There's a little white box I like to use. It's called search.
Guys, comon...i just asked a simple question, i looked at all the awailable roms from the thread that has them all in one place but it's no longer supported, sorry but i couldn't find what o was looking for
And as for cm7, i find it so difficicult to understand what's working and what's not, it doesn't have a list of non working things in it's thread
Just please link me to the best 2.2 aosp rom with a camera and i'm good
Also if cm7 is fully operational, of course i'll try it
It's not for my phone, it's for a girl so things have to work without a hitch
Thanks for your understanding

Read my keyboard: CM7
Openfire might be what you are looking for. It's a 2.2 ROM, so in my opinion not as good as Cyanogen which is 2.3 but it is clean and fast. If you haven't already, try CyanogenMod. Latest nightly build is 2.3.4, very fast and a good ASOP ROM.

OpenFire has no video recording.
flash CM 7.0.2
this rom fully working (including camera app)
I haven't found anything that doesn't work except my GPS, But I just flashed the right radio and it was fixed.
Many other features, fast, no sense bloat, Lots of space.

I run Mur4ik's version of 2.2 called Swiftdroid's Littlebrother. It is based on CM6 and is VERY stable. You can get it from my mediafire account below.

Hi all
I see genokolar's latest cm7 rom for u8800 can't be used with franco's kernel. I use this combo now, on the v11118 rom. No doubt this'll get sorted soon, but...
If I want to update to 111128 now, or if this incompatible issue happens again, what can I do?
Does the geno cm7 rom include a "default" kernel?
If not, what other kernel options are there? Seems to be very few in the u8800 dev forums, and nothing seems to be actively maintained (note, not u8800pro!). Should I return to the stock kernel? And if so, how?
Thanks to all for the great work going on here, my u8800 would have been swapped for something else if it hadn't been for the awesome dev work being done.
every rom has its kernel...
thanks mate
At first, my phone went almost brick. Booted only without battery, in charger. So then I was able to change back to the original rom. After that, every custom rom I try, shows at notification "no connection" and there is a question mark on the battery. Whats wrong with this phone?
edit: Oxygen is working. Cm7 and Miui are not. They wont even ask pin code, which I think is the cause...
.32 or. 35 kernel? In otherwords have you updated to official gingerbread?

Btw, same thing happened to me. Also thought that i had bricked my phone, but got it unbricked using 2.3.5 official with cord plugged.

It says 2.6.32.9. So I should update 2.3 and then flash custom rom?
Other choise is that you could install .32 version of cm7 at the moment it is most stable cm7.

Look for 111128-32final it is in development section. .32 kernel is not working in new cm7 & miui releases.

Thanks a lot, just upgraded official gingerbread and then flashed miui, works nice!
No problem, we all are here to help. I have been helped so many times that I want to help when ever I can. ^^

Ok, I think the title is clear enough but, I'd like to know if there are any MIUI ROMs for the Motorola Defy Plus with a 2.3 (GB) Kernel. Thing is, I have Quarx's CM9 on Multiboot but I'd love to try ICS MIUI on it, but I understand I have to flash Froyo Kernel but don't know what would that do to my CM9 I'm so in love with.
I've searched all the threads on xda and the web but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
Thanks!
Unfortunately Currently there is no miui build that works on gb kernel.

Thanks for the reply! Is there another rom that I should try? I don't really know about another interface for 4.0 but it would surely be great if there were one.
Edit: I have another question, is there a way to install a froyo kernel on multiboot so i can keep cm9 (GB) on my default boot? I already have multiboot but I'm not sure if flashing wiui, for example, will damage the other rom.
Look at the miui ics thread by sesme

Well as far as I know multi boot requires same kernel for the roms. I don't know if any recent development has changed it. You may check multi boot thread.
