it were possible to install apk's. Id like to use stock gallery and mms along with other stock android apps. On my captivate it was as easy as dropping the apk into the system/app folder. Ive tried this and it didnt work so well.....anyone have any ideas if this is possible?

I've installed a couple apps via adb. adb install appname.apk
You could try emailing it to you and trying to open it, I haven't tried that on the Atrix tho
Thats what im trying to narrow down. Ive never installed adb on my computer. I want to learn...i know i saw somewhere in the atrix forums a how to install android sdk and how to use it somewhere.....anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello guys. I seems cannot install the convertion version of gb youtube to my stock 2.1. When i press install,the installing meter run,but after a while i got msg 'application not installed'. Any solution please tell me. Thanks in advance.

Hello man.
To start with a clear mind the youtube app can only be installed on 2.2+ but there's a way to work it around.
First you must be rooted, root explorer should be installed too.
In root explorer go to system/app
Mount r/w on the top right you'd find a button to do it, in this file u'd find the youtube app, delete it.
Now go back two times and enter the file data/data, also mount r/w , now search for the word tube here and then delete it.
Now u can install the latest youtube app

Download titanium back-up from the market..
Titanium back-up can do uninstall even system app..
Uninstall and install new one..

What Good is the eye candy if it takes ages just to load the pictures
Factory reset is a great way of getting the "new phone" feel. Frees up a ton of internal storage. Its best to take a backup, e.g. with Titanium backup, before doing reset.
Im on jpf rooted and overclocked and using g3mod extreme. ill try that other gallery and see if it works then il report back cos i think it could be buggy firmware

I just went to data>dalvik cache and deleted everything in it and restarted my phone...
Everything is working fine just none of the galleries are working i have tried installing other too......

Try to flash via odin or try ES file explorer
uninstall it. n place, new gallery apk to system app & search for the apk which is suitable for 2.3.7 gb

Go to root of your directory (i.e. "/") using root explorer. And then go to system>apps...find gallery.apk there and delete it. Then download suitable gallery.apk from google, place it in system>apps folder. Then change permissions to rw-r-r and restart your phone.
There are many good galleries on store : quickpic,fishbowl, gallery ics and u gallery are my recommendations for you
