Updated Speedtest.net app!

I finally just got an update for the ookla speedtest.net app from the market! The interface is all new! Yay!

going to check this out

I didn't see anything new to the app other than a cosmetic change. Meh.

Nothing looks much different since i last used it 2 weeks ago lol.. either way, I'm sure this isn't G2 specific, any reason why it wasn't posted in the apps/games forum lol ?

You do know that the same company made both speedtest apps for iphone and android...

I think the ui revamp has made the app a bit better imo. Definite improvement.

Thanks but that keyboard is nothing like sense keyboard
The main feature I like in sense one is how intelligently it is correcting the worlds in big variation of languages

New market

The new market is abysmal. Whoever designed that piece of crap design should have their head examined. Same with the person who looked at it and approved it for distribution.

Its wild! My first reaction is that it's too visually cluttered. I like all the new functionality, but miss the clean interface. Not that I loved the old market either. they should have went with something like the new google plus app theme. Dark but clean and uncluttered.

I like the new market app. Smooth and intuitive. On rooted stock 2.3.4.

I have some "problems" with it.
For ex. the Facebook app description is in Spanish and the IMDB descrition in German.
Can anybody verify this on their phone?

I did notice one app description in Spanish, can't remember which one... thought I was loosing it

Yeah.. I was looking at it this morning and I didn't have my coffee yet so I thought so too

N.O.V.A. 2 HD is also in Spanish! Is there a way to change it back to English?

Another issue (I don't know if it's related to the new market) is that Google Maps is missing from the market app and from the web market:

Yeah I had that "issue" with the facebook app as well. Also I noticed when looking at the comments on an app the newest ones are not on the top. They seem completely random. I just rolled back to the previous market. Oh well, it looked nifty.

Very Metroish look and feel, but I love it. Metro is the prettiest thing that has happened phones ui and copying it equals using logic.

Tried it out. Its lags all around but I like the launcher it self. Would be nice to see it run more smoothly. Also got alot of FC. To be expected though. Running IHO

Yea something about transfer setting the basic settings work though it is still in beta so I will update the apk as they make them

good jooob, (even tough u may not made it,) but its looks awesome but its sucks when using the button to right, its awefully bad, and shows recent apps, (i dont use or got mail, but its in recent list, how funny, )

The App is nice but I like using the ICS theme for ADW Ex better. It looks nicer and it has the real icons. If only I could get a stand alone app of the menu carousel and the keyboard!

Request: new sidekick 4g rom for evo

If anyone else would enjoy it I would love to see a new sidekick rom for the evo. Or maybe just the lockscreen. I personally know nothing about porting and compiling roms. Thanks in advance for any devs that read this and Fu** any trolls out there that don't like the idea

I think the only way to do it is for someone to make a sidekick theme. I don't think the ROM could be ported.

I really just like the lockscreen. The rest of the rom reminds me of a tweaked motoblur. And that's no bueno. But even just a theme or even a widget locker skin would be fine for me

Have you tried widget locker? It's a replacement lock screen app with tons of themes. It has it's own thread in the themes and apps section of Android development and hacking.
