[ROM] Acer LiquidE 1.100.15_AAP_FET

I'm glad to share with you latest leaked Acer LiquidE ROM which I have. I got it from my friend, who I think, would like to rather stay anonymous
The bin was designed for GSM provider in Taiwan, but has no simlock.
Languages included: English and two Asian langs.
Malez recovery works with it, but it has no backlight, but I hope malez will take some time and will try to solve it

To flash superboot connect your Liquid to the PC, power off. Will appear charging battery. Launch .bat file, than press < + camera + power

I don't make Acer's bin's, I just release them
I think that only Asian users can really apprecaite this ROM

VillainROM 1.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Ace
As I have mentioned previously, this isn’t the magical custom ROM you have all been waiting for, YET. It’s a base that I have created in order for me to work on over the next few days/weeks/months. As I have said a few times now, don’t expect it to be HUGELY different to stock KPE at this stage.
- Based on Samsung’s XXPE Gingerbread build
- Pre-rooted with Superuser installed
- De-odexed (improving free space on /system)
- All APKs PNG optimized and zip-aligned
- A few minor tweaks which should improve free memory – please let me know
- Full battery alert removed (no more 3am wake ups!)
- Added GenieWidget (News and Weather)
- Added Gallery3D
- Added Stock Gingerbread Launcher and REMOVED TouchWizLauncher.apk
- Menu key will now unlock the phone on the lock screen
- SOME bloatware removed
- Huge APN list
- Annoying boot sound removed
- Light weight – stripped down the build a bit without losing functionality
See.. as I said, it’s lightweight and just a base at this stage. My work will continue over the next couple of weeks, so expect to see (COMING SOON):

Instructions:
RECOMMENDED BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
Perform a full wipe of data/cache. Dial *#*#7780#*#* from your current ROM, and this will wipe data and perform a factory reset.
1. Download the zip file from the bottom of this thread and extract it
2. Boot your phone into download mode, and connect it to the PC
3. Open ODIN – you should see a COM port in yellow.
4. Click Ops and select Cooper
5. Click Boot and select APB_Bootxxxx.tar (not necessary if coming from KPE)
6. Click Phone and select Modem_xxxxx.tar (not necessary if coming from KPE)
7. Click PDA and select AceVR.tar.md5
IGNORE THE 2 POP-UP ERROR MESSAGES ABOUT INVALID BINARY – THIS IS NORMAL.
8. Once complete, the phone will reboot.
Now, please post any opinions, comments or feedback in this thread, and any requests here.

2. No I didn't but if you could link the post for me I will happily include it as an option
3. Wifi driver stops responding with certain SD cards - it doesn't seem to affect me with most of my SD cards, but I don't use this phone as a daily - I work full time in Android and have access to most android phones. I just felt sorry for you guys having no ROM and support whatsoever.
There's also quite a lot of you that own the phone, so it's crazy that not many have picked it up yet from a development perspective.
Anyway, I'll try to get you to a level that you're happy with (custom kernels, CWM, and a rom or two), then I'll move along.
Hopefully, by then, many of you guys will start experimenting with ROMs yourself. It becomes a lot easier when you've got a custom recovery image in place!

I definitely want to start trying to play about with custom ROMs but I'm totally new to Android. So far I've managed to unpack and repack the boot.img in order to modify init.rc but I haven't built anything as such. I'd love to get involved in trying to port CWM to the SGA but I don't know where to start. Happy to help though if I can.

It was agreed on the discussion in the Ace thread that gingerbread launcher would be opted over TW4, nathan prefered GB launcher and even it was seconded by many users.

