ERRROR 260/UPDATING RADIO ROM ON HTC HD2. Windows 7 - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Hey guys, i have a problem updating radio rom on my HD2. I have Cynagemon7 Typhoon installed, Magldr 1.13 installed, i keep receiving the error. I installed usb drivers (belive its called google usb driver) for the phone, i go to to bootloader and choose USB Flasher. On the Phone it shows that its connected (USB...USB), but i still can not flash it. I think the problem is with Windows Mobile Center, it doesn't show my phone, it show NOT CONNECT on WIN7. Any ideas what might help to solve my problem?

magldr issue

I am trying to use the magldr flashed and it says waiting for usb... Instead of the usb... Usb message and will not see my computer and device manager has a driver named magldr that says its not installed correctly.... Is there a magldr driver I need to get cause I can't flash crap
Your computer is suppose to imstall the driver for you to use MAGLDR from your phone when you connect it to the computer abd you are in option #4 USB Mass Stg or option #5 USB Flasher. If it did not install properly, try another USB port, or try to manually update the drivers by going to Device manager and right click on the MAGLDR icon or the icon for your phone which ever one it shows it as in Device manager. Select update drives amdcthen select from computer and find your phone on the computer and click on it and tjen click dome at the bottom of the window you are in it should updatecthe driver from hour HD2. If not unlug hour HD2 try deleting the drivers for it im Device manager and then plug your phone back in to see if it will install the drivers then. Also when you select option #5 USB Flasher make sure your phone says USB...USB on it then connect it.

Hi,
I have the same problem which I can solve by installing Microsoft Activesync.
This will give you the necessary drivers to load MAGLDR and USB flasher etc.
So I install activesync on my puter?

You have to use Windows Mobile Device Center with Windows 7. You can get it from the same placecas ActiveSync.

Because you were talking about windows 6.5 of course you need to go the magical multicolored bootloader.

My fix to this....
I had the same problem earlier this evening. I rebooted both the laptop and the phone and it worked fine after that. For some reason, my drivers wouldn't detect MAGDLR or CWM in USB Storage mode... Odd enough that this was the first time it happened...

[Q] Waiting USB ... in MAGLDR USB Flasher

Hi alls,
I was using MIUI NAND Rom and one day, I would like to change to Sense based ROM. I firstly re-flashed (and partitioned) my HD2 but get stuck at "Wait USB ..." when entering Flasher mode.
I am using Windows 7 - 32bit, with Windows Mobile Device Center installed; ADB USB installed and working properly (Windows regconized my HD2 as MAGLDR).
It's weird because I used to flashed NAND ROM almost dozen times before. I also tried to flash back to WM6.5 and start over again, HardSPL is Oke, it still regconized my USB connection. But after flash MAGLDR 1.13, I cannot get Flasher mode worked. Already tried downgrade MAGLDR 1.11, still cannot worked.
I read all related threads. I tried different USB drivers (from Google, HTCSync, PDANET, EasyTelther) but no hope until now. It's very frustrated
Any body has encountered this problem ? Please help !
Thanks in advance,
Try to do task29.
And a real complete reinstall.
Task 29
Magldr
Cwm
Then Rom

[Q] Magldr USB Flasher not working

I have searched and searched and cant find a reason why this isnt working. I have a new hd2 with hspl and magldr 1.13. I have windows mobile device center on my pc. I have downloaded a partition to flash so I can install a rom, but the usb flasher option gets stuck on Wait USB... This is not my first hd2, and i recall having this problem before. Can someone please point me in the right direction? When I put the phone in bootloader and plug it in, my comp. recognizes the phone but not in magldr.
Edit: I have an old hd2 (touchscreen doesnt work), and tried the USB Flasher and had the same problem.

[Q] What i can do please?

Hi everyone! At first sorry because my english is not better than my french
My problem: I have an HTC hd2 with a white screen and the SPL 1.42.0000 (i can go to bootloader). I google it and can't find any solution, i tried to instal HSPL (with hspl2/3/4) without success (usb fail connection) i have the same error with an task29, and an hd2toolkit. I tried to instal from sdcard but i have the error "radio v2 fail".
I think this is a problem at height of XDA developers ^^
PS:I tried to change Computer or usb port and execute as administrator but nothing...
If you coul help me it will be realy nice.
is the phone recognized in device manager? If not its a driver problem.
also do the usual ( verify its not the usb cable, try different usb port,) if drivers are ok
thank you for your help
The computer recognize the device but without OS (white screen) i can't do anythings with Activesync, i tried other computers and other usb port/cable but nothing. I think isn't a driver's problem because the instalation with sd card don't work.

Don't understand what you mean by "white screen"?
Try installing a stock winmo for you device to make sure everything is ok...
i tried to instal an official htc rom from sd card but it doesn't work, by "white screen" i just wanted to say that when i turn on my phone the screen is white.
It sounds like you have done a Task 29 and you do not have a ROM on your HD2 right now. This is why you just boot to the white screen.
You do npot have to use Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center to flash via RUU. You just have to have them installed because the haqve the USB drivers for the HD2's WINCE Bootloader in the programs and they install the drivers when you install the program.
The drivers in Active Sync and WMDC allow you to have a HTC Sync connection in the bootloader. Just boot into the bootloader by holding down the volume down button while powering on yuour HD2. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via USB cable. Wait and watch for the Serial in the white bar of the bootloader to change to USB. When you see USB you can run a RUU.
Now to address your 1.42.0000 SPL, this is a older SPL version and you may have to keep trying different RUUs until you get one that will flash. Just make sure if you have a T-Mobile HD2 that you do not flash any radio version below 2.08.50.?? or any radio version that has a 51 in the radio where the 50 is in the first radio I mentioned, or you will brick your T-Mobile HD2. Look for the radio version in the RUU name it will be there.
Sometimes the HD2 develops what is referred to as a "stuck radio" when they have these early SPL versions like yours. This is why I say you may just have to keep trying different RUUs until you find one that will flash.

HD2 Magldr 1.13 wait USB...

Hi, I've flashed the HSPL 2.08 or smth.. flashed Magldr 1.13, checked the last Nand blocksthat sd thing on the Services menu in Magldr, but I can't detect my HD2 in USB Flash mode. Bootloader detects fine. When I plug it in, my computer has the same sound as when I plug in a unrecognized device. Device manager shows "Unrecognized device".
Any idea how to fix this? and yes I've uninstalled and reinstalled WMDC multiple times.
Windows 7 64bit
sometimes this happen on x64 windows... for these reason i never use x64 windows anymore...
you can try this: connect device (when is in magldr), go to device manager and uninstall conflicted driver... disconnect device, uninstall Zune and WMDC... restart computer... install WMDC, install Zune and connect device...
I seemed to have solved it. To anyone else that has this problem, please find a friend with windows XP. I literally installed it in 5 minutes. ughh shouldn't have wasted hours trying this on Win 7 x64
