No voicemail notifications - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

I am on O2 network in UK. I have no idea if I have a voicemail as I get no notifications or icons anywhere in the OS. I just have to randomly call my voicemail once a day to see if I have any messages.
Anyone else? How can I fix this. Am running Mango beta 1.

HTC Hero Orange No voicemail notification

Hi this probably sounds a completely wierd fault hope someone can advise!
I am running HTC HERO 2.1 on orange on build 3.32.405.2
I've just noticed i am not getting voicemail notifications (the little tape reel symbol)
Just checked my voicemails on orange and i have 5 new voicemails going back weeks.
I've checked all the obvious settings on settings but doesn't seem any config issues.
Would be grateful if anyone can help!
Thanks
On Vodafone Holland you only get an SMS as voicemail notification. Maybe you need to change the Orange vm settings to get SMS as notification.

Im Vodafone Uk and i dont get a notification, just a text
I changed the settings on Vodafone voicemail. You can choose for a voicemail icon instead of an SMS as notification. Still only getting an SMS. It doesn't seem to work eitherway.

make sure you listen to the whole voicemail before ending the call. or just delete the damn thing.
I had this on my Touch Pro2, it turns out it was a damaged SIM card!
Damn damaged similar card?

Did you try pulling down the notification bar and pressing the clear button
G2 cm6.1.1
Call your number. Save a voicemail, then listen and delete it. I had this problem and doing this worked for me.
There is no clear button when I pull it down. I logged out of gv and switched my vm settings to my carrier. The tape icon is for regular vm. When I leave a message it doesn't register. They keep getting stored in gv. If I sign into gv they are all there.
God this is frustrating..
I did put in my old sim card to copy over my phone numbers, could that have anything to do with it?

I had this issue before. I called my carrier and they reset my voicemail inbox which solved it for me.

This, please people - use common sense, its a network issue, not hardware. Call TMO and tell them your MWI is stuck

Google voice sluggish notifications

How many of you guys use Gvoice as your text messaging client? I just ported my number over to Gvoice a couple weeks back and I dont know if its tmobiles 3g but it doesnt update and notify me of new messages right away. If i reboot the phone I will then be notified of a missed call and voicemail or sms.
I though after the 2.3.3 update it would be fixed because of that whole sudden loss of data but it just happened again today.
Anyone have a similar issue?

Make sure you have background synching on and.... you have it set in the voice settings so everything goes smoothly.
Rooted/ROM Captivate (For Sale)
Rooted Atrix
Ok cool, thank you!

I see this sometimes on the nexus one. Not always though. Usually voice texts and messages come right away, and sometimes they are delayed. I have to go into Google voice, hit refresh, then they all come thru. Guess its a bug.
Im on constant edge when not at home and keep auto sync off and background data on. I still get them all on time.
I love free texting!

If your signal strength indicator is green on a Nexus S, then you have a C2DM connection with Google's servers, and can receive push notifications. If it is white, then the connection is dead, and your notifications are being queued.

Texting problem anyone?

I seem to have some texting problems... after receiving a text when I text back right away for some reason my replies pop up before the message I just eceived. Ie. Msgs arent in chronological order. Its not much but jus annoying. Anyone else with the same problem?

Sounds like a problem with the clock. Do you have Network Provided Time checked?
