Salsa 4.0. mising widget - Hero, G2 Touch General

I cant put a contact widget and foto album widget on home screen:.That is important to me. Any idea why some widgets can and some can not put on homescreen.Thank for you beautiful rom. I really like it.

I dont know why, but I have de same issue in the Agenda and People ones.
In agenda, just de-select all the calendars and reselect do put the widget.
The people widgets need to be put first in an fully empty slot, and not just in the right place.
Try putting them multiple times, one time it will work.

it's htc g15?

Add the widget to an empty screen and move it to the desired screen.

Salsa sense 4.0.
I like SASLSA SENSE very much but i hate that cant put widgets on screen. trying to put widgets on the blank screen but nothing happensI try 5_6 times without succes.

The foto album widget doesn't work for me either but the contact widget works fine if I add it to a blank screen.

I don't why,I have no the issue...

[Q] [Help] Elelinux 3.1 (2.3.5) missing widgets?

Hey guys I wanted to make this post in the forum for his rom but I'm so new it won't let me so I thought I'd do it here. I have just today rooted my HTC Hero GSM phone and installed the new v3.1 rom from elelinux. Everything works fine but I'm just missing 2 widgets.
When I was running v2.1-update1 i had it so that one of the home screens had a full screen bookmark widget and another one had a full screen (well I mean so big you couldn't actually place another shortcut or anything on that screen) widget for my text messages. I know that the rom has both txt message app and a bookmarks section in the browser but before I could put both of these on the home screens and when I go to widgets from the home screen those two are missing from the list.
Can anyone help me out how to find it if I am missing it, or can you point me in the right direction?
I think those are sense widgets you refer to. Won't get these on aosp but there are similar alternatives on the market
I have the same issue... and I don't think it's related to Sense apps. I have tried to download, for example, "Laik Agenda widget", that works perfectly in other non-sense android phones, does not appear in the list.
I have also tried with 4 or 5 different calendar widgets, and no luck.

Click to collapse
I had a same problem. Are you using elelinux ROM like OP?If you do, then go to settings>applications>manage apps>choose widget that you want and tap on it> then tap move to phone and thats it.That was the problem when I couldnt see some widgets, downloaded from market, in the list.

[Q] Why sense widgets update themself when you are on them

Hi all !
As far as I have seen in every single ROM using htc sense, the sense widgets don't updates by themself in background but they do when you are actually loocking at them. Or better they download the new data automatically but the updated the screen just when you slide directly to it. This is waste of resources because every time that you are sliding the home the phone has to process the sliding and has also to updated the screen for the widget. You can see this from news widget, meteo or friends stream. Another fact is the contact widget, it reload every contact every time that you slide to it...
Is there a way to fix this ?

Widget causes Sense to crash..

On one of my screens i have widget which today started crashing Sense..
What i mean is everytime i switch to that screen sense crashes...
On that screen i have:
- Power Amp Widget
- Battery Monitor Widget
- Android Assistant Quick Boost Widget
- HTC Sync All Widget
- Power Controll Widget
How to remove a widget without going on to that screen..
You will probably say "uninstall that wigget/app" but what if it is HTC Sync All Widget (only one i can see on all screens preview (Home button))
Could create another blank screen and work through adding each widget until you get an issue. Once identified you can work out how to fix the problem
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
Ill have to use one of my other screens as cant add extra one on ARHD (i think)
None of them on new screen causes Sense to crash... :/
Uninstalled everything except Power Controll and Sync All as I cant nothing changed...
Now I only hope my yesterdays backup will work..
Had to restore backup...

[Q] Cannot delete broken/ghost widget on homescreen

Hey, everyone,
I just developed a problem on my Evo Shift that's driving me nuts: when I go to my homescreen from my lockscreen, the weather portion of the HTC Sense clock widget (shining Sun in this instance) shows up on top of everything, then disappears after a few seconds. I've tried grabbing it to delete it, but once I touch the screen, the Sun/widget disappears and I'm taken either to an app I touch or to the Personalize screen. I'm not rooted and running Sense. My homescreen has no widgets on it, only apps. I've tried changing the scene and the skin, but to no avail. I've also tried to delete data on HTC Sense via Manage Applications, but again, no luck.
I've searched through the forums here and while a few have posted about broken widgets, none seem to address this particular problem (part of a widget appearing on top of everything else). I'm at a total loss here.
Thanks.
That's not a widget, that sounds like you are describing the weather animations that is part of sense. I do believe there is an option to turn off the weather animations, but not 100% sure as I mainly use aosp not sense.

On some versions of Sense (not sure if this applies to Froyo), you are given the option to enable/disable the weather animation when you add the clock widget.
Delete the clock widget, re-add it, and see if you have the animation option.
Go to settings, then display and in there you can disable all animations if you want
Thanks for the replies, guys. I tried all those and nothing worked. But on another forum, I found the answer:
I have LockerWidget installed. In its settings under "Look & Feel," there's a setting called "HTC Weather Animations." If you set that to "Disabled," the annoying animations stop.
Again, thanks for the quick replies and offers of help.

Apps installation on another home screen.

Hey All,
I have Nova Launcher installed on my Nexus 10 (4.2.2) and I've just got my home screen looking the way I want it with a few widgets, I like informational widgets on my center screen (weather, clock, email etc) social stuff (facebook etc) on my left screen and my apps on the right screens. However when I install an app it always ends up on the center screen, and I have to move it every time. Does anybody know how I can make app shortcuts appear on the screen to the right?
I know it's a small annoyance, but it does drive my crazy
I also use Nova Launcher and the same thing happens. I suspect that this is more of a "feature" than a bug as you always know where a newly installed app icon will be (centre screen). I have a few screens where I could easily loose a new app behind a widget that covers a large part of the screen such as a weather widget.
