Just reporting that i received the Froyo OTA a few minutes ago. I have a Nexus one, rooted & unlocked, running frf72 rom from tesla. I was prompted to restart, and it went into the recovery screen, then it said installation had failed, could not authenticate. I assume this is because my phone is rooted and unlocked. I'm on T-mobile in dallas tx in case anyone was wondering
This is good news! Given you're not bluffing. It should still install even though your device is rooted, no?
So you don't have to dig through the thread
here it is!!!
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/passion/signed-passion-FRF83-from-FRF50.38d66b26.zip
so can you post a link to the ota download?
Could try to flash stock and see if you can update and dump.
Just logcat right from a reboot
Post the llog!
How does one go about discovering the Google server address to download the OTA? Just curious, but never thought to ask...

alogcat app
Is this real?
I mean if there 'was' a true OTA would Google have not notified via the usual channel? It certainly would be a good day for some froyo with Droid X announcement and a day before the iPhone.

adb logcat while you are starting up and then allow it to download
from a command prompt
adb logcat >> logcat62310.txt
would be perfect, then you can upload that TXT file for the experts to find the link, since it will be filled with garbage

New FOTA update ver. 8.6.6.23
(grabbed link from transformer itself (~10mb):
http :// fota.asus.com /delta_package/eee-pad/WW_epad/formal/8.6.6.19-user-WW-8.6.6.23-user-WW-20111205-134625/update_1-2.zip (sorry for the this link, can't post normal one))
In the archive a lot of built-in app patching (like weather, youtube, market, maps etc), and (!) asus-backup. It means, that they probably closed the hole for rooting devices.
Also in archive blob file with header MSM-RADIO-UPDATE. It looks like, that new radio presents here too. But the date of the file is odd.. 22 march 2011.. a bit old, yeah?
Unfortunately I just finished this update from a brand new TF 101g... And I was trying to root with Razorclaw 1.0.1 but is seems not working anymore
It gives me the following error :
Unknown error occurred whist trying to root device : 256
Any idea how to solve this "problem"?

Razorclaw will need to be updated too as it wouldnt run on a lower firmware than 8.6.6.19 So id wait for the dev to update it.
Did I miss something and there's a new OTA update coming?

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to wait for a root method before I download that update whenever it gets pushed to my TAB.
Is anyone with a US SKU getting an update notification?

Is it possible to stop this update (without root) and how ?
What I remembered from the last update you could only delay it for 3 days (as far I remembered).
Does fota have and update from 8.6.6.15 or is there a link to download 8.6.6.19 on the fota site.

Does anyone have the dlpkgfile from the 8.6.6.19 update? (e.g. the previous update?)
I need it to compare to the 23 to see what all changed.

Maybe by not updating? Most units ship with older firmware so unless you buy a VERY new device, you're out of risk.

It's interesting to see if anyone else can confirm this observation....
Can someone enlighten us if this is an update for the TF101 or the TF101G ?
I've yet to see this update on my TF101.
I got this update last week , it ruled out my root TF101G
HTK75.WW_epad-8.6.6.23-20111202 . I'd say it is very very bad move from asus to close every thing , i think they wanna push us into PRIME .... ***k them .

Then you are using a ROM for the i9020a. The base band you are using is not for the i9020t. This is why the signature it's failing

My phone is unlocked but the service center guys installed the different ROM and I am not able to update.
With rooting you mean I will be able to bypass (the error: failed to verify whole file signature) and install the update without issues?

Can someone screenshot their build version etc?
damn it!
Ota did download. Asked to reboot then ClockworkMod 6.0.1.1 appeared and started the update by itself.
Then I saw something terrifying
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
My Tab model is N8010 and is rooted. I'm still on the 4.0.4 samsung firmware. Any Idea about how I can flash the new downloaded update?

I had the same issue. I ended up updating via Kies and it works perfectly fine. I also read you can flash the stock recovery back and then you can update OTA, but being an Android noob, I wasn't completely sure how to do that, so I used Kies instead
update wuth Kies

Is there any difference to update on kies or ota?
The PDF import issue is fixed but now Polaris Office doesn't run at all. Anyone else experiencing this? The version is 4.0.5002.33. Clearing app data does not help.
note 10.1 Canadian jb update
Can someone post this up?
I have the german one. But I want switch to Canadian JB

Anyone managed to pull the download from KIES?
I tried to extract it but I can't get Kies to install the firmware, it just return a weird error with korean character (I think it's korean since it appears as white square on my screen (font issue))
Edit: Nevermind, got it... I'll try to get it uploaded somewhere.

Or you could extract it from a stock rom.
Sent from my iPad 4
Doesn't the Nexus 4 come with Wallet preinstalled? I'm guessing you uninstalled after rooting, and there are two rules to updating a rooted phone with stock ROM.
#1 Keep stock recovery
#2 Don't mess with system apps
Just a heads up for the future
