Please help :-( My phone is in boot loop??? (bricked???) - Galaxy 3 General

Folks,
I was playing around with the roms and BAM
My phone wont start anymore, it keeps hanging on the Android logo from Kyrillos 7.
I tried flashing other roms, but there's no help here...
Help...
Please
May the phone gods be with me........ 8-0
I'm still able to get in the download, so I guess he's not totaly bricked, right????

factory reset from recovery and reboot it might take a while.

problem is that it keeps hanging in the ANDROID logo that shines, then suddenly stops, and resets this logo and it all starts all over, very strange...
I'm also able to install the Destiny Rom, and it boots well, but after xxx minutes this version also locks....
I had no problems with K7 OC before (only it locked after restart some days later, that was the prob)
How can I completely reset my phones internal memory?
Could this be unrepairably damaged?

SOLVED !
I can sleep good now !!!!
sorry, I panicked, because I tried several times and nothing worked.
Thanks for the advice !
(can I delete this topic?)

could you explain your solution?

Of course
I formatted with Pc software at first.
I got many times locked at startup (mostly after installing programs, so the phone needs access to the SD)
I installed K7, then flashed the G3rom into it.
And then, most important:
I formatted the SD card from within the Clockwork Manager CWM.
Of course, this erased both partitions (so make backup), but at least now it works
Do you have similar problems?

no, not yet... but maybe it'll help in future & others & just curious... where's the tnx button in this app?

[Q] Did I brick my Hero?

Hello,
Last night I tried to install another radio fw on my Hero because of bad reception since the last one I installed.
I placed the new radio on my SD, rebooted and forgot to push the right buttons to access the "Android system recovery" (RA?) part.
Because it takes ages to wait for the phone to boot I pulled the battery and tried it again witch failed again, pulled the battery again etc.
When I finally managed to acces the "Android system recovery" part I flashed the new GSM radio to my GSM Hero. All the steps in described in the manual I used worked and all looked well.
After rebooting the phone started till the point of the Villainrom logo. I kept the phone on for hours till the battery was fully drained but it stays the same.
I can still acces the "Android system recovery", fast boot etc,
Tried the following:
-Wipe
-Restore backup
I'm getting pretty desperate!!
I's there anyone who has recovered his Hero from such a situation?
Please help..
If you can get to the recovery screen then you're not bricked. just reflash your rom and gapps add on and you should be fine or do a nandroid restore.
Hi pwraggcan,
I already restored a Nadroid backup.. Did not do the trick....
Also I tried to reflash the radio fw... Nothing helps. It just hangs at the unfolding Villainrom Logo which every few minutes restarts unfolding (I don't know how to call it otherwise, I do not mean that the phone restarts).
You're not bricked, so you're OK.
Re-flash the ROM you had installed after wiping your /data
Failing that, remove the SD card as that sometimes helps get the phone to boot.
If all else fails set up adb and get us a logcat.
Download the ROM again, full wipe & try again... Just to make sure the download didn't go bad?

You're welcome
Clear out your SD on your computer (back it up first), format it, and you should be good to go
It's usually the SD when this happens

im just downloading the rom for you now so i can extract the framework, if you pull your battery out, you can either plug in your charger while its off, this will bring up recovery, or while its off, hold vol down and press power, that will take you to bootloader, and just pick recovery from the list, now when in recovery, if you navigate to the mounts and storage menu, choose the option mount usb storage, you can now connect to a pc as a disk drive and copy stuff to your sd card
im having trouble uploading attachments to xda at the min dya want me to upload it to megaupload for you?
AndroHero,
Thank you for helping me out. I didn't know about the vol down press power option which allows you to acces the sd card and intall a new rom. I had the revolution rom 2.0.9 already. It's installing as we speak. Much thanks for the tips!
To early hooray. I choose the option with the revolution zip for a complete install. After the install I selected rebouut system now. Now it stays on the white HTC screen with the text HTC quitely brilliant. Flashing every 3 seconds or so....
What to do now?
Everything is resolved. revolution is up and running again. I had to un the fullwipe.zip and that did it!
THANKS a lot for all the tips....again

Did you do a full wipe before re-flashing your ROM? even if you did just repeat the process , full wipe /cache, /dalvik-cache, /system and then re-flash the rom fingers crossed it should work

Could it be possible that you installed cwm 3005 and tried a restore with that. I had the same problem. Went back to cwm 2.5.x and then restore worked.

I think there will be a lot of scare because of this CWM 3x...
Same happened to me the other day, stupidly accecpted the update prompt from Rom Manager, did my backup and went to install Cyanogen 6... Got stuck at HTC logo next boot.
Thankfuly, had Leedroid 2.0 on the SD, too, and that one flashed properly
Thing is that when I try to downgrade the Recovery to 2.5x I get an error and really can't be bothered with ADB pushing stuff around, so using Cyanogen 7 for the time beeing
Anyhow, CWM 3.x is likely your problem, easy to fix ^^
Wanting to change my theme on the Samsung spica I had theexact problem on cyanogen mod. Had to redo the whole rooting and installing the Rom again to get to work.

