[Q] Any Online poker sites that work on the A500? - Acer Iconia A500

Has anybody found any online poker sites (real money) that work well on the A500? I just tried PartyPoker and it's instant play wouln't load, I thought it might just be flash and work, but I guess not. PP is the only online poker site I'm registered with that has these non-downloadable clients, so please let me know if you know something that works. Thanks!

World Cup 2006 on universal ?

does anybody tryed it ? i mean using TCPMP it's possible ?and if it's possible where i can find the url's ?
I think you need to go into more details...
Are you talking about streaming your service providers content, or what exactly?
If it's your service providers conent, you need to find out, what protocol it is being sent tru..
If it's RTSP, well good luck, and let me know, once you've worked it out, cuz i'm here in the dark at the moment.
I don't know of any sites that are allowed to stream the games. At least in the US, not that it matters the US team stinks!

Well I know in australia, you can sign up to a pack with 3, that streams SBS (Free to air channel who have are broadcasting everygame) over the network.
It's $8, but i can't fricken RTSP protocol to work.
BBC.co.uk is streaming the games (it will check you IP address to make sure you are in the UK though). I didn't try it on my universal, but I suppose it could work.

I'm not sure how the games are being broadcast since I do not follow the world cup(sorry), but if they are being broadcast on tv and you have a tv capture card give www.orb.com a try. It works great and will let you stream live tv from your computer to you device. It's also free.....

Football games on Wing?

Currently I have the MLB package to listen to baseball games on my Windows Mobile device for $5/mo. To my knowledge, NFL.com does not offer such a deal. My local station's Web site requires Flash to stream audio, which I have installed but of course Opera Mini doesn't believe that. I'm wondering if anyone has a solution for listening to NFL games on the Herald. I'm not sure I want to pay for a Sirius subscription yet.
To answer my own question, I found one site that has a bunch of links for each team. Most of the links are either dead, point to something else entirely, or won't play on a mobile device, but fortunately there are several links for each team so hopefully one for either the home or away team will work for you. Wow, that was a long sentence. Sorry. Anyway, here's the link:
http://www.thegamelive.com/footballnfl.html
Clicking on the station's call letters (in red) is the way to go, rather than the site to the right. in most cases, it is the direct link to the MMS.
Hopefully this helps someone. If anybody knows of a better site with better links, please let me know. I'm hoping these links still work during the regular season and the NFL doesn't do some goofy blackout thing like MLB likes to do.

mobitv?

Does anyone know of a free mobitv-like program?
not free: spbtv
free: skyfire + tv site with live stream
mobitv
PocketStreamer is one I can think of.
I would have said Skyfire and Hulu.com up until last month. Now, for some reason, Hulu has blocked access via Skyfire.
Does anyone know why?
I use Myplayer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501131 in the uk and it works great.
Has any on ATT managed to get Mobitv to work on the Tilt2?

Hulu likes to keep their crap proprietary. Skyfire came out and stated the reasoning here:
http://www.skyfire.com/blog/2009/09/11/a-note-about-hulu-on-skyfire/
With Hulu blocking now, I've just about given up on mobile tv. I've tried just about everything, and really results are usually the same. There is no good US programming online.
A couple months ago watching Family Guy or a decent 10 year old movie online was nice. Now.... watching the weather forecast for Latvia or an Indian music video channel has left me sad=(
If I'm missing something, speak up please!

Follow the link in that response to the actual reply someone got from Huluu on the subject. It's amusing.
Their excuse is complete BS. There is no difference as a medium from watching Hulu on a phone vs. PC, since Skyfire provides a "desktop" mobile surfing experience anyways.
Perhaps the real reason is they feared apps like Mplayer that pulled their content without showing their full page, which I could see losing them some ad revenue. Still, it was only limited content to begin with. Their response if that's the case is a touch heavy-handed.
EDIT: Actually, since most of the networks charge for a mobile app to stream their content..... I guess it does make sense why Hulu was pressured to shut it down.
Back to the MobiTV, I am more than happy to pay(actually signed up for it) for MobiTV thru ATT, I just need an installable *.cab, if one exists

[Q] Freeview TV guide app for WinMo?

I noticed that there was an iphone app for browsing the freeview tv schedule in the UK. Has anyone found something similar for windows mobile devices? Or do you know of any program that has the ability to download weekly updates for tv viewing? It would be nice to have an app for this.
In a totally separate question, has anyone found any Mpeg-4 usb tv sticks that can receive the new Freeview HD signals yet? I've used an mpeg-2 stick for a while and synced programs to my blackstone before, but would like to upgrade to a new HD stick. I've written to a few main players in this market, ie. Hauppuage, and they say that they won't have a product out until just before the world cup.
As an alternative perhaps someone knows of an RSS feed for the guide info?
There is one called On TV v1.31 uk, but you can't store the listings,I'm looking for one like that.

The pics aren't loading on that msmobiles site for me, and I can't see that working on the HD.
And I've already scoured google to a depth of 20 pages or so with little success.
I've started attempting to write a little program to do the things I wanted with it. As I suck at programming it's going to take a while, but if I ever get it finished i'll post it on here.
I hadn't tried this site on my HD until now, but it actually formats fantastically on the HD (on Opera, both vertical and horizontal):
http://www.tvcatchup.com/guide.html
If you sign up, you can then watch the channels, but as it's flash its only watchable on the PC, unwatchable on the HD
