So i'm about to buy a tv with samsungs ''AllShare'' function. i just wanted to know if anyone here has it and knows if it works with ours xperia x10 and is it fast/slow or any good. Thanks!
Unless you have allshare app install in your X10. If not, its not going to happen.
Only Samsung phones are pre loaded with allshare app.

Here is a video of a Samsung Wave (Bada platform) with a Samsung App that controls your TV.
You think Galaxy S might have something similar?

The SGS was supposed to launch with the same app but it's nowhere to be found. If you go to the SGS apps section there's a thread where we are talking about the missing apps from the adverts.
is there a third party app to use as a Tv Remote?
Tachikoma_kun is correct.
The thread you need to look at is listed here.
where's allshare I thought it was supposed to come with TW...we have touchwiz but still no sign of allshare!!!???
Too bad, I was looking forward to Allshare...

Allshare will come with the official TW update along with all the useless samsung apps/widgets...
I would wait for the OTA to come out and wait for someone to pull the apk
Till then we're all S.O.L
I got an Allshare apk and downloaded it on my rooted Tab (limited edition). moved it in the Apps directory and even changed the permissions but no luck, so probably have to wait, or does someone got any suggestions
I've tested a pre release 8.9 with a newer firmware, It had the AllShare client. the 10.1 eurospec device did not, and does not after the release. AllShare will be added to the device as a firmware update later on.
Just use Skifta from the market (it s free) untill Allshare gets added via firmware update. I have Allshare on my Galaxy S but I prefer Skifta so unless Qualcomm makes Skifta a payed app i'll keep using it anyway.
We want allshare samsung!
Hi guys
I wanted to know if anyone can port the Media Remote App that comes with the new Xperia Tablet S to the Note 10.1. I really like the features that the Tablet S has to offer in terms of the remote. Since both the tablets have an IR blaster, can this be made possible??
And how good is the Peel Remote given by Samsung??
If it has already been ported, can you kindly post the link here???
Not sure if that works!
Sony might have a different IR sensor. So different drivers nessesary.
IMHO Peel sucks! A: Needs online for new Remote (okay... you're always on newset source...) B: doesn't work with my Denon Audio... On/Off does, nothing else. And Humax isn't even supported!
TouchSquid might be nice. But only ON/OFF in free version! and i don't really want to pay 40$ ....
P.S Seems like Samsung gave to code to their IR transmitter, Sony didn't!
Sony's app is available on the play store. I have it on my tablet.

It is on the Play Store but it looks like that version only supports WiFi, no IR.

The only one that i found on the play store is the one which is used to control the Bravia series and the Sony BluRay players. I didnt find the one that sony is using in its new tablet. That one IMHO is KICK ASS AWESOME.
If any developers who have the new Tablet S, can you try to get the code from it and the apk to work in this???
@moderator: can this be put in the android development forum???
So my wife had my old N2 and I wanted to try the advertised AllShare feature of these phones out. Results so far are a fail.
The apps on the two phones don't look like any in any tutorial. The N3 had AllShare Play but the N2 had AllShare Cast. I can't get one to see the other. Has anyone tried this feature out and can shead sone light?

I know. No one uses All share but it was an advertised feature I thought I'd try. Sad to say the research I've done points to it not being backwards compatible

how you think it's possible get app from sony or samsung tv and put it in nexus and play some ps3 game use this services?
It would be nice. Sony is looking to go into the mobile division. They acquired Onlive. That service could stream fine over wifi. Had one, loved it.. It would be the easy, cool, practical.
I have a Sony TV which had the Playstation Now apk but I can't start it because it's not supported in my country. Anyone interested in the apk ?
I would love the apk. You still got it?