[Q] U8800-51 totally ruined! pls help

Hello guys! first of all sorry for my English!...well i messed up my u8800-51 and i cant get it to work, i´ve read most of related posts, but nothing work, so i'll try to explay what happened, i hope u understand my issue and help me...
Ok i had a 2.3.5 GB non-official installed, from androidmovida.. my phone was working just fine, but due to all the apps and media it was kind of slowing down, so i restored it to factory settings... when i did this, my phone started up normal, and it was almost perfect again, but i realized that even without any app installed i had 800mb of the ROM occupied, leaving me less than 200mb, this was just wrong, the ammount of memory used just after a factory reset should be around 350mb... so i installed cwm 5.0.2.7 and booted it to recovery mode, here i pressed;
wipe data/factory reset
wipe dalvik cache
and what i think that screwed my phone..i went to mount and storage and pressed format /system...
Since then my phone didnt start, but i was able to get into the recovery mode... so i downoaded the stock 2.2 froyo from huawei
(this page is in spanish cuz the phone is sold in Venezuela).
i formated my SD card, and put the dload folder in its root and the update process started, but failed...
now i cant even get to the recovery mode, ive tride the process to install the fw a million times and it keeps failling..
and i just can get to the updating process or to the pink screen..if i connect my phone and leave it connected it shows up the logo and turn off, and repeat over and over..
my guess is that somehow i cant install the rom because the memory is almost full, but i have no idea of how to clear it!
if any of u guys can help me i would appriciate it a lot!!!
again sorry for my English and for the long post, but i wanted to be specific so you dont waste time telling me to do things ive already done! thank you!!!!

You need a micro sd reader and hook it up to a computer than copy the stock gb over and delete the old froyo. You should've asked.
I've read this may work, but android movida was closed down.
Try this.

sorry its embarrasing i have to ask, but i'm new with android so im a little lost! but according to what i got to learn last night trying to make my phone come back to life, there's no GB stock for the u8800-51, actually the only stock fw in huawei was the one i downloaded, and the one i installed from androidmovida required froyo to be succesfully updated..anyways ill download GB to see what happens, but if you could be a little more specific it would be nice, buecause as i said, i just learned a few things last night!!
Thank you very much for your help!

Stock Recovery

Hey guys,
just got my Galaxy S4. I rooted it and wanted to install TWRP on it. Everything worked but if I boot my phone it freezes after a few seconds and reboots. Only way to bypass that is to lock the phone and wait about 30 seconds. And I also can't access TWRP. My phone just boots normally. So I wanted to flash normal recovery back. I only wanted a custom recovery to flash a theme. But for now I just need stock recovery. Are there any links to that? Those in the recovery threads don't work anymore :/
Now I boots and reboots all the time. I can't even use the OS normally. Any way to reset my phone to work again?

Hi,
Look HERE

reflash the stock rom
Still same issue :/
€: Wow it's just a joke. The phone freezes because of my microSD. When I take it out, let the phone boot and put it back in everything works. Only if I don't take it out and let the phone boot it freezes and restarts. I'll try to format the microSD because it's coming from my old phone.

I remember having that issue with the S3, the only solution is buying a new one
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Yes it's rooted and the problem only appeared after flashing twrp. Before that everything worked fine. I did trianlge away and flashed stock recovery back but still the same problem.
If you say I only have to get a new one I'll stay with this one because taking out the sd isn't really hard to do and I don't reboot my phone very often.

Constantly rebooting...

Hello, this is my first post here and I have searched for a similar post or issue but have been unsuccessful finding anything.
Please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong area, missed a solution somewhere and/or have not explained anything correctly/clearly.
My Nexus 7 (2012) (I installed Cyanogen on it (and updated it once) through their installer and it has run perfectly for months) started rebooting randomly one morning. I turn it on and it seems to be normal, then it will suddenly reboot. The time between reboots varies ranging from 30 seconds to a few minutes. I can not install or update any apps and any settings changed are reset back to what they were previously upon reboot. I have tried a factory reset and while it appears to wipe everything (all caches and data) when I reboot it is the same as before the reset (I also receive this message (after all other processes are complete) during the data wipe "E: unknown volume "/sdcard/.android_secure" "). I am able to turn on developer options but then the random reboot occurs and it is turned off. I have plugged it to my computer and see it listed, but can not access anything on it.
My intention is to wipe it using my computer (fastboot?) but I am at a standstill due to the rebooting and being unable to turn on developer options.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried flashing another ROM in recovery? Perhaps try to see if you can access the filesystem while in recovery or if the bootloader brings anything up on your computer.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for my delay in replying. I've been rather frustrated with this.
I flashed the official image (downloaded from the google site) using fastboot and it seemed to work as all messages said complete but when I rebooted, it was back to it's current state. I am at a loss. I also tried adb sideloading but that just hangs when it gets to installing. It does not reboot randomly when it is in recovery.

No worries!
So CyanogenMod is still installed? Oh my. Has anything at all changed? If you still have custom recovery installed, why not try a near stock ROM?

Yes. No matter what I do, when I reboot it's still Cyanogen. Being a semi-novice at this, I didn't backup the stock ROM I had before installing Cyanogen. It feels like a virus, but I pretty much installed the exact same apps on both my phone and tablet and the phone has been fine.
I used this image(nakasi kot49h). Should I try a earlier version?
Thank you.

You can always try. Also make sure you check md5 before flashing, that may explain why stock didn't flash correctly.
And I still can't get anything to work. Most recently I tried using wugfresh and EVERYTHING works except when it writes bootloader.img at the start. I feel like I am close but then it reboots back to cyanogen. lol
