Folks,
Had a really weird event happen today. My stock ICS offical Toshiba image (non rooted) Thrive was rebooted as it was kind of acting slow; when rebooting, I get the 'nonrecoverable bootloader error' on the Toshiba splash screen. Can't even shut the device off....I have to pull the battery out. I did this a couple of times and got to the same bootloader error message.
I tried powering up with the volume down key and it booted ok. Rebooted it again to test and it boots just fine now.
Anyone seen this issue occur by itself (i.e. no root attempts or no flashing attempts?)
If the flash was corrupted, I'm not sure how it would have fixed itself.
I'm wondering if this is just a foreshadowing of things to come with perhaps the flash going bad.
Any insight or ideas would be appreciated. Hopefully this isn't a hardware failure starting to manifest itself.
I'm up and running now but I'm still confused how just booting with the down arrow on power-up would solve the problem.
thx.

Its not common but does show up occasionally. If it gets stuck again pull both batteries for half an hour or longer then seen if it clears up, if not, dalepl may be able to help.

My Zuk has a weird issue.
Randomly, it reboots itself, and when it boots up the image is flickering. If I reboot manually it stops.
Anyone else experiencing this? It stopped doing that with CM13, but in the last days it started doing it again.
I tried a clean flash but it keeps doing that.
I too have this problem bro. For me it started after i unlocked fastboot. Sometimes the rebooting gets into a loop. Am not sure but I think it happens when the phone heats up.
New phone. Opened the box and this is what's been happening.
The phone stays in a bootloop (first screen, followed the the blinking Samsung logo, back to first screen - repeat).
After a while, sometimes, it actually boots into Android. I see the Welcome screen that is seen at first boot on new Samsung devices. At this point, I can tell the phone is really hot right above the SIM slot (no SIM in phone, nor memory card). It stops responding to touch and gets stuck. I have to pull out battery to restart.
Once it restarts, it's back to the bootloop. Then again after some time it might randomly go into Android, get hot, reboot.
Is this a hardware issue? Or is this fixable?
I've already:
Flashed stock MM
Reset
Wiped cache
Hi! I got my Essential Phone from someone that had it boot loader unlocked etc. I have experience with flashing and all so it was not a problem for me. Yesterday when I got the phone I went here and flashed AOSIP Rom again since it was the one it had but a wanted to make sure to have a fresh install etc. All working fine by then until about an hour ago the phone turned it self off and now it doesn't do anything. Every time it finally boots it shuts down again. If I try and enter recovery or Bootloader for fastboot, same thing. Sometimes it holds up for about 20 seconds and goes back to Off and be unresponsive for a period of time.
Has anyone had this problem before? If so, is this a Hardware problem?
I can't fix it by computer so I don't know what I am into right now. Its the only phone I have so I'm kind of stressed right now
Hello,
I'm currently experiencing a bootloop on my phone, it gets to the resurrection remix logo screen during boot then restarts. I've tried booting into recovery and download mode. When I try to boot into recovery it loads the factory reset screen as usual but when I say yes to the reset in order to launch TWRP it just goes to the LG logo, then remix and restarts all over. I got into download mode one time since this started but since then I've made countless attempts to boot into it again and can't.
What I was doing right before this happened is, I recently completely wiped my phone, flashed stock firmware, wiped, then installed resurrection remix. Everything was going perfect, it started no problem, I went through and cleaned up some apps I didn't want etc normal setup steps then I used the power menu to boot into recovery instead of just using the hardware keys and the bootloop started.
Besides the not booting, the other major issue here is that it never stays connected to the pc via adb long enough to do any actions or flash a single file. By the time the pc sees it and adb sees it, I have roughly 2 seconds before it restarts again.
I really really really need any help I can get please ASAP as this is my mom's phone and she needs it for work in 4 hours. This issue started about four hours ago and I've been trying to fix it ever since. I feel like I have looked everywhere on here and through google but probably missed the solution. Before you ask, I'm 28 not a teenager and work in IT as a career for the last 12 years so don't get the wrong impression. She asked me to work on it because I had set it up a few months back with a lollipop version of resurrection remix and magisk, but in the last month or so she was having really poor performance and issues with settings crashing and a few other apps.
I hope you don't need any more info from me, if you do however I'll be here trying to fix it until she goes to work at least. I really could use the help and would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You
