I also hear great things about this. Im probably going to start using it because of the reports of awesome battery life.

I'm using this after I got tired of cm7 and miui having not very good battery life...... the best day I had with this phone was 20 hours with pretty heavy usage.. went out at 10pm with 30% and streamed HQ video from YouTube to play music... took pictures and some videos..came home at 3am and had 9%... oced to 1.1 ghz @ 57v and 300 mhz @ 16v....oced to 1.2 ghz at 64v and still got 16+ hours with heavy usage... this rom is awesome

since this is on the gb kernel... no tether right?

Nah, I use Barnacle and it works

I would like to see a 1% battery increment though...but I don't see anywhere to contact the devs on the website

Is this rom stable now or what. Is everything working ? Im thinking of changing to it. Using apex now. Just bored need a change.

Great rom. What happened to the swype keyboard. Noobie.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App

This rom is super fast, But it didn't work great for me. The big deal breaker was Bluetooth, Every time I was on a phone call and tried to adjust the volume the phone would just hang up on my call. I thought maybe it was just the headset I was using so I tryed another one and same issue. I went back to Liberty GB .9

I doubt it will be able to happen since this is a stock based rom instead of a 2nd init rom.

Its painful coming back to a GB Stock rom after being on a 2nd init rom. Having 1% increments was so nice. Hopefully the better battery life will offset my need to actually know if im on 20% versus 29%

Blandroid on N1

I just noticed, blandroid rom on the rom manager menu, has anyone tried it on N1? I'm using cm7 Rc4 and I know you'll all say stick with it, but I'm still curious.

I noticed it a couple of weeks ago. It says it's a stable 2.3.3 with no bloatware. Sounds very intriguing...in fact so much so that I downloaded it, but have yet to flash it...lol.
Certainly tempting isn't it, is this a case of who goes first lmao, out of interest how big is it? I notice the cm7s are just over 80 mb.

Seems like a plain stock ROM, nice to see to be honest.
Noticed the same thing, but was wondering what all it supports, site doesn't say much. I.E. what kernel it has/supports, TB alert stuff like that.
Hopefully the dev comes and explains what all he's done.
Well, I flashed it, for like an hour then when back to cm7 using the recovery I made.
First thing, market didn't work.
Secondly it didn't have the extra apps cm7 has, which I expected, but I instantly missed theme chooser.
Thirdly it wiped my contacts list.

First. The market issue is probably a wipe issue as I had the same problem with two different MIUI GB ROMs.
Secondly. That would be the lack of bloatware mentioned above. It's like stock android, so not sure why you even flashed it if you wanted bloatware.
Thirdly. It didn't wipe your contact list you didn't sync with google, becaue all of your contacts are backed up there.
You know what, I knew that'd be the replies I got, to be honest I'm curious of any rom that 1might increase battery life, currently using 85% over 10hours!! And of course the dreaded wonk which is seemingly inherent with cm7.
I couldn't force Google to sync with my phone, all my contacts are stored with Google you're right there.
Btw how would I get the market back?

I think it is another keyboard app. When you go to change the keyboard, it lists something in all Asian symbols.
I just deleted it and I have not noticed any difference with how blandroid runs.
The wonk was almost fixed on latest release of cm7. If you don't have the latest version, try it.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
Nearly fixed isn't fixed. The problem is really dragging out and these stock ROMs are showing that its fixed with them. Wonking isn't the only issue at the moment either. There is still problems with the sound levels after docking the phone sometimes where its maximum level is halved etc.
CM is an ace project and I truly respect the guys and their efforts behind it, but CM7 is very buggy, and when it starts to affect the ability to take calls its hard to use it.
Oh! Thx for the reply. I got scared and ran back to cm7

What sort of battery life do you get and is there good support from the Dev?
I could go for no wonk
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
I like!
Went for this until the CM stable kills the wonk; now I may not go back. I haven't used it for long enough to know about stability. I think of it as pure AOSP, but already rooted (and a just a few essential CM goodies).
http://blandroid.org/about
So far, I haven't found anything missing I need.
And if you want a bit more eye candy and customization, just install launcher pro or adw.launcher from the market.
I give it thumbs-up!

Best rom for battery life?

Right now I'm using ultimate droid latest untill that project crashed and burned, and the battery lasts forever on 100% but after that its like a slow leak.. any other roms for great battery life that is Gingerbread? I don't want any launcherpro roms or adw roms those annoy me

You mean you want a Rom with the stock aosp launcher. I recommend trying virtuous G-Lite. Read the instructions in the OP, for info on how to get the stock launcher.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076786
G-Lite has the best battery life of any Rom I have ever tested.
And are you aware that you don't need to stick with the launcher that comes with a Rom? You can install which ever is your favourite and uninstall the one that comes included with the Rom.

