Samsung's big announcement on the 29th? - Vibrant General

A tweet from SamsungMobileUS said this,
"Samsung Update: Hey Guys! Big announcement on the 29th #samsungmobileupdates http://smgm.us/xZK"
What do ya think of could be!!? Do think it could be gb for Vibrant! Or something else??

Probably sgs2 variants for the US. They don't care about vibrant owners anymore.

prolly gs2 launch dates for us carriers

Nothing important :-/ just sgs2

Infuse variant? I think you know not what.you're talking about. Infuse is still sgs based, not sgs 2.

Im not too sure if the Hercules will have the same processor as the original gs2 or other us variants..
This one will not be a dual core and oversized like the infuse..
But hey the name 'galaxy' is a selling point..

How do you know it wont be a dual core? I mean, that's the entire selling point of the sgs 2.
Edit : im not.saying.the.hercules will.have a tegra 2/exynos, but I'm pretty sure its supposed to have a dual core.

Samsung epic Samsung Tablet???

Ok so I was thinking, if froyo isn't being released for the epic, but the samsung tablet is coming out with 2.2 would it be possible to just take the kernel and everything necessary to run 2.2 on the epic. And maybe write some other scripts and things to make it work? Or is that just too impossible? If so I think I might be able to stop by the sprint store that my buddy manages and use their equipment to pull some things.
Apologies for posting in the wrong section if I did.

I think that Samsung has promised Froyo on all Galaxy s variants to date. The problem is that we will likely be the last to get it.:-(
The real question is Gingerbread. I suspect that the sheer volume of Galaxy S subscribers globally will get it, but because we don't have the numbers, we may not.

Then that will just be another mark against samsung and in a since sprint. Would be enough to insure most never buy samsung again and might even push people onto diffrent carriers for their phones

And the tablet is pretty much a bigger sized phone sans the phone and SAMOLED. Kinda like this:

They only promised Froyo, unless you have sources that we don't have. Gingerbread is still uncertain.
It looks like the community may have to do it. It shouldn't shock anyone really. Either we won't get or when we get it, it will be so late that the next version of Android will be out.

I've found it to be anything but sluggish. I updated straight away to 2.3.3 and found the phone to be quite fast, but even running 2.3.2 which I've currently got installed I've found it to be quite fast also.
Paul O Brien rates it as one of the best phones on the market today.. so you clearly don't know how to use your phone properly.
I have a galaxy SII (apparently the fastest phone out there) and the arc as well...I dont know what lag u r talking abt...they are as fast as the other..
the only diff is in web browsing...where the GSII is much smoother in rendering and moving around the page...otherwise no diff at all..
and oh yeah...please dont say my SGII is running slow..its OC to 1.5ghz n all...so...
the arc being a single core device..is currently on par with double core devices in general day use...
You can wait for a Quadcore processor with 4 GB RAM coming soon ...

Seriously what's the point of this thread?
You kept it in one side? Don't bother to use? Ok, fine. You don't have to let us know!! It's your phone after all .

I scanned through the review of this latest issue of smartphone essentials in a local supermarket. "Also this month we review the Samsung Galaxy S II and ask, “Is this the best smartphone ever?”
They gave it .......

There is no competition with the GS2 it is most certainly the best there is despite the nonsense spouted by the ever more tragic Apple fanboys.

Reviewers still haven't figured out that holding the menu button brings up search. This is the case with Galaxy S 1 as well. How do people with such limited technical knowledge get these jobs?

Does Samsung own that particular Facebook page? It seems rather odd they would announce a 'sequel' to a product a few scant months after the first version of it was released...

2013 is a year away guy...
http://www.facebook.com/SamsungGALAXYNote?sk=info
Seems kind of fishy, considering there are only 23k fans of the page. With 2 million phone sales you'd think there would be more. But then again, big companies like to take down unathorized FB pages that could do the brand damage. Seems like a weird way to spill the beans though
Nice information...
Yes, but announcing the next version of a product a few months after the first version has been released will destroy the first version's sales... It's like Apple releasing the iphone 4s, then 2 months later revealing the iphone5 with much better specs. Who is going to want to get locked into a contract when they know the bigger and better is coming out a year later?

FAKE ehehehe... Why would they release FB page for a 2013 product?
FAKE for sure. The graphics are terrible; they've been copied from the web somewhere in low res, probably converted to jpg and modified. Look at the white space around the pics; it's full of pixelated artifacts. Total amateur fake.
