Samsung Omnia Rom update

And there r so many changes in new rom i just flash the rom today
1 i found touch screen is responding very fast than last one.
2 i found samsung today one which is missing in last one
3 camera is much more grate then the last one
4 screen roation is diffrent then last one (and much more faster)
5 there r 3 today widgets r added to the screen
1. phonebook or Favorites
2. internet
3. wireless manager
6 in first rom when themassage came or misscall it doesnot showen on the widget today screen in this rom it does .....
7. document and business card reder is there for super fine performance i try it and it read allmost the whole doc. or card
8. some icon r chang but i think the cal. clock and camera icon chang
9. Google louncher is the new added
10. in keybord there is new added is samsung panal but i dont get that ? what is that chanies one ?
But i dont think this is the full rom because i seen one video of omnia rom on net which is diffrent thant this one in that video the full manu's r scrolling it scrolling settings,contects,programs, and ect.
and the page roatation is diffrent
and in samsung manu you can scroll dowen and also add more feachers
But samsung OMNIA is the ultimate device for today i love it..... and i wanted to told the big windows device manufactures do someting cretive like samsung do RND and then lounch the device. earler i purchase the dimond of htc it was so boring and slow and the battery is exoest in half day i sold that ****...... and purchase the omnia i found the battery life is 2 days even i resive and make the 100 call every day it is outstanding
I LOVE SAMSUNG OMNIA IT IS ONE OF THE BEST HANDSET EVER MADE IN WINDOWS MOBILES ...............................

Omnia bootload mode available?
Hi all
Anyone know if there is a bootload mode for Omnia?
I was updating my phone using the new firmware and it was halfway through 'file 2' and my computer froze up! All I could do was reboot the computer.
Now my phone is dead. It does not get recognised by ActiveSync to try to run the firmware again. The only thing that comes up on the phone is the first 'Samsung Omnia' logo.
Any Ideas?

The only way to repair your Omnia (for the moment), is to take it to Samsung Center Service, with this update from Samsung, you don't lose the waranty even if somethig goes wrong at update.

Hey there, cool to see omnia users on xda-dev
Maybe mine got shipped with a different rom, coz I already had google launcher in programs (but not the other changes).
Could you please all list your device infos, to check whether we all got the same or not ?
Here are mine : pda/phone i900DXHG2, bluetooth 2.0.3 & 2.0.1, wifi 0.4.3.1 & 1.0
You can find everything under settings -> system -> version
Also, here is another board with dedicated section for omnia
Do you know any other board ? There's also ppcsg with many infos but no dedicated section.
I tried a few button combination to achieve either a hardreset or bootloader access, but couldn't find anything up now.
Maybe with a microsd card and a password file, as on some other devices.
Any trick to share ?

I got error after two files download.
the ActiveSync Does not identify the device.

Welcome home, l had the same issue on last saturday, l couldn't even enter
the booting system, l called the seller to complain and he told me to send the phone back to singapore for repairs because l'm not the only one to have such issue. l'll send it tomorrow monday. hope this can cheer you up, no way out

Omnia Rom
Knowing this new rom is for Singapore only. Can Malaysia version use it? Any problem if we flash it with Singapore one?

Lagging
I had gotten an Omnia sometime last month. Before and after updating to their(Samsung) new official ROM, the Omnia stills seems to be lagging under performing. What could the problem be? The last update was at the service center.
Any good roms to recommend?

you ALL need to read i900.modaco.com and check out the ROM FAQ at the top.
It tells you how the names of the roms translate, what they mean and how it affects you. It will also tell you about the latest roms and which have been tested including the latest J5 rom. It will also tell you about the two methods you have for rom flashing.

I feel to receive a 3G dual-band: 900 and Umts 2100 and not Gsm: Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900).

Phone Function Issue

I noticed a very annoying bug at my phone: sometimes when I end a call the phone function stalls (the icon on the upper bar shows conversation in progress)
The only way to use the phone function again is to soft reset it. Lately I get the same problem but without the icon that shows conversation in progress. During this time all the incoming calls are not prompted. Basically on the caller side my phone "rings" but my phone doesn't even notice the incoming call. This prevents me from receiving very important calls that affect my business.
I cannot upgrade my ROM (1.14.479.3 ) since there is no official version for my region.
Any of you have this problem ? Shall I bring it to service ?
Please tell me your thoughts

seems like a software issue, which region is your phone in? have you tried updating your software through HTC website?

