my aria with cm6 froyo doesnot sync with htc symc on my laptop

i just rooted my aria and flashed with latest cm6 froyo, then downloaded the latest htc sync on my laptop window 7, updated all the drivers needed but can not sync with that htc sync. when i connect my aria via usb, the phone shows usb connected, usb debugging mode checked, i can go to sd card from the laptop but WHEN i open htc sync on laptop it just shows "no device connected", and i just don't know where to go from there. anyone got the same problem or know how to fix this to make the htc sync recognize my aria, please help, thanks alot

Did you check off HTC sync option on the phone, normally there's 3 options,
1. charge Only
2. HTC sync
3. Disk Drive (or something like that)

I don't think you can use htc sync with cm6.

This. HTC Sync only works if you're using an HTC rom. With CM6 you just back your stuff up using google's account sync.

so, what you guys are saying is htc sync only works with stock aria rom, not modified rom like cm6 or liberated froyo sense, right? all i need is syncing musics and apps from computer to phone, is there any software that does that without hassle? thanks

Just mount your SD card. Its not that hard and you can mount while in cm6.

HTC Sync works fine with any HTC Rom, including liberated ROMs.
CM6 is based off AOSP - ie: free of any HTC additions like sense or sync

hey everyone....I downloaded cmy's blacktopia rom for my HD2. I was wondering which version of HTC Sync i should be running on my computer in order for it to properly recognize the ROM on my phone? Can anyone help me out? Thanks!!!

What version pc do you have, windows version?

i have windows 7

i was wondering , i am a windows mobile user with loads of stuff on MS Outlook 2007 and wish to migrate to Android?
i wish to migrate Calendar, Contacts and Tasks, if possible.. or does HTC sync does that for us?

HTC Sync should sync everything, but not sure that it will be able to find your HD2 using Android installed in SD...

HTC Sync does recognise the HD2 running Android. Mine shows up as a Desire as I'm running Desire based android.
Doesn't sync tasks tho.

You can export all your Outlook info as CSV, then go to your Gmail account and upload everything It will show up on your phone later.

It should let ya migrate from outlook to G-Calendar, then all the stuff will magicaly appear on your phone

htc sync on my computer doesnt work. i dont get an option on android to choose the connection type (there is normally a popup window) i have tried setting it manually but it didnt make a difference. windows detects the phone but htc sync doesnt

how about using other softwares like Companion Link and all those other sync softwares..

Im having a similar problem on my computer....when I am running HTC Sync on computer and I have it hooked up to the computer; after i have selected the connection type, it says it cant find HTC sync on my computer....am I doing something wrong here?

yeah, mine is the same way, when i click the connection type on my phone, and i select htc sync, it searches for it, but then tells me it cant find it on my computer....even tho I have HTC Sync open....

Hello folks,
I've a HTC Wildfire and I want need some stuff being synced but me phone won't find HTC Sync on my PC. What is a possible way to fix this? I already tried reinstalling.

Cyamogenmod isn't compatible with HTC sync You have to use an other sync software

[Q] Sync Music HTC HD2

Is any way to sync music on htc hd2? And is it posible to connect phone with usb cable and copy music files on sd card. I use windows7,8 on htc hd2 and windows 8 on my Laptop and when i put mobile with usb cable on laptop nothing hapend, in "my computer" there is no new drive...Thx for helping

It only avaible on your phone install Windows Phone and Your Computer install Zune

Zune for win os. If you decide to run android Google Music is great for that. Allows you to sync your music to a cloud server saving you valuable space.
