I can't download anything from the market....says download declined

Correction...its an app that I uninstalled and can't get it back
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Try switching to a WiFi network and see if will let you download it then. ATT has some funky rules setup that restrict some app downloads from the market. On WiFi the market treats the phone as any other device.
If all else see if you can download the app outside of the market and side load it.

Well seems as my WiFi chip is having technical difficulties. When I open the browser on WiFi it says page unavailable but when I turn it off load it on 3g and start WiFi again it works. Same thing with MySpace Xda browser market. Any have this problem or found a fix?

Mine always goes to page unavailable when I'm on wifi for the home page, but not any other pages. The home.web2go.com / m.web2go.com pages authenticate your phone over cell only, since tmo doesn't trust wifi to send your account details over (with good reason.)

I had two updatede apps today. They downloaded fine but won't install. Don't know if it's a Market issue or something with my device. Any ideas?

Ok. New apps will download and install but still have the issue with updating apps.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
Usually an uninstall and then reinstall fixes apps that don't update.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
Tried that. Also cleared Market cache and data. Done several reboots.

Read in another thread that it could be an issue with Google servers. Has anyone heard anything?

It is a google problem, the same thing is happening on the hero Just wait for them to fix is probably the only thing we can do right now
Same thing has been happening to me. I have just been clicking the update and then immediately clicking on the name of the app I just downloaded and watching the download and install meter and it works for me everytime.

The issue was with apps on the memory card. Had to move them to phone memory, update, then move them back to the card. Annoying.

Moving apps back and forth isn't working today for updates.

Could Google have made changes to the Market ahead of Gingerbread?

Possible, maybe why they're having market issues
Not sure it's the Market now. Since I couldn't get Angry Birds to updated I tried getting it at GetJar. That wouldn't install either.
Sent from my rooted DROID2 using XDA App
Ok. Completely lost. ROM Manager successfully updated but Angry Birds still won't.

I'm having almost the same issues. It started yesterday when I accidentally unistalled the wrong app. When I went on to market to re-download it and found it sat in the ongoing downloads going nowhere along with several others. I cancelled them and started them again one by one. They all downloaded and then failed to install. After that they all appeared in the downloads list but say "FREE" next to them instead of "Installed".
I know that, apart form the first app, all of them are definitely installed. Rebooting the phone made no difference. I also removed the memory card to see if that helped. At that point I managed to install the first app.
I put the SD card back in and the problem returned. Most of the apps I have installed on the SD card only appear in my downloads list intermitently, and I still can't install or update anything from the market with the SD card in the phone. I also am having issues re-installing backups and non-market apk's.
Have I done anything to the phone to make it do this or is this a Google issue? I'm using a rooted T-Mobile UK desire on stock 2.2 with ModInstallLocation set to external.
Thanks for any help or advice.
I also get Free instead of Installed.

And now new apps won't install.

Ok. Was able to update apps and install one new app. Still can't get other apps to install. At this point I'm open to crazy possibilities.

It's still the server issues, until Anroid 2.3 is out this will probably be a problem
I hope I don't have to wait for 2.3 given how long it takes Verizon to release an update.

Went to check on the Blockbuster app and its says its fianlly working, haven't tried it yet though.

"Sorry, the Blockbuster server cannot be found. Please make sure your device is connected to a data network (3G or Wi-Fi) and try again."
....... nope. haha
Kinda sucks..... i like Netflix for their FREE streaming with subscription.... but hate that they have delayed new movie releases. I like Blockbuster's online rental service due to getting new movies right away.... but they charge like $3-4 for one streaming movie. It's also nice that blockbuster has game rentals.... but lame that you have to wait like 3-6 months apparently before any of the new games are even available, but from my friend's experiences, GameFly isn't that reliable either.
*sigh*
Not working for me. Says need network connection and i have full bars not to mention im on wifi.

It was working for me for a minute. Where it usually says will be working in so and so days, it went straight to a.screen where it said thankyou for trying the app and they will let you try 1 movie free I guess. I just opened.the app again and your right now it says, the wifi 3g message. I should of tried to sign up when it was supposedly working.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
It now says working! "Download in the android market" im trying it now.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I have downloaded the first version of the Blockbuster app 2.0.37. It will let you download the app from the market, but when you open the app it goes to a connection error message, saying it needs to be connected by 3G,4G, or WiFi. I then tried using WiFi to use it and it said it is connecting but then gives another error message saying carrier undefined? . Is this app ever going to be up and running!
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I get the data error also, but not before first getting an error code 12012. Anyone else get that?
Yes! Finally got past all those error messages when trying to open the new Blockbuster app. First had to go to Blockbuster.com to register for a account, credit card ect. ,after you do that, you are supposed to verify your account with a numeric code they give you. Then your device will say activating, then brings you right to the Blockbuster App online store. Before the app went online it said on the advertisement app page that Atrix owners would get 1 or 2 free rentals, when the app starts working. I wonder how we get those free rentals? I will try it out now and post results, should stream well im guessing because of the Atrix's high res screen.

I get a tamper detected as root error: This device will not be able to download or plaback Wdieine ecrypted content.
So it looks like if your rooted you will not be able to use this app.

Ya I guess not, iam not sure if the Blockbuster app works with root. I just did a return and have not done the update yet, and it is now final working for me!
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I don't think it really detects root right. I had rooted my phone but did the update and lost root. I still have the super user icon but any programs that require root don't work, yet I still get the error with the Blockbuster app that says root was detected. Pretty weak.

Who else finds the new market slow and laggy? I prefer the old one. Is there any way to go back to the old one without changing roms?

Market always sucked for me.. takes forever to load, and displays a blank page most of the time... complete garbage.
Go to manage applications, select the market app and select uninstall updates .

in addition to the uninstalling of the updates, you should also to block the market updater (with apps like titanium backup). if not, your market will update itself everytime.
Is there any other way to get the old market back because uninstalling the updates is still the same market.

Can't say I've had any problems.
Market just updated again to v.3.1.5 on KG3. No lag for me.

It seems to be worse for me lately, although given that I seem to change ROMs every other day, maybe I just haven't noticed it so much before. But often I too get a blank page when trying to install apps, or otherwise have general unresponsiveness. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference, but perhaps try clearing the data for the market app? However, I've basically resorted to doing push installations from the market at the Android website, seems to be the only reliable way to install apps for me lately
It's slow for loading the pics (which is pretty much the entire thing), but once those load, it's fast and responsive for me. I as well prefer the old one.
For those who can't use the "uninstall updates" to roll back their market version to 2.x.x you can try this:

Just be careful what and where you download apps and you should be fine. Also watch the permissions you allow for every app. For example a flashlight app doesn't need access to your contacts, storage or internet. These kind of apps you should stay away from.

No. Ppl get viruses from installing apk from Internet from unknown users. App store is fine just some apps quality sucks. So as long as you stick to dl apps from playstore and you don't dl unknown stuff from unknown sources you'll be fine
