try to search in the market by word "busybox"
yes, I find BusyBox of Stephen (Stericson), but when i start the app, the app tell me that on some ROM this busybox could go in loop the phone. So I not know if the Original HTC Desire ROM it's compatible or less.
I just started using DX and then i tried to use system app remover to delete something and then it says my phone is not rooted? i still have superuser and rootexplorer works. Busybox cannot be installed because its not rooted?
Any suggestions?? i need to root again or what??
Weird because root explorer works..and superuser is still there.
you have to root it again,
it wont remove any files
so if you did it once a second time wont be as hard
I also use Ginger DX, and have the same problem as yours. System App Remover seems not compatible with GingerDX. I suggest u to use Titanium Backup to uninstall system app. It works well with GingerDX.
This is a known bug... please refer to this thread..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205566
Let's just hope the fund raiser is a success and DX will get a new X8 soon
1. try to get in terminal emulator (if you have one) and type there "su"
and check if ($ goes to # )
2. you might delete some essential app which helps system work in rooted mode so try to reinstall ROM. if still doesn't work try to root that again. (it's quite easy with super user one click)
just root it again.. only 1 click
No no no guys! It's a bug in the GingerDX series. Just wait for doixanh to fix it.
I have LG optimus one and Iam try new rom Omnirom beta 7 and beta 7.1. Iam saw ther isnt any superuser app and Iam try flash SuperSU (chainfire) and SuperUser (CloakWorkMod) with cwm recowery 6.4.0.6 and twrp 2.7.0.0.
Now I can run some apps like a total commander with superuser aces, Rom manager, but Iam style not can run titanium backup and lot of more. Sorry my English. Thanks for all reply.
Just FYI it is recommended to run twrp and su. Regarding you question: can you use the functionality that requires root in the apps you mentioned to be working? If not you simply have no su access at all. In case you can run them go into the su UI under settings and see if you can manually grant su permission to TiB and the like. It seems strange to me that super user should only work for some of your apps. I might be wrong though, I'm no expert.

In setings you mustvote apps & adb in defoult only apps.
Hello,I'm using Albe95 Lollirom 8.0 and everytime I want to install Viper4android driver this error appears:"Driver install failed:The busybox installation found on your device does not work. This usually means you installed a wrong or broken busybox.V4a needs Stericson's busybox to work.If you are sure you installed the proper busybox, then please confirm your device has been completely rooted.
Please note that I already got Stericson busybox installed.
Same here. That's what it says for my samsung galaxy s6 edge plus?
How did you install busybox?
I installed busybox using the app BusyBox from the Play Store. In the app it says:"BusyBox v1.24.1-Stericson is installed."

Maybe try and flash the busybox instead of installing it.