For Romania there is no official version released. I cant upgrade ROM/Radio without losing my warranty.

i had the same problem after installed a hot fix from HTC, even hard reset and reinstall the ICR program the phone just lockup when I made a call. I can talk in that call but the whole phone just won't response to any keys or touch screen. After 2 days playing around with countless hard reset I decided to flash the same ROM from computer and the problem seems gone now.

Sure you can You are currently using a WWE ROM right? You can use USPL or HSPL to flash a newer official WWE ROM. In the event you need to return the phone just flash the original ROM (and SPL) back to your phone and they will never know. The original ROM you are running now is available on the Wiki, and here is a direct link. If you need help flashing ROM's you can read the guide in my signature and post questions in that thread
On a side note- I have had that issue before as well. It does seem like a bug in some software on the ROM as flashing different ROM's seems to make it go away (or reappear )

My phone's screen stopped responding few weeks ago and I brought it to service. They changed its front side with a brand new one (I am not sure if the screen only because I even get better audio quality during calls). I am telling you this just to underline that when I took it back from service the ROM was flashed again (same version though) because the menus used to be in English and now they are in Romanian. So if I am not mistaking my hard resets + services ROM flashing (into the same version though ) didn't fix this issue.

I am aware that I am able to use a newer ROM. I read the wiki and I know how to do it but if for some reason what I mentioned above (screen completely stopped responding and it was changed) happens while the new ROM is on the phone I will lose my warranty.
Since I opened this issue I changed the sim with a newer one. The old one was 7 years old...
Thank you for your feedback and for letting me know I am not the only phone owner having this annoying bug.

Official updates go by as original ROM, they install without HardSPL if there is an update for your version of the device, so if you have an Official ROM which you have flashed, there's no need to worry for warranty.

Basically, any of the official rom updates for your device available on HTC or wiki can be flashed to your phone without HSPL or USPL and will not void warranty.

I tried with this one but when I insert my serial it says its not available for my region.

Still I managed to download it using some serial I found on the web. But when I started the flashing process it says its not meant for my phone and aborted

Is your phone branded? Did you get it new? I ask because it doesn't look like it was a WWE device...

I bought it brand new from an online store. I didn't buy it from a provider like Vodafone or Orange.
One of my colleagues bought it from Vodafone few days ago and he has exactly the same ROM version as I have. None of us is able to download the previously mentioned ROM version from HTC website using the imei.

RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.14.479.3_Radio _52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship is the ROM you currently have on your phone. There are no "official" updates for your particular CID.
Your real only current choice if you want to flash a newer HTC ROM would be to use USPL or HSPL and flash another official WWE ROM. You could always flash back the original if you needed to return the phone for warranty purposes. Sorry bud.

there is only 1 way that i know of and this is after weeks of searching .
you have to use a ''jtag'' box and a program ''riff''
everything that you need to know and see how is done is in youtube and you find it searching : HTC HD2 T-mobile US boot repair
this guys are in poland , and the site is www.multi-com.pl
i found them on youtube and i send my phone to them
have in mind that they sell products for fixing phones but is expensive
so i asked them if they want to help and fix
and they did a very good job
what you guys need to do is mail them and see how much is the shipment
for me it was more expensive to pay the shipment than to pay the phone repair

ok i think i have bricked my phone ... it starts up but it stays on the htc screen....sometimes it loads up the rom after a few minutes but then it never passes the screen where it says "setting up the phone for first use".... how can u help????

well your in luck , is not briked if it starts up , what you need to do is run a task 29 , then reflash your phone with a energy rom , that is what i use and is very good , good luck , let me know how it goes .

