Guys well I have started to port some of the installable themes for Sense 2.1 from the higher end phones (HDPI), but all I have done is resized them. I need help building the actual installable app for the theme. If any of you have some extra time to guide me through the procces or build the app, I would gladly give you the resized images

.:MIUI Style Theme:. Beta 1.
(Note: for the MIUI 0.9.30 rom only)
I'd just like to say that most of the images in this theme I did not create/make/manufacture (though i have edited some). I cannot remember where they came from (various users I imagine), but if you recognize any of them as your own or know who they belong to, please post or PM me or something and ill give credit where it is due.
This theme is a compilation of all the icons and backgrounds and stuff that I have enjoyed the most from themes on XDA. They complement the MIUI Rom very well.
Things that it is missing and that I am working on:
- Super Circle Battery MOD (preferred versions are C or I)
- Skinned the other apps throughout the Rom.
At the moment it is mainly icons and backgrounds.
Also, i have removed the backgrounds on certain icons so they look more appealing against a transparent status bar, and some of these icons (noticeably the APN data transfer icons (E,G,3G,H)) look jagged.
This is my first theme (if it can even be called a theme), and i probably don't know what I'm doing. So if you don't like it, just don't download it.
If you want it to be compatible with another Rom, let me know and ill attach a framework-res.zip for it.
If you want certain icons from another theme in it, also let me know, and ill update it.
That's about it, I think.
Chow,
Josh.

Sorry, I guess I should have said - its for the MIUI rom only.

How to put a sense to a rom non sense ? can some one help me !
Thanks
Why would you wanna do that? they use different build frameworks so I doubt that is possible
Sorry, this has been address alot basically its not going to happen htc wrote sense very deeply into android (that's y it always takes them so long to update). Its a very complicated procedure that no dev has bothered with and sense is closed source.. Basically if its not a sense build it won't be.. Sorry
swyped from my HD2 Android
You will need to replace your Non-Sense build with a Sense build....
Or you will need to replace your non sense with some sense..lol

IF you just want the sence widget download fancy widget. it will give you that sence style clock and weather look.
I've been doing searches in all the Desire Z forums and I couldn't find anything about installing HTC sense and all its goodies on CM7. Is it possible? I just got my Desire Z today so I'm still making attempts at learning the ins and outs of android.
EDIT: doing some extra searching off XDA, it seems that because of HTC's extensive work on the rom itself, it will not work with CM. I guess I'll have to pick and choose... that would lead to me wondering what alternative can I get to get as much flexibility as CM and still have sense....

HTC Sense is closedsource while CyanogenMod is based on ASOP.

What parts of sense were you wanting. There lots of apps you can use that can give you a sense look. If you want sense style widgets download launcher pro plus. You can theme the dock bar to look like the sense dock.
Use beautiful widgets to get the sense clock and weather, including the weather animations when you unlock the phone.
Have a look in the general android themes section for a theme that has just been released for the built in CM7 theme chooser and it will make you notifaction bar look like sense.
Hope this helps

Ok, i'll look into all of that. I finally took the leap from my old touchpro to android, so im starting from scratch and back in square newbie.
The main thing that i wanted was the ability to link contacts to facebook as well a "favorites" that works like HTCs widgets. Im also still looking for a voice command app that does not access the internet so that it will work purely off my contact list. I loved the winmo voice command as to how it structured the responses and im looking for something like that
Launcher pro plus has the ense style widgets,.... and there is an app to run from pc that syncs contacts with facebook. Google "android facebook contact sync", if you dont have any luck finding it, drop me a pm, i'll have a butchers for you tonight or tomorrow when i can.

I'll check it out. Now I just have to find a way to transfer contacts and sms/mms from winmo to android
Heya, did a quick search on market and couldn't find the app to sync contacts with facebook...
All the tools you need are now available. Opensense SDK, unlock bootloader (aint working) and kernal source code.
Heres to some fab ROMs heading are way!
does this mean the htc widgets would be usable in launcher pro or similar?

I could be wrong but I believe that the HTC Widgets require the HTC Framework in order to run. So if you are thinking HTC widgets in Cyan or MIUI....then forget it...never gonna happen!!
I kinda think that is one of the reasons that Cyan & MIUI were developed though for those who don't necessarily want to run Sense. You want Sense widgets?...then run a Sense ROM.
Cheers,
Jaybo

Agreed Sense needs HTC propriatey drivers and framework files and as long a CM refuses to use good drivers for the devices that they were made for it will never happen
the point is that really cool stuffs are coming for sense roms
I have been wanting to change out these icons and the background (color) of this menu but am not sure where each image (including background) is located. If anyone could provide me any info and point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Sense 1.0 - 2.1 are in Rosie.apk, res/drawable-hdpi
Sense 3.0+ may be the same but no promises, m10 files are pretty goofy.
I know there are other threads here about this. I remember seeing them about a year ago. I'm sure you can find more info on this.
