About 2 of them app(ereader.apk and widget.apk),as i know, the ereader.apk is a primary and most importantm, whether the widget working, it not influence on system .
About ROM,it is desire hd ROM for HD2(no offical version),android2.3.3,mix sense2.1 and sense3.0,nor pure sense2.1.i think them maybe reason.
Dear "htccraze",can you support me a good ROM,which can be running ereader correctly(if contain sense3.0 is best).thanks

I will when I can get by a computer but i won't be by one for atleast a few days.

Ok,thanks so nuch.i am waiting........

Im not 100% on this but you could try either this ROM or this ROM. i couldn't find much info or any at all if it had it working or it didnt. i would think though if it wasn't working they would of listed it somewhere in the thread. If you still dont have any luck trying to find a ROM then i would check out this webpage. It lists all the ROMs that are posted on XDA in a much easier way to find them. it also gives some nice (but short) info on each ROM. you can also click "show all android builds/ROMs which will give you a lot of ROMs to look through.
as always double check to make sure the ROM you flash is right for your phone.
neither of the ROMs listed above are sence 2.0 but if you want to try this ROM but im not sure if it has it working or not. again i didnt see if it was or if it wasn't. if you find the apk you could always try to place it inside system/apps to see if it would work.
oops. not sure how to fix it if you already tried but i can say that some ROMs it just wont work on even if you try that so maybe the problem is with your ROM and not how your placing it in system/apps.

HD2 Image Backup

I want to install and play around with the Android ROMs that are available for HD2. I was wondering if there is a way I can make an image of my ROM as it is right now, and later on flash it back if I don't like the Android ROM on my HD2.
Save time and read the 1st and 2nd sticky posts on this page. Everything you need to know is all there. Also, I know rules are a b*tch, also explained there, make sure you follow them and avoid any incoming angry posts about not using the "search" function. To answer your question, Android runs off the memory card so windows is shut down prior to booting android, they're isolated for the most part. Hope that helps.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I know that Android runs off the SD card, but that was not my question. They recommend that a very light version of WM be installed prior to running Android and I can understand why. However, if I install the light version of WM I will loose whatever I currently have. That is why I am wondering if there a way I can create an image backup of my current ROM.
Are you running a stock rom? There's a sticky in the tmousa rom section with links to all the stock roms. It's easier to just grab a copy, you'll just need to back up your data.
Yes... I am runing a stock ROM. Any good backup apps to recomand that can backup my programs, settings and data?

I didn't change my WM ROM, it's shut down by haret. So unless you're having specific problems like that awful robovoice then you shouldn't worry about changing your rom. As for backup, I use SPB or Sprite backup, the latter my preference.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I use SPB...works the best IMO. I've actually had to use it a few times after changing the zimage...it seems to kill my sense every time I load a new zimage.

Easy root access for (nand) HD builds

Here's a very easy way to gain root access to your Nand HD builds. Some have mentioned something called z4root from the market but every time i put that in search it couldn't find it. What i DID find was an app called Super Manager that works like a charm and has many functions such as task manager, apk manager, file explorer, and app back up. What you want to do first is go to settings(where you can access just about anything..shake capture, full screen mode, font size..etc.)then go to 'enable root function'. After that, you'll be able to go into root explorer..and enjoy.
If you can't find them on the market, you can always find them HERE
hey thanks lude. that page must have eluded me cause i had no idea it existed..probably because i never really checked the android only pages. i usually hovered around the hd2 android pages.anyways,thanks.i have one question for you..i hear allot about busybox but i'm not exactly sure what it is..or the magic behind it. could you explain?

Basically it gives you additional unix/linux commands so you can deploy different tasks at the root level. Similarly, it's like having a registry editor in windows for you to slice and dice around.

ROM Manager downloads for HD2

Will all us HD2 users ever be able to download .zip ROMs straight from ROM Manager? And possibly even have Cyanogen nightly support for HD2?
I was just wondering as this would make installing new ROMs so much easier, instead of having to connect to my PC etc.
Replies welcome.

isnt that what CWM does? you download the zip to your phone and flash fromthe phone, no need to hook to a pc
Yes but so far there is no support for HD2

Yes but it would be much more practical, and we wouldn't be able to receive nightlies, and not all Roms are on here! If you look in rom manager in the desire sections there are lots of roms I have never seen mentioned on xda before

Youre right.
I use desire z, and has Rom Manager installed.
If I want to flash new rom, I just open the ROM Manager and let it download and run it. And it will reboot to the new rom (custom Rom, actually)
But, I usually cannot stay long, I always go back to stock rom because I really miss sense UI
Cheers

