the "official" 2.2 released will never be an OTA update. it is available either through kies mini, or from the KA6 odin files posted in the dev section (google xda ka6 odin).
So wait it has been confirmed by samsung or tmobile that its not being pushed over the air?
Ok and please please explain how do I do the kies mini update btw I have win7 64bit... thanx again

Download Kies mini. It should check your firmware and offer to update. Click yes. Done.
you know, googleing "vibrant 2.2 update" would give a link to the tmobile forums where they have 2 stickies labeled with 2.2 upgrade.
Sorry if i sound rude or mean, but i refuse to spoon feed you any further than this post.

The only suggestion I would be able to give is to upload it to dropbox, from there you could access it from a computer.

Is it a full firmware file around 100mb or just the smaller update?
It is a smaller file which is 12mb

Nope, the above file is for i9023. For our version. (See subject line) it should be a sojua file.

Nope. Updates go from 4.1.26 to 4.1.57 to 4.1.83. You need 4.1.57 to update to 83.

Why did you flash to 4.1.52 in the first place? Search dev forum. There is a guide. Everything you need is there.

Ok, so I was one of the lucky few who received the official T-mobile ota. I went under settings and it said Android 2.3.4. WTF???? I thought they said it was suppose to be 2.3.3? Can anyone else confirm this? Its very odd and Google Talk doesn't have video chat. How is that possible if its android 2.3.4?

Google Talk isn't guaranteed to have video chat in 2.3.4. It doesn't on the Nexus One.
I've only seem talk with video on nexus s and no other phones natively I think.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Idk, did T-mobile and Htc intentionally opt out of the new Google Talk in favor of the qik t-mobile video chat app that comes with the phone?
