Yes this is a driver problem. Reinstall all usb drivers or install samsung kies if you havent already as the drivers come with kies anyway. Then make sure you have flashed an insecure kernel before attempting to unroot. Hope this helps.

yes man thank you, i must flash an insecure kernel to unroot.
Now I will flash an secure kernel, an put the jig to reset the counter, it`s enough for waranty to be valid?

No you would need to make sure the firmware is stock as well not just the kernel .
jje

what about the superuser, do you need to delete that app before you unroot or will it delete in the unroot process?
also can you use the jig after you unroot or does it have to happen before?

I did the folowings:
Unroot
Flashed the I9100XWKDD_Kernel.TAR
put the jig
And finish .. is enough for waranty?

When someone flash a new ROM/the same ROM the device had, it will automatically un rooted. Then you could use the Jig to Reset the ROM counter. You are clear for warranty then.
Regards.

Ok, thank you. But what about the superuser app?
1. Shall i delete that before the unroot process?
2. Does it delete during the unroot?
3. Or, can i delete it afterwards?

Rooting/unrooting

I just make a simple tutorial for rooting and unrooting in another post here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22963897&postcount=117
Maybe little bit different but it works..
I'm SGT 8.9 user, but i have friend need my help for rooting his SGT P6800
so i implement the rooting process just like 8.9 do..
here is the method
For Rooting:
Download the root_original.zip from the attachment..
Transfer the attached file root_original.zip to the EXTERNAL SDCARD
Go To recovery menu, and choose "install update from external storage"
Choose root_original.zip with power button until it finish (apx 30 seconds)
Reboot
Install Superuser from market, run once..
Install Busybox Installer from market, then install busybox (if you need it just install, if not, dont do that)
Done..You just root
For Unrooting:
Uninstall Busybox with proper uninstaller if you use it (becarefull, some version will break your wifi module)
Uninstall superuser from Settings--application--manage application
Download the unroot_original.zip from the attachment..
Transfer the attached file unroot_original.zip to the EXTERNAL SDCARD
Go To recovery menu, and choose "install update from external storage"
Choose unroot_original.zip with power button until it finish (apx 30 seconds)
Reboot
Done.. You just Unroot..
Notes: Unrooting process only works with rooting process as mentioned above..
if you rooting from another file unrooting will works.. But you still need wipe and manually uninstall busybox if the root file include with it....
hope this help someone..
This is my reason why i dont include busybox in my root file package
1.Incompatibility issues between busybox version...
2.you dont use that too much, what kind operation you do with this tool for a month,,except if you dev.. You know well what you must to do.. Even softbrick, you dont use that..
3. Unrooting became complicated for me..
So, its your choice guys..
+1 is a gift for me if this post help you..
nice to meet u here

Both of recovery recognized the script for rooting, the output is same..CWM is something we need coz it has ability to write and backup to a whole partition...
After rooting, do you get a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark when you boot the device like the one on the galaxy s2? If yes, will the unrooting method above remove it?
Thanks
The rooting process doesnt intact with recovery partition or kernel partition, so triangle not appear because this process..
there is no correlation between unrooting with removing triangle exclamation,..
This is my assumption..
Triangle exclamation is a warning that your current kernel or (maybe recovery) not an officially release by Samsung..
To remove triangle just replace your custom with official release and your 3Angle will disappear..
thanks for the answer, the reason why I asked is because there is counter that Samsung uses that shows how many times u rooted your device, just like in the galaxy s2, and that will definitely void my warranty.

No my friend, binary counter will count when you using odin with custom kernel/firmware through download mode..
In SGS 2 and galaxyNote has same method for this..
so....in this binary counter case..if we use ODIN to flash the official samsung firmware, the counter will not detect...am i right??
and another question, if i flash custom firmware through ODIN and later on i flash back to the official firmware for warranty purpose, does the counter will be reset??
*thnxs in advance for your reply~

First : In SGS2 and galaxy Note case the answer is yes.. Your counter still 0, im not sure with p6800.. post your download mode screen here for make sure..
Second: you cannot reset the counter with flashing official firmware.. You need usb jig or something similar with that to reset the counter..please read thread from gnote or Sgs2..
ok..thnxs..will do later..soon after i've downloaded

