Easiest way is with ...connectify & fillezilla for pc ...and swiftp for android
I was gettin 1.5-2 MB/s with a g wifi card from a laptop, while with a n card from a newer laptop I was getting 4-5 MB/s

[Q] What's the connection speed with your WiFi N router?

Hi,
I recently got myself a new Type N WiFi router. On my old B/G Wifi router my SGS connected with 54MBit/s as it is supposed to do.
I was expecting to see a connection speed of 300MBit/s now (I'm not talking about the effective transfer rate, just the connection speed) but instead my SGS connects with very variable speeds to the router but never exceeding 65MBit/s.
Is this normal or do I have to do some specific settings in the phone or in the router?
my notebook computer connected at 300Mb/s while my SGS is at 72Mbps. HD(720p) playback through network is smooth.
its normal, sgs has only one antenna, look it up, for 300 Mbit u need 3 antenna.

You are talking about the transfer rate, I asked instead about the connection speed. You might be able to see this logging into your router. Your slow transfer speed probably depends of the fact that you are connected with your PC through Wi-Fi too. Connect the PC by cable and your transfer speed will at least double.

my all-time maximum is 72Mbps
and its not even effective
when transferring files it uses about half of that speed
720p is indeed smooth

Auto charging via PC/USB

Hello.
I connect my phone to PC very often everyday as 3G Internet modem.
I'm afraid, that this may degrade my battery
Is there any way to disable automatic charging via USB while phone is connected to PC?

Nope. There no such option currently. But I don't think that such kind of usage would degrade the battery.

Dont know I'f theres such an Option but yeah i must agree with you cause this made my battery degrading more and more so now when i use my old battery and go internet via mobile internet it goes in 1 minute from 100 % to 50 % !
but yeah why not use mobile ap?
If you feel the battery is deteriorating, then wipe battery.stats.bin periodically. Or use Battery Calibration ap.
As mentioned, why not use the mobile to browse rather than connect through it?
I don't use mobile AP because I have PC without wifi network card.
Actually, I have GSM Internet, but from other operator. So, If I want to use it, I must change the sim card in phone, and then connect it to PC via USB as modem.
But I bought 3G Modem, so I won't connect phone to PC very often as before.

[Q] USB Reverse Tethering

I was using connectify for phone but it makes my internet in pc sooo slow. Are there any way to get internet to phone via usb interface? Found some apps in play store but I think I would need another app in pc side
Probably with some hacking but I don't think it's possible as of now. Your only optionsare WiFi and mobile data.

Well if you have a laptop or a desktop with a Wi-Fi adapter, you can try this method: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/38835-42-create-virtual-wifi-router-internet-windows
I used it with this Wi-Fi adapter and it works just great.

[Q] Transfer files from PC using Wifi direct

I have wifi direct in my vaio and lenovo pc's but never successfully transfered files from them to my phone or phone to these devices using WIFI direct.
The regular wifi works fine but they are very slow.. The best so far was using Samba file sharing with speeds up to 2 MBPS
Has anyone been successfully connected your note 3 to PC via Wifi direct and transfered files
Thanks

How to Transfer Data from Nexus 4 in a fast way ? ?
I'm facing problem with transferring data from my nexus 4 as its full..
By connecting to USB it detects as portable device and data transfer speed is so slow rate.
I tried to download through Airdroid app n it takes more time too.
So is there any faster n safer way to transfer data from nexus 4 or any other good app which supports me for this in fixing issue..
Would be helpful n appreciate help !!
Use WiFi Direct if supported by your PC.
You can use es file manager and share a folder on your computer and share through Wi-Fi but will probably be like air droid

The easiest application to use for copying through Wi-Fi is through these applications :
*superbeam
*Wi-Fi file explorer
*Wi-Fi file transfer
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