Hello
I have little problems.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/830/snap20110624224917.png/
I tried to install v6 at first, then flach v8 (without wipe) and there are still no wallpapers!
When I open 0001_WildPuzzleROM_v0.8.zip from the PC .. I see wallpapers there.
So they didn't copy during the installation?!
if it matters I root my phone with AlphaRev. In the moment I'm with recovery-clockwork-3.2.0.0.zip + recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.7-buzz.zip
see that:
Baseband version:
11.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10
Kernel version:
2.6.32.21-g8f75634
I did not go on cus I'm not sure is everything is going to be ok.
P.S.
When I calc 10 post - i copy this here:

You're not alone. I have same problem, too. There's a lot more missing things like setup wizard, input languages other than English, etc... Not just wildpuzzle, same situation applies to some other custom roms I tried.
Weird thing is that there's no problem with old wildpuzzle 8.0.11. Maybe some dev would come out and compare it with others to find out what's wrong.

HTC wildfire cyanogenmod nightly
hboot -1.01 s-off
@bynge: It doesn't matter even if you flash a ruu dude, I tried it. There's no problem with wildpuzzle 8.0.11. So in your words, does this mean wildpuzzle developer's work is better than stock?
Anyway, do you have any solution to the situation, or...?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Same problem with the rom Jokerdroid and DK. I have noted that also the tone gallery in empty (if i open the stock notification editor for incoming calls i found the tones, when i search for them with other applications like alarm clock i can only use the downloaded ones)

Yes, and in my view, it is. If you cannot offer a solution, atleast don't troll.
Solution:
Install old version (131.9mb) -> everything is OK.
flash new v8(126.3mb) without wipe and still OK (wallpapers and scenes)
now tested other things.
sry for bad EN.

100%.
The things that are limited by stock version will be overcomed by dev software.
Personally i got S-OFF, bluetooth wireless pan tethering (kernel dependent) , live wall papers, better battery, and many other things.....
If everyone tells what they got benefited by dev software, then the list will be really huge.....
I also heard that wifi N and newer htc sense got enabled in devices that are not supported by stock (not sure about sense). Depends on what u consider. IMO, like i said 100%.

Try to compare the update-script files of both, and see if there is any part "missing" or something.
If both are alike/the same, then create a recovery-logfile just after flashing the latest wildpuzzle rom. Perhaps it will clear some things.
Erwin
Could it be a problem related to AlphaRev?
this morning i've flashed an ruu stock rom and the problem is still here: empty htc wallpaper.
I doubt this is a wildpuzzle bug cause I've never flash one of those rom (only cyanogen, jokerdroid, dk).
the only things in common are alpharev and clockworkmode (i'm using cwm2.5) but the latter is out there since too long to discover a bug just now.
I restore stock and no problem ..
did you restore stock through recovery or the executable ruu?

I flashed ruu via fastboot using pc49img.zip method and problem is still there. Exe file always interrupted by battery lower than %30 error no matter what is battery level.
And yes, it's not a wildpuzzle related error. It happens in all custom roms and ruu except wildpuzzle 8.0.11.

Are you definitely sure that it isn't there? Considering that it does come installed stock.
Otherwise, install it from this link: http://code.google.com/p/synergy-base/source/browse/trunk/system/app/Vending.apk?r=239

You really should go back to wherever you bought it from and ask for an explanation.
If that doesn't work out for you, a simple way to install it without connecting it to your computer would be to install ROM Manager and then install Google Apps from there. I personally would take the new Market from the XDAForums.
Hey, if you are going to install the market, it might as well be the new one.
How can he install ROM Manager easily without the Market, and what use would that be? I've merely provided the apk, that's all there is to it.
To the OP, remember to allow installing from unknown sources under Settings > Applicationa
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
I see your point.
I was just assuming that if he didn't have the market, he probably didn't have some g apps either.
Doing it either way is easy enough, and in any case, and if you're going to install through an apk, then you might as well take the new one (that said, I haven't checked out your link as yet).
Does ROM Manager give a flashable package or a bunch of apks? Because again, if he isn't rooted, he can't flash zips either...knowing ROM Manager, I'm presuming they are zips.
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
ROM Manager deals with installing Google Apps the same way it deals with any other ROM. It is a pretty useful thing tto hhave, especially because a lot of ROMs ship without Google apps.
So yeah, I'm guessing that you would have to root.
