I agree with the above poster: you should then add those two options, too. I for example have multiple friends who belong in both of these "extra" categories, it'd be nice to be allowed to select something other than the default two..
That said I'm a happy female A500 owner And so far I've seen atleast two others here, that erica_renee -- Hiya there if you're reading this! -- and someone else who's nickname I don't remember.

I don't equate chromosomic gender with perceived gender, that's the difference.
Let's just stick to chromosomic gender or the OP will have to add waaaay more options to the poll.
As for me... I'm a man, my wife that also uses Iconia is a woman and sometimes I wish I had a camel but I don't know if the last one counts.

Guy here. I bought it to replace the bulky Netbook I had. Yes, for what I use it for, usually lounging on the couch or reading, a Netbook is too big.
However, it seems my wife has taken an immediate attachment to it, so it usually ends up in her hands within a half hour of my getting home from work.

Im not disagreeing with the mods. This guy should have been banned. But I dont disagree with vogue_trip either. I mean look at it. This guy made up a post that everyone knew was fake. Apparently used three screen names to do it, and its still not closed. Its pulled alot of time away from peoples threads that were serious. XDA is by far the best sight around. Anyone with a PPC comes here for every answer there is. The guy who started all of this is a joke and in my opinion doesnt deserve the benefits from this amazing sight. I noticed he was doing similar things @ ppcgeeks as well. So I dont disagree with this guys frustration but h went about it all wrong. So Im sticking with my opinion, 2 posts or a milliion. I've been looking around at all the roms etc and their change logs. They look like big improvements, so I updated to CM stable (worked fine, a little bit slow now and then) now I'm using the latest one which is meant to be the fastest but I find it hangs a lot, and is slow quite often.
Is anyone seeing this or is it just my phone.
I also have a question, when I shake my phone I can hear this ratteling sound, is that normal? my phone isn't new

To the OP: You might wanna try wiping your phone and maybe repartitioning your SD, see if any apk's your using have known conflicts with Cyan roms. Can you tell where the rattling is coming from? Also your phone is still under HTC warranty so you might be able to get them to fix it, just gotta pay shipping. Also if your on tmobile they might even do it for you for free.

Step 1 - Remind yourself that nothing anyone does on the forum besides the devs and the mods really matters.
Step 2 - When someone decides to create a thread to host their nightly builds of a new ROM for you to enjoy, don't criticize them for opening the thread before the ROM is ready. Doing this makes you an incredible asshole.
Step 3 - You can learn more from the devs and mods other than how to program. For instance, they have a sense of humor. All of you, apparently, do not.
Step 4 - People make mistakes. Jumping on them for doing this puts you under scrutiny. Be ready to have a spotless record...wait! You don't! "Hi pot, I'm kettle! You're black! Dur-ha!" (This is what you sound like, to me.)
Step 5 - Should the previous steps not have solved the problem of you being an uptight waste of carbon, I sometimes recommend the use of illegal narcotics. If nothing else has helped and you're still a complaining asshole, try this:
a) Purchase 1/8th oz high grade marijuana.
b) Take a portion of the marijuana and remove the pointy stems.
c) Roll the marijuana into a Zig Zag brand rolling paper.

Development is an "act of improving by expanding or enlarging or refining"
I don't see "asking questions answered dozens of times previously" or "saying oneself is creating a ROM based on source material that doesn't exist"

Wow. The main point of all of this was to somewhat humorously invoke some kindness in dealing with annoying people. I see that some are amused and some are not. Posting to development was part of the joke.
Obviously, it's not awesome to start a thread in the wrong section but IT'S NOT WORTH BLOWING UP OVER. Also, wishing me harm, banishment, bricked phone, etc is silly. RELAX.

All this anger over some silly trash talk in an attempt to get people to relax a bit.
To tell the truth, I find most people here pretty helpful. If I were to focus in on myself, I'd say that this was more inflammatory than I'd intended and that I've certainly missed some unwritten rule about not being playful or fun. For all my bluster, I can see how people could have mistaken this for actual condemnation.
I'll make an honest attempt to be more boring, in the future.

I've noticed a rather horrible grammatical habit of people lately; to use an ellipsis, not followed by a space. This is bad practice.

KJY requested, his account be terminated. Because of 1 person who made physical threats. This person knows who he is "adambomb". He decided it was enough of dealing with some people. So he requested, his account be terminated.
I agreed with him, to take over his thread, but then, some users posted links of modified roms of his, which were designed to mess up people's tablets, so I requested the whole threads be deleted.
KJY put out good stuff. And he worked hard, and asked for no donations or anything in return. He did it for the users. And he supported his work, like nobody else.
XDA, had a loss....... And the users, will suffer for 1 persons remarks.
And that, is the end.
Trust me, he is just fine. He is messing with the Transformer prime as we speak.
So expect an ICS Prime mod in their forum soon.
And yes, I will pass his "hello" to those who used his rom. And his regards.

I've been using KJY's rom for nealy 2 months now. It is way faster than the stock rom. So sad to hear what happened to him. Good Luck and thank you KJY.

He's developing for the Asus prime now, he doesn't even offer his a500 roms on his own website anymore.
You could try sending him a message and ask him for them.. He has a ftp site i think.
Im sure he might give them to you.. I also believe Moscow Desire will have them. But the Striker roms are the exact same rom with some theme changes..
I have them but would not distributed someones work nor do i have a pace to upload them .

I was looking for his instructions on what to do for installing a new ROM...You know wipe this and wipe that and format this and that. I have done the backups along with tiitanium backup. Anyways, Would love to get a copy of those or the videos...Thanks!!

Dudette , KJY's Roms and Civato's are completely different. As they may share the same build, you cannot compare them.
Civato de-odex's and zipaligns
KJY uses origin odex
Civato has lot's of scripts in init.d
KJY stays stock
I could give a ton of differences.
Both Roms are great, but, you can't compare them as being the same.
Like comparing a Mercury to a Merkur. Both are from Mercury, but 2 different beasts.

Any ways suks that kjy suffers the ill fated a500 XDA death.. like so many other great devs from the a500 forum..
He pissed me off alot but I put aside his comicle sarcasm and he helped me out alot with different things.
Erica I get whatchu mean the roms seemed similar at one point but like Moscow said they are now completely different. Even more so I think civs base is a500 and kjy is gw100 or what ever its called lol
I do wish a500 development was a different story I may end up selling this great machine due to well no one really devs for it anymore one plentiful is now ... not we can blame that on a lot of different people or things.
