So I have a mytouch 4g that is bricked and have been looking for a broken mt4g to replace the motherboard. Except all the mt4g's that are being sold for a decent price either have water damage or are bricked themselves. I was just wondering what the motherboard flex cable consists of? If I were to get one and put it in my mt4g would it fix a failed put???

too bad they don't have any replacement trackballs.
the one's I've ordered from other sites have been really dark and discolored.
The trackball from a blackberry such as the old curve or Pearl ie. 8320 or 8120 is the same trackball as the nexus you can pick them up for free at a t-mobile corporate store if they have them in stock. I got two from the store I work at and replaced mine and have another for future replacement.

Sorry for the bump, but my LED flash just died, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere...I know it's its own little module, but I've only seen it packaged together with the flex cable assembly (considering emailing the htcrepairparts website folks and asking if they somehow sell it separately). Anyone have any ideas?

I verified. Thanks.
Anyone know where I can find a cheaper than usual LCD assembly for this phone? I'd rather not pay 70+ for the assembly. Had a little accident involving a minivan, and several sandhill cranes.
Note: The LCD still works, just need the assembly. I already have a spare digitizer.
Can anybody help me? Lol I really need this fixed.

Okay, since no one felt like chiming in, I bought the whole second half of the surround for around $ 100.

I'm going to the t-mobile shop tomorow, I don't want to disassemble my phone. Way to risky I think
Do you think I have to unroot and s-on again?

I had this problem. Sent it in to T-mo and they replaced it with a refurb for free.
You'll have to unroot before sending it back.

If you go to a local repair shop they ll fix it for around 50
I have a dead mt4g with a bad eemc (confirmed) that is out of warranty, due to my self repair of the digitizer twice. I've replaced the phone already.
The back cover is clean, the chrome is a little worn, and the LCD and digitizer are good. All buttons are good. The eemc died Monday after a mass cleanup on the phone and the phone won't turn on, and when on USB, asks for a QHSUSB_DLOAD.
I'm asking all in one, as I don't really want to rip the phone apart again. Email in my profile.

I think hes talking about the chargerport
So I had to send my phone in to HTC to get it repaired. Ended up being told it was an issue with the motherboard, so they had to replace that. In another thread I was told the motherboard would also replace my eMMC chip.
I don't have a warranty through T-Mobile, so I can't get that, and I was told HTC extends the warranty for another 90 days.
If I do end up getting the bad eMMC, will HTC replace the phone for free (if it fails)?
Thanks
They should, but be wary as they charge like a 30$ fee if they just receive it then send it back