Has anyone try rooting their 7.7 with SuperOneClick v2.3.3?
Nope, maybe you can try.. But i think it wont work cause the exploit only works on 2.2 and 2.3 devices..
Halo friend,
would this be safe on the Verizon tab 7.7?
Terimah kasih
I dont know, never try this on verizon device, maybe you can try it..
Aman kok, jika gagal proses root akan berhenti tanpa pengaruh ke device..
went ahead and pulled the trigger....
and all is well....

r u used folder mount or gl2sd or link2sd??
if no, then try... you will get bootloop or restart problem...
actually reboot problem happens when we mount system partion...
so to fix this issue, we should apply reboot fix given by our xda developers....

I can’t get root on Acro S JB :/ , why ?

Weird semi-root situation.

Hi guys,
Yesterday i have rooted a friend's phone with a laptop using the RootGenius application and all worked perfectly and the root is working good.
EDIT: I've tested other root apps on my friend's phone and it's the same problem. So that app didn't rooted correctly.
After that, i rooted my phone wich is a Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition (i9505) and...well, something went wrong there. After the root, all the programs were stopping working. The installed programs were not available and i couldn't open almost any app. I did a factory reset and now it's working fine, but...the root acces it's a little bit f****d up.
If i check the root with Root Checker, it says that i have root access. The superuser app is called KingUser and i never heard of this app.
Now, here comes the problem: if i want to use a root-needed app like GameCIH, for example, i grant the root access, but i can't use the app, it says that i don't have a rooted phone...
I can use the XMODGAMES app wich is also a root-needed app, but i want to use all the root apps, 'cause why not?
I tried to install SuperSU. When i open it, it says that i need to update SU binaries. I press normal, because i don't have a custom recovery and then i grant root acces and then it says: Failed, reboot the phone and try again. I rebooted it a few times and no succes, the same thing.
So what should i do?
Should i unroot it and then re-root it?
If yes, how?
Thanks.
Have a nice day.
Why not just use CF auto-root for flashing. Easiest method and never fails.
Unroot and reroot using CF-Autoroot. Search for the CF-Autoroot thread to learn how it's done.
Be aware however that this will trip the Knox flag.

Thanks, I will try to do that. But what means that it will trip Knox flag?
We have an entire thread on Samsung's Knox software on the forum, but in short the flag is a means for Samsung to tell the phone's firmware has been tampered with.

So i didn't find anything on how to unroot with cf-auto-root for android 5.0.1....
Can i root it over the root that it has right now?
I mean just root it again by following this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219803

This situation is beyond me
How can I remove the KingUser app?
Now i was trying to install CWM Recovery someway to be able to update su binaries trhu it with SuperSu.
Can i add you on Facebook or Steam or Skype or whatever to help me faster?
Or can you send me a detailed step-by-step thing to help me faster..?
Thanks
You can remove King user by clicking on the icon, hold it en move it to the left upper corner ,where it'saing delete app or something like that in Dutch it's "installatie ongedaan maken"
At first root whith Chainfire ,don't use CWM but TWRP 2.6.0.0? Search for it,and dont use TWRP 2.8.5.0.

That's why i said it's trouble, the only sollution to remove it is factory reset, root again and custom recovery, use this time TWRP much easier ,just touch and spare the volume rockers
Sorry,didn't know it's removable that way...says enough i think...
The factory reset dont unroot, i factory reseted and the phone is still in that trouble.
And with the recovery? Can i install TWRP now?
Ok so i figured out what i've done: I have installed Philz Recovery which is a CWM recovery 6 with touch version and it works via an app that boots into recovery (root app that fortunattely worked as root). So what do i need to do now?
If i open SuperSu it says that it needs to update the su binary. When i tap normal it fails and then i tap cwm/twrp, it dosen't do anything, even if i boot into recovery mode. Do i need to install a zip SU-BB? I did it and it didn't work. Any other ideas?

Your information is outdated. TWRP is already on 2.8.7.0 and it's the only one that should be used. Do not use old version because it will give you conflicts with Lollipop.

What you need to do:
- If you are on the latest Philz just perform a full wipe. Reflash the rom. And do what I told you.