My phone stays on the htc screen and doesn't do anything else. I performed a Task 29 last night. And it did this to my htc hd 2 phone now it doesn't want to turn on I mean it does but it stays on the Stck Together screen. Should I call T-Mobile and get a new phone ? What should I do ?

well if your phone is in guaranty yes you can tell them that one day it just got stuck , don't mention anything about you trying to flash a rom ore that you played with it!!!! cuz they will not exchange anything.
BUT you can try this : get a Energy ROM from t-mobile hd2 rom development and flash it . if you dont know the proper steps please read posts with instructions how to properly flash it ,
after this if you did everything rite your phone should be ok .
i repeat if you phone dose turn on even if is an error ore it gets stuck , is still working and is not briked . so you can still fix it you self . if it dose not turn on no led no nothing then is briked , contact me if you have other questions

ok i have done the task 29... i was really excited , i had this feeling it was going to work... but after the install i tryed putting a rom in ( an energy rom like u recommended) n it frizzes during the loading bar... i have tryed many time n it stops after a few loads... for example .. sometimes it goes to 24% n stops,... then i tryed again . it stoped at 56% ... n i kept on trying n it stops on various percentages what can be the problem??? plz help cuz i cant even use my phone at all

ok i have just tryed tht n it still freezes at different percentages...n no when i first got it i got it to flkash without anyproblem... n then an update came out for the energy rom so i decided to update after the update it worked for a few days or weeks n then it decided to keep freezing n all so i tryed a new rom n thts when it stops working now... n when i mean stop working i mean it stops the process in nthe middle or so

well i think you have to send it back , if you have guaranty ore if not take it to a service , cuz i dont see why it sould not work after you did everything....
all i can say is just try 1 more time to install the rom from t-mobile , official !
but don't use nothing just install it , be careful , for t-mobile hd2 you need t-mobile rom from www.t-mobile.com!!!

1. Try re-starting the computer.
2. Charge your HD2 fully
3. Format an microSD card and try installing the image from SD Card

[Q] [HELP] phone bricked by flashing the latest frimware from Huawei

Hi,
After some hesitation I just flashed the new General Overseas firmware that I downloaded from Huawei's website. The flashing process seemed to go fine, but afterwards the phone turned off, and now I cannot make it turn on again.. I tried charging it but no response. On/off key does absolutely nothing. Also no luck pushing volume buttons + power.
I noticed that during flashing the red LED turned on and off a few times, I don't know if that's normal or not.
Anybody got some help? I am quite desperate because I really need my phone!

Put battery out for 5 min and then try again.

Hey, at last I'm not alone with this problem. I broke my 8800 pro just like you. 2 Service Centers told me that problem can't be fixed with "software healing". Only changing the motherboard or bootloader can help solve this problem and a bit of our money for a new device.
Tell me please details. How does you flash your device? With which firmware? And etc.

Have any of you tried to contact Huawei on their website and asked for help? I mean, it is their fault that your device is broken because of an official update, downloaded from their site..

I agree with this.
You must contact them, to push them for a solution and to inform them that this firmware update bricks the devices, so to remove it from download section.

The exact same thing happened to me about a month ago. I was trying to install B138 and after the update the phone turned off once and for all
Relax people the update process was ALMOST complete, that beeing said the phone is "clean" with no traces of rooting or other tampering. Take out your memory card and send it for service. They'll change the mainboard and all is well. Apart from the "waiting for a month to return" part.
If Wind Hellas and Huawei Greece actually managed to repair it for free everyone else is bound to do it too.

Does any of you know if it is normal that the battery LED goes on a few times during flashing? I have a theory that the battery might have gone empty during flashing (though its was over 40% full at the start). Yesterday, I accidentally dropped the battery; when I put it back in the phone it actually tried to start up and showed the Huawei screen. Then it went off again. Maybe the battery is just so dead that it doesnt even charge anymore (is that possible?)
The solution would be to try another battery or to charge it in some other way, so I'm gonna see if I can do that.
The ROM I flashed is U8800 V100R001C00B138SP04(Normal).
I did install recovery and superboot from Modaco, and i repartitioned to have more space for apps. So I think they will see some traces of tampering if I send the device back for repair. However, if the battery thing doesnt work, I will contact Huawei. I saw on their website there was a service centre of Huawei in Germany, I might go there to bring it for repair. Does any of you have experience with their service centres?

