Phonebook problem on Xda2

I've just bought myself a shiney new Xda2, but when I put in my SIM card, I cannot access my phonebook & sms messages stored on it. Strangely though, when a number in the phonebook calls me, the Xda2 manages to access my phonebook & tells me who is calling. Any clues on how I can recover my phonebook & text messages?
use the sim manger not sure if it works havent got any numbers on my sim card but its there
Yes, use sim manager, then click and hold stylus over required number and choose save to contacts, if you want them all saved to contacts then choose select all then save to contacts. I have no idea about the sms messages.
Thanks for the assistance. ^_^ I can get by without the text messages. I believe they were stored on my old phone itself, rather than the SIM card, so no transferring them. :/

SMS on SIM card

Is there any way to access SMS messages on the SIM card? I have messages saved on there from my previous phone, but they do not show up in Messaging.

129 Messages

I think the HD2 is no good at permanently deleting this SIM resident message for some reason.
I've found that the best way to get rid of the '129' text messages is to put your SIM card in a different phone (one that can browse the SIM messages) and delete the 129 message that way.
When you replace the SIM in your HD2, the message doesn't return upon reboot.

SMS's go to SIM card and re-appear

I haven't found the way out yet so I'm asking for some help.
Whenever I receive an SMS alert from my home Alarm (only), it is stored in SIM card instead of phone and as a result, even though I delete them, at restart they re-appear.
I use GoSMS by the way and the only thing I did on that contact was to try and set individual alert for that number and then I removed that setting. I don't know if that messed anything but eversince, I uninstalled completely GoSMS and re-installed but still, all messages from my Alarm go to SIM card.
The only way to remove them is to enter the stock messaging application, select to view messages dtored in card and there I see all those messages only. I delete them from there and they are gone.
How can I ask my phone to store messages from my alarm in the same location as with other messages?

Nexus 4 sms saving into sim card.

Hello there,
I am facing a strange issue in my nexus 4. Its related to SMS that i receive. Issue is all the message i receive gets save in internal memory, but messages from one particular contact is getting saved in SIM MEMORY every time, which is eating up sim memory and once SIM memory is full i phone asks me to delete sim message to recieve another message. And ITS HAPPENING WITH ONLY ONE CONTACT NOT WITH ALL CONTACTS IN MY PHONEBOOK.
Kindly help. Waiting for suggestions.
Thanks
Have you looked in the settings of the messaging app? There's an option to Manage SIM card messages under Text (SMS) messages.
Yes that setting only shows the SMS present in SIM. So whenever i receive any SMS from that contact it goes to SIM and I go to MANAGE SIM CARD MESSAGE setting and delete all the SMS. And again if I receive SMS from contact it goes and stors again in SIM.
I even deleted all SMS and even that contact and its call history, but again its getting saved in SIM for that particular contact. For rest its storing in internal memory.