Stock Rom for sense and virtuous G-Lite for asop
Once again I reccomend meXdroidMod PreGhostChilli. It is a very fast asop build that has waydownsouth's tweaKr script built into it. So as long as you use the included kernel you can set profiles for your processor via tweaKr script that react MUCH faster than any app (like setCPU). You can also undervolt your processor, tweak your i/o, and install the smart cpu script; all of those things will do wonders for battery life. I can squeeze an entire day of HEAVY usage out of my phone, and nearly two days of moderate to light usage (and I have an almost bad battery), just be sure and take the time to properly calibrate your battery after flashing the rom.
Sent from my G2 w/ meXdroidMod PreGhostChilli
Okay, so suppose I wanted a rom exactly like this one any ideas because I live gingerbread yet I'm not a fan of sense
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
AOSP: Virtuous G-Lite hands down, it's a 2.3.3 version that is very stable. Comes with LauncherPRO and is as stock as you can be. No lag anywhere and can be overclocked as well with the included kernel, though, now i think RMK and team included a script that automatically overclocks up to 1.2GHz for you by default. About 1 day of heavy use on a charge, just less than 2 days of light use on a charge.
Other: MIUI Official English, it's a 2.3.4 version that is incredibly stable with the CRT screen off animation. Alittle weird to use at first, but it's really easy to pick up on. Overclockable to 1.5GHz using CPUTuner or SetCPU. Lasts about 3 days of light use on a charge. About 1.5 days of heavy use on a charge.
You should try Virtours G-lite, best of any ROM I have used. 1 thing is more Free RAM to play ^^

Can Virtuous G-lite handle any apps you throw at it? (e.g. Angry Birds/Cut The Rope/Robot Unicorn Attack?)
Or does it sacrifice performance for battery life?

Alien #4 is the best. Very stable. And good battery life. It doesn't have OC kernel, EXT4 etc but its stability is unbeatable.
I've experienced widget missing, rebooting, etc issues in other ROMs, but not Alien.

I'm running the current cm7 stable build, tried weekly 2 but had issues with it so switched back. Haven't tried the nightlies yet. Ive have heard aura is good.

Aura is good. My personal fav is The DarkSide by Nottach. It's got some personal tweaks of his and that special black-oriented theme that drive it home for me. Right now, I'm fiddling around with that new 1.4GHz kernel just because I'm that kinda guy, and it requires CM7 so I have the FP reader version on right now (nightlies don't do it for me).
how about a ROM with webtop running?

Go with 2.2.2 froyo if u really need battery life
Problem with Google apps after installing CM7
We all know that CM7 is the best. I installed it exactly as described, but after I install the package with the Google apps, none of the apps actually show up on my phone.
Any ideas?

I'm a fan of the D2G MIUI port for the D2. Far, far more stable than stock GB, and much easier to customize.
Port?
Sent from my DROID2 using xda premium
It was originally developed on the Droid 2 Global by aceoyame and a few others I think, and then adapted/ported over to work for the D2 by aceoyame as well.
Are you sure? I'm pretty sure its the other way around.

Actually the newest builds of cm7 are more stable than stock.

Been using Galnet MIUI 2.2.10 for close to a month I believe. Very, very stable and lots of cool little tweaks. ICS framework. 60% or so battery left at the end of every day.
Apex is a right choice for Droid 2.
tried CM7 and liquid smooth... liquid smooth seems to be the most stable and snappiest. CM7 was always buggy and lagged a lot, especially when unlocking the screen.
Well I just put the newest ics build on and the camera works. So that is the best rom for droid 2 now.

I to, had been using Galnet MIUI for a while and loved it. Recently moved to the MIUI ICS 2012.3.12 build. Was a little hard to get used to having no app drawer ( MIUI puts all apps on home pages ). After I moved to my present one, I installed the Alt Drawer, found here at XDA. At least I have an app drawer if I ever need one, lol.
I like the MIUI because it gives you a lot of governors to try and has the CPU tweaks, all in the Boot Menu. You should give it a try.

A lot of times I still use Launcher Pro on MIUI. I get the stability and options of MIUI with a snappy stock app drawer and lots more customization options. The only things that I don't like about the default MIUI launcher is that it doesn't have the drawer and the ability to change the number of rows and such, but as it's simply a launcher you can just change the default.

1) BDH
2) CM 10 Unofficial

What is BEAM?
Oh and BDH is by far the best battery and performance, but not themed in any way. Eclipse has aosp themed apps on a stock base. CM10 is nice but not as good performance.
Check out Trippin' Bean. It's CM10 and pretty stable. I've been using it for the last week and have had no issues. GAPPS are inverted, as are several other apps. It is themeable and tweak able.

Trippin' Bean is very stable and is CM based. I have been using it for almost 2 weeks. I only had an issue with MMS, but I found a different MMS.apk and installed it. After verifying that the new apk worked, I let the dev know about it. Marxman immediately replaced the old MMS with the new one. He had a new release, 3.1, out that night.

The CM10 builds are stable outside of no NFC, WiFi direct, and the WiFi will act up after a few days. I think the best setup is the Eclipse ROM, which is the stock verizon ROM built with AOSP apps. Great battery, very stable, and you can move it to the stock slot on the phone to save space on the internal storage.
Check out flying jelly on droidrzr. Great battery life. Seemingly nightly OTA updates. Blur based so its fully functional.

have only been so far using Eclipse 1.1
battery life is average I guess - not sure if I'm expecting too much out of my M or it's merely a 2000mAh battery, what more can we expect?
I am a heavy user, always refreshing facebook, checking emails, I swap between auto brightness in the sun and minimal when indoors. Data is 3G on all the time or wifi if available..
If I start the day with 100% and I'm constantly refreshing and leaving the screen on I'd probably get about 5-6 hrs on screen time before requiring to charge again.
Some people post their 10+hours of batt life but do factor in the screen on time.. just cuz it looks nice doesn't mean it's the actual stats. After all you're not going to just buy a phone only to leave the screen off 99% of the time aren't you?
