I can attach my digital camera to the Iconia via USB, but it's hard to do anything with the photos on the camera's SD card. Using an app like Astro to explore the camera's card, you can see very small thumbnails of the pictures but cannot really browse the photos.
You can click on a single photo and it will display, but it does not fill the screen. You can't browse through the photos. Instead, you have to return to the list of files and click on the next photo in the list, and repeat that process for each image you want to view, instead of scrolling through the files on the SD card.
Also, I haven't found a way to copy pictures off of the camera's card onto the Iconia for a better viewing experience or to clear space off the camera's card.
I'm running HC 3.1 and thought it would come with an app that enabled better use of the USB host mode.
Does anybody know of a better app to view photos on a camera's SD card when it's connected via USB?

Is it possible to save directly the photographs you make or the videos to the Mini-SD instead of the internal memory or the network ??
yes it is, just select it from the options of the camera....
Be sure to hide your extended ROM, if you messed around with it
Otherwise you won't be able to store your images and videos on the SD-Card
Guys my HD doesnt recognize my photos form my diamond on my sd card in album - i can find them in pictures and videos but not in album. they are saved under my pictures - any advice please?
thanks
ok for anyone who wants to know -
change the settings on the camera to save to storage card. take a photo, you will then have a dcim file created in storage card - now transfer all your photos in here
guys
i connected my android to my computer but in all directories like data, dcim, download, etc i don't see my camera pictures
I guess camera pictures are by default stored on the sd card and when i delete a video, i see space released in the sd card menu.
Thanks
Depends on what app yuo're using (which drives me INSANE! I wish devs would follow some sort of standard when saving to the sdcard)
Camera App saves to /dcim/camera
Video App save to /dcim/video
SnapPhoto saves to /dcim/camera/date
QuickCamera saves to /quick
That's all I've used.
Hey guys. Recently bought an a500 which I love.
I tried plugging in my Fuji hs10 camera into full size USB to display some of pics I took. As soon as I did, gallery was launched and eventually it showed contents of 8gb mem card in camera.
I was wanting to copy from camera so fired up astro file manager but it said there was nothing to display (on external USB). Tried es file manager but no luck. Only way I was able to get any pic off was to use the import button present in gallerybut this only works picture at a time.
I tried mounting the USB in settings but no joy.
Can anyone recommend a way if getting multiple pics if my camera. It obviously is possible as the camera connects and files can be transfered via gallery (although its a time consuming process)

Click to collapse
Try again,
Plug in camera and import using Gallery......When you hit the -Touch here to import- overlay on your thumbnails for the camera photos it will open to show all your photos on your camera. By default they are all selected, so you just have to hit the import button in the upper right corner. If you touch any of the individual photos it will deselect that photo. Or you can deselect all from the items selected drop down menu. You can find your imported photos in the sdcard/Imported folder
Hi All,
I'm struggling to find my .DNG files when I'm using Lightroom Mobile. I use the standard camera app to take the photos, and I know that the raw files are store in the phone's internal storage, but when i hit "add photos" in Lightroom, the only photos I see are jpegs from my SD card. Is there a browse function somewhere that I'm overlooking? Lightroom does have permissions to access storage as well.
So I found that moving the .DNG file from my internal storage to my SD card's camera folder allows Lightroom to detect the file, but does everyone else have to do this?
