Downloading files from filesonic? How? - Eee Pad Transformer General

Hi
I have a question about downloading files from www like filesonic. I enter the captcha word and the file is ready to download. So I click on the link and the downloading is starting. But after few seconds am informed by my transformer that the downloading is a failure.
So I ask you. Is it possible to download any files from links like I do on my PC?

I get the same message with the stock browser and Dolphin HD.
Opera and and the new Dolphin for Tab work just fine when downloading from hosting sites.

Try using Firefox.

Can also try with Opera. It's what I keep it installed for.

Filesonic doesn't work with stock browser deposit files does tho

thanks. Opera works fine. But I wonder. Are there any downloading managers for android? Or something like jdownloader?

If it helps, I'm not having this problem at all with Dolphin HD or the stock browser. Let me know if you want to compare stuff (settings, configs, apps, etc.)...?
I haven't tried this on the Acer, but I had the same problem with my Droid x at first.
Go to the market and download "Download All Files". On the Droid, this is a browser addon for stock. Try to install it, launch it, then try the browser again. You might have to kill the process first aafter installing it.
I'm going to test it now for myself.
Download problems
Do you have 'Unknown Sources' checked in Settings-Applications? If not, you won't be able to do it.

Download mp3/apk from website

hi all, im using samsung galaxy sl.
i wan to download mp3 from mp3.sogou.com.
when i click the download button in the download page, i only manage to download the html of that page but not the mp3, so i wonder what is the problem....
i try to download apk from some website too, same thing happen.
the file showed to be download is .apk, but when downloading, it is .html.
when done, i open it, it is the html of the page that contains the download.
is there anyway to download mp3/apk from website (through internet)?
Try opera mobile or install "download all files" from the market.
''musicbox turkce'' apk downloads mp3 songs..try it
I'm not 100% sure if this works, but download astro file manager, free from the market...go to options/preferences and there is an option to download all file types, select that and see how it goes...

never had any success with file sharing website except hotfile, megaupload using firefox works sometime but hit or miss

[Q] why do file downloads fail?

Im coming from a nexus s running CM, and on that i was able to download any file on the net direct to the phone.
On my note, i have been trying to do the same thing, however, moments after the download starts, it fails and i get an error message saying that the type of file is not compatible with my device.
The files ive been trying to download are the plugins (such as nVidia) for chainfire 3d... It also happened yesterday when i was trying to download some custom boot animations.
This means i have to wait till i get home, download to my pc then transfer them.
is it because im on the stock rom, and future custom roms will fix this? Or is there something i can change that will sort this?
I am rooted.
Are you using the stock browser?
If so, why not try a different browser, give Opera browser a go and see if you have any more download problems.

can't seem to download .apks directly to fire

instead of sideloading .apks i tried uploading them to a mediahost like filesonic but whenever i try to download it via my kindle to install, my kindle just downloads a stupid 2kb .htm file instead of the .apk.
is there anyway to fix this? The download works fine on a computer but not on the fire.
EDIT: Using stock amazon silk browser, sorry i didn't include that.
Have this same problem on the galaxy s2...
I figured its a problem with some of the sharing sites that cause this... generally you wont have this on megaupload or mediashare or some other big ones...

What browser? Also get astro file manager and enable browser downloads in its preferences

Did you enable browser downloads in astro's preferences?
I had the same issue. I believe it's a problem on the host's end.

Guys,
Install dropbox on your computer and upload the files there. Then install it on your kindle fire and download/install your apk directly since they are automatically synchronised. It is much easy then using those file hosting sites.
dropbox gives you 2GB free, there are others that give you 5GB for free, like box.net, sugarsync.