I had the exact same idea. The LED flashes red during the update but my battery was at 95% when i started it the first time.
"Off" charging depends on your recovery image, judging by the fact that some custom ones didnt offer that option at first. Did you have perfect recovery on? Try leaving the battery off the phone for a few minutes and then plugin it in straight away.

The Service in Moscow that is in the Official Huawei Service Centre List told that they will not repair it for free because the device was bought in China

Oh, ebay? Well.... Thats the downside of online shopping. I bought it from a store in greece so i just took it back :/

That's just pure wrong. You Russians have such a weird distrust towards China that even Service centre of a Chinese brand of phones mistrusts "China made/bought" products!

Problem Updating (VNS-L21C02B346)

Hi, i have a problem and i need a little help!
My sister gave me this Huawei p9 lite VNS-L21C02B346.
From what i can understand the code means that this model is for Greece (c02 is for Vodafone Europe). I think that's ok because when it turns on i can see a Vodafone logo!!
So i am in B346 version, and with a little search i did i see some b393 versions for example but i see that this versions is for Europe (c432).
So i would like to know if i can install this version in my phone. I try to download these versions from 2 different sites and make a dload folder in my sd card with UPDATE.APP file in it and try to update and from dialer and from reboot with holding volume up and down key. But with these two methods when the update starts it fails in 5% and the only choice is to reboot the phone......
I am doing something wrong or is something else i am missing ....

From what i can understand the code means that this model is for Greece (c02 is for Vodafone Europe). I think that's ok because when it turns on i can see a Vodafone logo!!
So i am in B346 version, and with a little search i did i see some b393 versions for example but i see that this versions is for Europe (c432).
So i would like to know if i can install this version in my phone. I try to download these versions from 2 different sites and make a dload folder in my sd card with UPDATE.APP file in it and try to update and from dialer and from reboot with holding volume up and down key. But with these two methods when the update starts it fails in 5% and the only choice is to reboot the phone......
I am doing something wrong or is something else i am missing ....

you've been much lucky you haven't bricked your device this way...
I suggest you to keep phone as is because rebrand needs some complicated procedures.
In any case i can tell you how to proceed, here you are...
1 - you need to unlock bootloader. ( can use DC-UNLOCKER to grab your code )
2 - flash a custom recovery for android 7. ( EliteTWRP 3.1.1-1 shoul do the work )
3 - Find and download L21C432oeminfo for dual sim + VNS-L21C432B504 FULL OTA MF ( three (3) files ) ( you can use Firmware Finder ).
4 - Use REBRAND following THIS GUIDE.
5 - Don't forget to thank developers who created those guides.
6- Enjoy.

No in any way i am never going to point you for anything! I know the risks, my old phone i have been really hard with it by changing roms every week!!! Never broke!!
this is a new phone and i don't know it yet!
Well the most important reason i would like to update is for security reasons (newer version), i don't really have a problem with the phone as it is.... (if you exclude the sickness for changing roms and play with phone!!!) but i think Vodafone in Greece will never give an other update for that phone.
So to get it right, for any rom change (stock or custom) we have to unlock bootloader is that right?

Hey greecian friend, yes it's right, and rebrand will help keep security updates.
You should have not problem doing the work, only pay attention when flash oeminfo file.

P.S.: You wrote you wanted to install B393... well it is for single sim model. ( if i'm not wrong you are dual sim B346;
firmware that ends with 'even' numbers = dual sim; ends with 'odd' numbers = single sim )

For start i think i have a problem for start! If i understand right from all i have read, huawei stop giving codes for unlock the bootloader, so first step problem i think! And i didn't understand if it is safe (works 100%) to get a code from HCU Software and pay!)
I saw you have aosp 8.1, everything working in this ROM?

Worst thing may happen is throw away 4 €, no one can assure you 100% will work.
I know you can use that money for better personal stuff, choise remains yours.
Till a couple of months this method worked, read THIS thread, member ba_baracuss done a rebrand
like you starting from C02 vodafone firmware to C432 EU unbranded one.
Read AOSP 8.1 thread too, atleast last 10 posts, you'll find a member that came from Greece just like you.
