I've been running 7.0.2 from the SD for quite some time with no real issues. I would like to try some of the newer features including longer battery life. Does the last stable 7.0.3 have the sleep issues resolved?
Also, if I change to 7.0.3 or one of the nightly(s) will my apps remain?
Thanks.
Haven't been on 7.0.3 for a while but from what I rememberit does not. I have been on the current nightlies and those do have deep sleep.

So, I'm switching from cm7 to miui I know that miuI uses the cm7 kernel?
What is the best kernel for this?
Any ideas guys?
On the latest release, I haven't switched from the stock kernel. It's running really smooth. Prior versions I was using Scary's latest super stable.
i use tiamat 1.0.3 and get well over a days worth of battery life... too lazy to download and flash 1.0.4
I also used Tiamat 1.0.3 and get great battery life. Longest battery life so far was 2 days and about 15 hours, amazing. Everything runs nice and smooth as well.
I updated to Tiamat 1.0.4 and battery life looks to be just as good.
Welcome to the wonderful world of MIUI!
Need serious help my phone for some reason always drops from around 63-50 and then when it gets to 33 it goes to 20? how can i fix this problem? im using eppy 16/4/12 nightly ROM.
same issue
I am using cm9 latest nightly ending23 on SGS2. Battery life is getting worst with each updated nightly build nothing you can do apart from carrying a spare battery. Tried other roms but this is the best by far. I am sure it will be sorted soonish ??
Hey guys, i have made an observation recently.
i have been using CM nightlies for about a month or two now, and i have noticed the battery to be quite, meh
standby times are pretty terrible tbh.
so i tried carbon rom and noticed the standby times were much better along with the screen time.
with cm nightlies, i have used several battery monitoring apps and i have come to the conclusion that the phone isnt sleeping properly,
or some sort of app is waking the phone a lot, these being system apps.
can anyone confirm this? thanks
I can confirm.
But I can also confirm that no CM based comes even close to stock based roms when it comes to battery life
Same settings being used I get 5.5~6h of screen time on a stock based vs 3.5-4.25h I get on a CM. And idle times are pretty much awful on CM. Every update theres always something new draining the battery.
i've recently rooted, and unlocked my L5
went from stock ICS, to CM 10.2
this rom is great, except for battery life
13h usage
30 minute display

need some help (and suggestion for battery-friendly rom)
this device is for my mother, so, in case, she doesn't need the latest android version :fingers-crossed:
This is an unresolved issue in 10.2. KK (CM11) is in quite early beta (and still some batterry drain), so I advice you to try 10.1 b7.1 (latest). Much better battery, only magnet sensor doesn't work.

i will try 10.1
any other custom roms with a good battery life?
I'm on Cm11 M6 (D800) and my screen-on time is pretty poor, with the screen seeming to be the main culprit. I only get about 1.5–2 hrs of screen-on time and the battery depletes very fast when I have the screen on, even doing menial tasks. I'm on stock Cm11 and have BetterBatteryStats installed, but nothing unusual is showing up at all. I've blocked the usual Google Play Services culprits, but poor battery life still persists. I also use Greenify.
Any suggestions?
Change to Mahdi ROM would be my advice.
it seems like you're running an old monthly, why not update to the latest?

I've heard a lot of good things about that ROM. Are there any major bugs?
I updated to the latest nightly build (because stable development stopped at M6), but having the same issues.