LANIGHT is a pure AOSP build, meaning it is NOT CM or built from CM source, so please do NOT ask for CM features. However, it does use device/hardware files from CM10 and rest from Nexus S.. so any device specific problems that is in CM may or may not be in LANIGHT. If you don't like AOSP, move on.
I will rarely post on the thread mostly because of well known reason. It is a development thread, if you can't flash or download apps(Gmail and such) from market or simpler tasks, YOU ARE spamming the thread. Help yourselves by flashing stock firmware from Kies. Remember, I can't fix stupid or lazy. Please read the whole OP and search before you start typing. Here's what you can do if you are facing battery drain problems(I put together this battery help thing back in Darkyrom website. Out-Dated but most of it still applies):
- Toggle airplane mode couple of times
- Calibrate the phone and read the guide(There are some helpful tips) OR
- use dark themes and wallpapers, avoid live wallpapers. OR
- There must be some app that stays open in the background and knocking on your battery life head on. Grab BetterBatteryStats from the market, find the offending crap and uninstall it OR
- Try a different kernel OR
- Try a different modem OR
- uninstall tw4 OR
- try fast dormancy OR
- Download Juice Defender OR
- Try search for "CSC" either on google or on here and pick the right country (Does not apply for US users) OR
- Go to "Applications / Settings / Display / Animation / No animations."
- Go to "Applications / Settings / Applications / Samsung Apps" and check "Disable"
- Go to "Applications / Settings / Location and Security" and check "Use Network", "Using GPS satellites" and "Using help of sensor" (off course "Using GPS satellites")
- Overclocking also impacts your battery life!!
- Enable Force Gpu Rendering on Developer Options
- Disable auto sync for accounts
- Disable GPS and wifi when you dont use
- Disable automatic brightness and set a low level
- Disable auto rotate if you don't use
- Disable data usage setting
- Disable any Sytem animations
- Disable any Launcher animations
- Disable Widgets in Drawer option on Launcher settings-Drawer
- Disable error-usage reports on launcher settings
- Disable logging and notifications at Superuser settings
- Disable outdated binary notification at Superuser setting
- Disable any unwanted notifications
- Use dark background(avoid live wallpapers!)
- Use dark themes
- Dark icons
- Change Launcher
- Disable "auto update" at file explorer settings...
- Buy a new battery
- If all else fails, flash RE again (Refer to step# 3).

EDIT: Not sure about the latest since he been using LVM partitioning on 08/20 onwards? I'm not sure this rom is compatible with it? If it is then its all the reason for me to support this rom till the HB exist.

just flashed and followed all directions and wifi couldnt be turned on. changing modems and kernels didnt fix either

What do you mean? Try flashing 1.0.4 datadata cappy kernel.
EDIT: Flashed this build 4 times and still no problem with wifi or kernel. Did you wipe?

oh and also ext sd card wouldnt mount in USB mode only internal so im guessing its kernel related again

No, listen just flash JVT or whatever modem you used to use on your previous JB build. Why are you swapping kernels? I don't understand. Did you have this problem before?
EDIT: Also, let me know which datadata kernels work for you. I need to know for my future release.

This is an old kernel and i choosed it for cautious purposes. Please don't poke around and cause yourself problems. Flash X-Bean or CM10 or AOKP first and try this rom. May fix it.
About the Ext SD card. I don't have an External SD card to test so that's why i put in the op it's untested. Not necessarily kernel related.

i did flash a modem i used with CM10 and wifi still couldnt turn on, and USB mount of ext sdcard problem was with kernel it came with right out the box. thats why i swapped kernels, but yea ill let u know which datadata kernels i use. just gotta find those kernels. havent kept up with all the new stuff and just saw this at the top of the forum

Edit: Tried to install the ROM but it won't even go to bootlogo. Wiped everything, only thing is I did flash onto OldDroid's CM10.1 ROM. It says that it should be flashed on Stock ROM though. Could this be the reason for the failure?

I have installed MERE rom and it's very good, the only problem I have had with this is that after I get an incoming call/Missed call the icon of "Incoming call" will stay constantly on the notification bar, it goes off only after I "Force Stop" the phone app. Any solution for this ? Thanks in advance.

Oh alright, but still you listed the rom and it's the the smallest in terms of size!!, that allows me to install more apps! (I hope I'm not wrong), so thanks so much man :good:.

Jst clear data and cache of phone.apk from settings/apps and check..
note:Maybe U will loose ur call log

Now that depends on person..!! i like light roms... that is stock like roms are good like androium,mere..etc for UI miui,baidu,lewa,color are good...!! persnly i dont like lewa at all.....

True that !! and I too like stock base roms :good: but I felt that MERE rom is the best ever because it allows me to install numerous apps whereas other roms take up internal memory and I'll not be able to install more apps, am I correct?!
Also is there any tweak for volume down button through which I can click pic?
